About the position


TheXPlace is a global video game professionals community that enables
exceptional talent, game development companies, and publishers to work
together online and create epic experiences. We were founded by veterans of

Our team is growing and we are looking to add an expert JavaScript developer
who is highly skilled with NestJS and Express.js. to help us build the best
experience for our users.
Your primary focus will be developing user-facing web applications and
components.
You will ensure that you produce robust, secure, modular, and maintainable
code. You will coordinate with other team members, including UX/UI designers
and the product team. Your commitment to team collaboration, perfect
communication, and a quality product is crucial.

📌  What you'll do:


Develop user-facing applications (frontend & backend).
Build modular and reusable components and libraries.
Optimize your application for performance.
Implement automated testing integrated into development and maintain
workflows.
Maintain ongoing application (e.g. bugs fixing).

About the candidate


What professional experience you have:
Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and
features
Solid knowledge of ReactJS
Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS
Knowledge of functional programming paradigm
Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code
Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing frameworks
such as Jest or Mocha
Proficiency with modern development tools, like Git
Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs
Experience using services on AWS cloud
Experience working with search engines (Elasticsearch/SOLR)
English Level: Advanced

⭐  Experience considered a great plus:


Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and
features
Experience with functional programming libraries such as RamdaJS or
lodash/fp
Knowledge of GraphQL (client and server)
Solid knowledge of AWS Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway,
CloudWatch, Kinesis
Understanding of single table design with DynamoDB
