EVALUATION, DRILLING and INTERVENTION

General Plan
All in green is done before RIH
1. HELD PJSM.
2. Close Blind Rams.
3. P/up and M/up W/Ford Milling Assy As per BHA 2.
4. Scribe high Side as per Directional Driller.
5. Rack back/Lay down Milling Assy.
6. R/Up 2 long casing Slings to Top drive elevator bails.
7. Close Blind Rams.
8. HELD PJSM. P/Up Whipstock. Once whipstock is picked up horizontally by crane and tailed to the rig floor,
attach the slings from the top drive provided swivel to the whipstock and start to pick up slowly & set the
whipstock on Rig Floor. Install Brass shear screws as per Weatherford.
9. P/Up whipstock and set it inside the rotary table with T-Bar(W/FORD) and secure the hole.
10. P/Up milling assy and M/up with Whipstock with 48kips Shear Bolt, attach Control line. Secure the control
Line.
11. Open Blind Rams.
12. RIH 13-3/8’’ Whipstock Assy@ 3-4 mins /stand slip to slip.
• Check Tong dies and Drill pipe Slip dies, ensure it is clear prior to RIH.
• Check and Keep ready 8” and 61/2” DC Slip and Safety clamp(Dog Collar) ready.
• Drain BOP prior to RIH whipstock if hole is not centered.
• Extreme caution while passing through BOP and Well head area.
• If the string is with less weight use Dog collars.
• No rotation, No pumps, No jerking, No turning of string and No pipe Filling.
• If any held ups observed during RIH call Weatherford. Don’t Apply down weight and up weight.
• During RIH Set slips slowly.
13. Continue RIH to Setting Depth @ 266.70m Cross check the BHA and the number of pipes available in derrick.
14. Reciprocate and release trapped Torque.
15. At setting depth, Orient tool face as per Jindal/ONGC DD and Weatherford Instructions.
16. Set Whipstock as per Weatherford Instructions. Confirm Whipstock set and apply down weight of 48k to
shear attachment bolt from the whipstock and slack off weight till 65Kips to energize packer.
17. P/U 1 mtr and establish parameters. Take free torque and start Milling Operation at top of whipstock as per
Whipstock engr. Viscosity – 70/80.
18. Pump 20 Barrel High Viscosity sweep every 1meter or 1 hour milled
19. Keep good Record on Weatherford provided Milling sheet.
20. Finish milling 5.5 Mtrs Window & 7 Mtrs rat-hole.
21. Ream window & Rat hole for several times with Different RPM, pass window with and without rotation, pass
window with and without pumps. Call Directional Driller to check window.
22. Once confirmed and agreed by all parties, pump 30 Barrel Sweep bottoms Up & Pull out of hole.
23. POOH check gauge Q C Mills*. All Tools back to Tool baskets
24. Pick Drilling BHA & Start Drilling Program
Rig Preparation:
➢ Pup Joints (3’,5’ and 10’) required as per BHA 1 and 2 for space out.
➢ X-overs required as per BHA 1 & 2.
➢ 2 long casing slings and shackles for whipstock ( 4.5 tons)
➢ Install Ditch magnets in flow line and shakers.
➢ Clean and collect metal cuttings. ( Use rubber Gloves).
*Note:
Note: An additional /clean out run has to be done only if mills are coming out of the hole more
than ¼” under gauge as per Weatherford specifications.
