Traditional Detailed Lesson Plan


In Teaching Arts in Elementary Grade Two

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Identify and define the secondary colors (orange, green and purple)
b. Mixed primary colors to produce secondary colors.
c. Develop cooperation in a group activities.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Topic: Secondary colors
Materials: Television monitor, diorama, Qr code scanner, printed Qr Code for
Activities, watercolors, mixing spoon, plastic cup, and plastic
bottles
References: Curriculum guide 2nd quarter.
Values integration: Cooperating and actively participating with showing
respect and kindness in a group activity.

III. LESSON PROPER:

1. Preliminary
a. Greetings:
Good morning children! - Good morning ma’am!
b. Prayer:
The teacher will lead the prayer

The teacher will now have the chance to


introduce the secondary colors (orange,
purple and green) by showing a color
paper and letting students to identify what
color is it and asking the students what
corresponding colors they belong to.

orange as well.

4. Discussion:
After the students answering to the
question, the teacher will now have
a chance to present the lesson.

When the students becomes


more familiarize with the
secondary colors, the teacher
will now let the students to read
the following:
1. If you mix color yellow and color red
together, it will turn into color
orange.

- The students will answer


2. If you mix color blue and red ( If we mix primary color to another
together, it will turn into purple. primary color it will produce a
secondary color)

3. If you mix color yellow and blue


together, it will turn into color green.

After that, the teacher will ask them


question such as “ what will happen if we
mix a primary color with another primary
color?” - The three secondary colors are
orange, purple and green.
Wow that’s very impressive you all got it
right!

- Ma’am , we should mix the two


primary colors to create secondary
colors.

- Ma’am we should mix red and


yellow to produce orange color.
- We should also mix red and blue.
5. Generalization: - We should mix yellow and blue.
For the teacher to know if the students

Now let’s apply what you have learned.

The name of this activity is “find and


create me!”

Before conducting the group


activity, the teacher will instruct
the students to be attentive, be
cooperative and to behave in
doing activity with their group
mates.

The teacher will divide the class


into 3 groups, the teacher then
will provide different food colors
that students will going to use
during an activity.

But before letting students to do


the activity, the teacher will
perform it first and then after
that, the teacher will tell all the
students to prepare 1 QR code
scanner because the teacher
have already posted a QR code
in every corner of the room that
will serve them as guide to
complete the task. - Yes ma’am !
- Yes ma’am ! ( Answering with full of
excitement)

- All students will start doing their


activity with showing cooperation
