Computer Data Transferring
Editor: HRN “EAD Data (Data)” & “IGSS Data (OWS/STW)”

Gather/Backup the data from a functional 2100/2200 Computer:


Please see “Step by Step (A), (B) & (C)” for details of the following points marked with (A), (B) & (C).
1.1 (A), Note the path of the “Data” folder e.g. “C:\Ship\(Hull No./Ship Name)\Data\load”.
1.2 (B), Unlock the Computer, and restart.
2. From the path noted, copy the two folders “Data” & “OWS/STW” to a USB stick.
Note: The “OWS/STW” folder do not exist on EAD Computers.
3. (C), Lock the Computer, and restart.

Transfer the data to a 2100/2200 Computer:


Please see “Step by Step (A), (B) & (C) for details of the following points marked with (A), (B) & (C).
1.1 (A), Note the path of the “Data” folder e.g. “C:\Ship\Data\load”.
1.2 (B), Unlock the Computer, and restart.
2. From the USB stick, transfer the “Data” & “OWS” folder to the path e.g. “C:\Ship\”.
Note: The “OWS” folder is not required on EAD Computers.
3. From the desktop, start the EAD program and check the functionality.
4. Click “File” and select “Exit”, to close/exit the EAD program.
5. (C), Lock the Computer, and restart.

“Step by Step (A), (B) & (C)”


Step by Step (A) – Note the path of the “Data” folder:
1. From the *CS**** tab, click on “Maintenance” and then click on “Maintenance”.
Or from the EAD Menu bar, click on “Diagram” and then click on “Maintenance”.
Or from the EAD Menu bar, click on “File” and then click on “Maintenance”.
2. In the Maintenance window, click on the tab “Advanced” and then click on “Info…”.
3. From the “Info” window “General” tab (top of scroll), see the “Load folder” line.

4. Make a note of the path for the “Data” folder, and then click on the button “Close”.
Step by Step (B) - Unlock the Computer:
5. Click on the tab “Advanced” and then click on the button “shell=explorer”.
6. Enter the password “334455”/“lsm” (LSM)/“admin” and click “OK”.
7. Turn OFF manually, press the Power button and wait for power down to finish.
8. Turn ON manually, press the Power button and wait for boot up.
9. At “Windows Login”, login as the User: “Operator” with the password: “lsm” (LSM).
Step by Step (C) - Lock the Computer:
1. From the desktop, double click on the icon “EAD Settings”.
If the icon “EAD Settings” does not exist:
Click on “Start”→”Programs”→”Lyngsø Marine” and then select “EAD settings”.
2. From the “EAD settings” window, click on the tab “Main”.
3. From the “EAD settings” window → “Main” tab, select the Shell “EAD” and click “OK”.
4. Select “Close + reboot” and then click “OK”.
