This pattern provides instructions for crocheting a My Little Chihuahua doll using various yarn colors. The chihuahua is made in two color variations - brown and white or black and brown. Materials
- 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- 4 different yarns calling for 2,5 mm (US 1 ½) hook
- 2 safety eyes 7 mm
- stuffing

My Little Chihuahua turns out at a size of 11 cm with the yarn i used. If you work with cotton yarn,
she will turns out at a size of 17 cm. In that case use bigger safety eyes

Yarns

I used the following yarns:

The brown chihuahua:


Brown for the body, arms, legs and ears,
Regia Uni 4-ply color: 17 (+/- 30 gr)
White for the snout, arms and legs,
Regia Uni 4-ply color: 2080
Pink for the sweater,
Regia Tweed 4-ply color: 9071
The black chihuahua:
Black for the body, arms, legs and ears,
Regia Uni 4-ply color: 2066 (+/- 30 gr)
Brown for the snout, arms and legs,
Atelier Zitron Trekking XXL color: 201
Blue for the sweater,
Atelier Zitron Trekking XXL color: 211
Abbreviations
st(s) = stitch(es) dc = double crochet

Head and body
We start with the head and work down to the bottem.
Make a loop with brown/black.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. [sc in next st, 2sc inc] 6x (18 sts)
4. [sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc] 6x (24 sts)
5. [sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc] 6x (30 sts)
6. [sc in next 4 st, 2sc inc] 6x (36 sts)
7. [sc in next 5 st, 2sc inc] 6x (42 sts)
8. [sc in next 6 st, 2sc inc] 6x (48 sts)
9.-11. 48 sc (3 rounds)

Fill the body with soft stuffing.

Break yarn and close the body.

Collar
Make a foundation chain of 8 and start in the 3th ch from hook.
Work 6 hdc.
Round:
2.-18 2 ch, turn work around, 6 hdc
Fold the collar and pleace it around the neck.

Legs
Make a loop with white/brown.
Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. [sc in next st, 2sc inc] 6x (18 sts)
4. [sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc] 6x (24 sts)
5.-7. 24 sc (3 rounds)
8. 8 sc, 4x 2sctog, 8 sc (20 sts)
9. 7 sc, 3x 2sctog, 7 sc (17 sts)
10. 17 sc
Change color and continue with brown/black
11.-12. 17 sc (2 rounds)
13. 2sctog, 15 sc (16 sts)
14. 16 sc
15. 2sctog, 14 sc (15 sts)
16. 15 sc
17. 2sctog, 13 sc (14 sts)
18.-19. 14 sc (2 rounds)

After stuffing the leg you sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st


(sc 7) after it’s done cut the yarn while you ensure to leave
enough yarn to sew the legs onto the body. Make another
one. Place the legs between round 3 and 7 of the body
(see photo for reference).

Paw

Make a loop with pink/brown.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
Break yarn while you ensure to leave enough yarn to sew
the paws onto the feet. Make another one.
Embroider with pink 4 toes.

Arms

Make a loop with white/brown.

Round: Change color and continue with brown/black


1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
10.-11. 13 sc (2 rounds)
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
12. 2sctog, 11 sc
3. [sc in next st, 2sc inc] 6x (18 sts)
13. 12 sc
4.-6. 18 sc (3 rounds)
14. 2sctog, 10 sc
7. 6 sc, 3x 2sctog, 6 sc (15 sts)
15. 11 sc
8. 6 sc, 2x 2sctog, 5 sc (13 sts)
Change color and continue with pink/blue
9. 13 sc
16.-17 11 sc (2 rounds)

After stuffing the arm you sew or sc tog the 2 opposed st (sc 5) after it’s done cut the yarn while you ensure to
leave enough yarn to sew the arms onto the body. Make another one. Place the arms at round 29 of the body
with 2 sc between.

Ears
Outside ear (make 2 of them)
Make a loop with brown/black.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop. 6. [sc in next 5 st, 2sc inc] 3x (21 sts)
2. [sc in next st, 2sc inc] 3x (9 sts) 7. [sc in next 6 st, 2sc inc] 3x (24 sts)
3. [sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc] 3x (12 sts) 8.-11. 24 sc (4 rounds)
4. [sc in next 3 st, 2sc inc] 3x (15 sts) 12. [sc in next 6 st, sc2tog] 3x (21 sts)
5. [sc in next 4 st, 2sc inc] 3x (18 sts) 13. [sc in next 5 st, sc2tog] 3x (18 sts)

Sew or slst tog the 2 opposed st (slst 9) after it’s done break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to
attach the ears onto the head.

Inside ear (make 2 of them)


Make a loop with brown.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. 1 sc, 2sc inc, 1 hdc, 3dc inc, 1 hdc, 2sc inc, 1 sc,
2sc inc, 1 sc, 2sc inc, 1 sc, 2sc inc

Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to


sew the pieces in the ears. Place the ears between
round 4 and 12 of the head.

Snout
Make a loop with white.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2. 2 sc in each st around (12 sts)
3. [sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc] 4x (16 sts)
4.-5. 16 sc (2 rounds)
6. 2sc inc, 7 sc, 2sc inc, 7 sc (18 sts)
7. [sc in next 2 st, 2sc inc] 6x (24 sts)

Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to


sew the snout onto the head.

If you want to make a white spot above the snout (see photo) DON’T break yarn and continue with the following
definition:
Round:
12. 5 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
8. 3 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
13. skip 1th st, 4 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
9. 3 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
14. skip 1th st, 3 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
10. 2sc inc, 2 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
15. skip 1th st, 2 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
11. 2sc inc, 3 sc, 1 ch, turn work around
16. skip 1th st, 1 sc
Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to sew the snout onto the head (3 lines above the body). Fill
with some stuffing material. Embroider with a rest of black yarn a nose and mouth.

Tail

Make a loop with brown/black.

Round:
1. 6 sc in the yarn loop and tighten the loop.
2.-3. 6 sc (2 rounds)
4. 2sc inc, 5sc
5.-7. 7 sc (3 rounds)
8. 2sc inc, 6 sc
9.-12. 8 sc (4 rounds)
13. 2sc inc, 7 sc
14.-18. 9 sc (5 rounds)

Break yarn and make sure you leave enough yarn to


sew the tail onto the body.
