Script TigerKing

The king has an obsession with hunting tigers and needs to kill one more to fulfill a prophecy. Villagers inform him of sheep disappearances which they think is caused by a tiger. The king searches but cannot find the tiger, becoming frustrated. The Dewan realizes the consequences could be catastrophic if the tiger is not found. He brings a tiger he bought and presents it to the king, who shoots and kills it. However, the tiger was not dead. The hunter then shoots and kills it. Later, the king buys a wooden tiger as a gift for his son's birthday but gets injured. The infection from the injury spreads and kills the king despite surgery.

King

● Ahh!! Its been in my mind for days n nights.


● Even my Father-in-Law’s Kingdom is running dry of Tigers.
● I just need one more Tiger, one more and that’ll do the job.
● And after I’m done killing that Tiger, I will defy death and
make that foolish astrologer an Insurance agent as he
promised.

Villagers
Debi - Fetching milk out from cow, sitting down.
Abhinav_2 - Comes and pat on his shoulders
Debi - Ignores
Abhinav_2 - Again pats.

Abhinav_2 - Have you noticed the sheeps are disappearing


recently? I don’t think it’s done by Khader Mian Saheb or
Virasami Naicker who can swallow a whole sheep.
Debi - Definitely it’s a tiger at work.
Both - (Excitedly) We should inform the King.

Both went to the King.

Debi - Your majesty, we’ve noticed sheep’s disappearing out


of the blue. It seems to us that it’s a tiger.
(Alerts Abhinav_2)
Abhinav_2 - (scared) A deadly beast.
King

● Oooh Yeah!!
● Dewan!! I need you to remove all the taxes that these
poor villagers are paying and get the things ready for our
hunt. And also, don’t forget to load my gun.

King - (Searching in the woods and singing)

● O’ Tiger… Where are you..?


(Frustated now, stands still for 2 seconds and shouts)
● Dewan!! Where is that Tiger?! I’ve been searching it for
days, now I’m sick of it!
● Fire all these officers and double all the taxes, let them
pay for their mistakes.

Abhinav_2 and Debi kneels and pray.

Dewan and King


● Dewan - But your majesty, the people will become
discontented. Then our state too will fall a prey to the
Indian National Congress.
● King - Well, In that case you may resign from your post.
Dewan - (Gets a shock)

Dewan
● Man, If I don’t do something about this Tiger thing, the
consequences could be catastrophic.
Dewan and Dewani
(Starts roaming in frustration an sees a tiger)
● Oh, the Tiger that I bought from the People’s Park in
Madras is still here. Lets take it to the King.
(Dewani comes to help)

Both inserts the Tiger into the backseat of the


car (roughly) and drives to the King.
And takes it out of the car (Roughly)

Dewan and King


King still searching vengefully.

● Dewan - Your majesty, here is the Tiger you are looking


for.
● Tiger - Master, what do you command of me?

King smirks and arranges moustache. Put eye in


eye and shoots.

● King - Ha Ha Ha.. (Laughing Intensifies) HAA HAA HAA


Now, the hundredth tiger is dead and so it that stupid
prediction. My vow has been fulfilled.
Dewan!! Bring this tiger to the Capital in grand
procession and let everyone see the hundredth Tiger, but
dead.

King goes home sweet home.


Hunter and Dewan in vocals
● Debi - I should take a look at the tiger.

Debi goes to the tiger and peeks.


Tiger opens his eyes.
Hunter gets scared and thinks

● Debi - Man, the King missed his target! What should I do


now..?
● Debi (Dewan in vocals) - If the King somehow got to
know this, he’ll again fire and multiply our taxes.

Hunter takes a clear aim at the tiger and shoots it


undoubtedly.

Carries the Tiger to the burial spot and Buries it
with sand by a shovel

King
● Now that I’ve fulfilled my desires, I should focus more on
my family now.
● Ohh!! I totally forgot, in a few days its my son’s third
birthday.
● I should gift him something special this time.
● I should probably check out the shopping center.
King and Shopkeeper and his inner voice

King walks by some stores and nods his head in


rejection.

● King - Hey! I like that wooden tiger.


● Shopkeeper - (Alarmingly scared and bows)
● King - Name its price.
● Shopkeeper - (Goes to thinking)
● Inner Voice - Man, this wooden tiger is made by an
unskilled carpenter and only costs about 2 annas and a
quarter. And if I said this price, I’ll be punished under the
rules of emergency.
● King - Hey! I said name its price.
● Shopkeeper - Your majesty, this is an extremely rare
example of craftsmanship, a bargain at 300 rupees.
● King - Very good, let this be your offering to the crown
prince on his birthday.
● Shopkeeper - (Hands that tiger over to the king)

King and Surgeon

After 4 days

(King lying unconsciously)


● Surgeon_1 - The infection has developed into a
suppurating sore and has spread all over his arm.
● Surgeon_2 - It requires a surgery.

3 Surgeons starts performing their surgery. And


returns from operation theatre and announces :

● The operation was a success. Your Maharaja is dead.
