Warm up Stand up in front of the class choose Time: 10 min

stablish a dialog with you. Repeat
the procedure with other students.

Presentation Display the flashcards of classroom Time: 5 min.
objects on the board, teach the
vocabulary and encourage students
to repeat each word.
Activity 1 Ask the students to observe the Time: 5 min
ilustrations. Read the first part of
the dialog aloud. Point to the boy
and ask: What’s his name? Answer :
Ken!. Point to the bag, and ask
what’s this? A schoolbag. Read the
second part of the dialog, Ask the
students to look at the objects and
put a mark by the objects
mentioned by Ken. Invite some
volunteers to mention them.
Activity 2 Read and mark. Ask the students to Time: 10 min
cut the cutouts of the objects and
words of the classroom. When they
have finished ask them to put the
cutouts on her /his desk. Say: Show
me a pencil and invite the students
to show the cutouts, one by one.
Point to the pencil and ask What’s
this? A pen, ask them to show the
correspondent word. Continue
doing the same with other images.
Finally invite the students to stick
the cutouts on the correspondent
spaces.
Activity 3 Ask the students to observe again Time:5 min
the objects of the exercise before.
Reproduce the recording 9 and
instruct them to point and repeat in
chorus each of the words. Display
the flashcards on the board. Point
them one by one and ask the name
of the objects one by one.
Activity 4 Form two teams and ask that a Time: 5 min
member of each team, shows a
classroom object, following your
lead, when you say: Show me a pen.
Repeat the procedure with different
objects and different students.
Activity 5 Trace the words and match. Time: 5 min
Ask the students to trace the words.
After that hold your book, point to
the word glue stick and with your
finger trace an imaginary line to the
correspondent object, while you
say, Match, instruct he students to
match the rest of the words eith the
correspondent object.
Activity 6 Connect the dots. Then complete Time:10 min
the words on the board, draw a
triangle with 3 points and number
them from 1 to 3. Join the dots
slowly. Say one when you trace the
line that goes from 1 to 2 and say
two. Continue in this way until finish
the figure. Continue in the same
procedure with a square, and the
objects in Hamilton’s bag.
Activithy 7 Draw four school objects then ask Time:5 min
the students to draw four objects on
the notebooks. Organice the group
in couples and ask that each one
shows and say the object that he or
she draw.
Activity 8 Form two teams. Show the flashcard Time: 5 min
one by one. The teams have to
identify each object as quick as
possible and say the words aloud.
The first team to identify the object
correctly and say the word wins a
point.
BREAK Time: 20 min
Activity 9 Form teams of 5 or 6 students. Time: 10 min
Write on the board epn, okob,and
cerno. Explain that there are three
objects of the classroom, but the
words of their names are scramble.
Ask the teams to put in order the
letters to form words, the team who
finishes first has to stand up. Invite
the first team to go to the front and
write the words. If there are any
mistakes, ask the second group to
correct them.
Activity 10 Look and match. Say the students to Time: 5 min
observe the gifts and join them with
the correspondent sentences. When
they have finished, point to the first
gift and ask: What is it? And invite
the class to respond. It’s a crayon.
Repeat with the other two gifts.
Activity 11 Say it! Show a flashcard and ask: Time: 10 min
What is it? And invite a volunteer to
respond: It’s a _____. Repeat
various times with different
students and flashcards. Show a
flashcard to a student and
encourage him/her to ask: What is
it? After that invite a second student
to respond: It’s a _____. Repeat as
many times as necessary, for every
body to participate.
Activity 12 Listen and draw. Play the recording Time: 10 min
11 and make a pause after the first
object. Repeat the instruction Draw
a glue stick, while you draw on the
board a glue stick, repeat the
instruction and ask the students to
draw on their books. Continue
playing the recording and make a
pause after each instruction for the
students to draw. Finally ask the
students to color the objects
Activity 13 Point to the draw of the glue stick Time: 10 min
on the board and ask What is it?
Invite the students to respond It’s a
glue stick! Ask them to circle and
trace the words. Then ask the
students to continue doing the same
with the rest of the objects. When
they have finished, point to the
objects, one by one and ask What is
it? The students respond It’s a /
an_____
Activity 14 Ask the student to cut the draws of Time: 10 min
classroom objects. Invite two
students to come to the front. Asign
to one of them the letter A and to
the other the letter B. Say to the
student A to put the cut outs on the
board. Ask student B to observe the
cards during 10 seconds and after
that to close his/her eyes. Instruct
student A to hide a cut out and ask
student B to say What is missing?
Form couples and invite students to
play.
Activity 15 Draw on the board a chart divided in Time: 10 min
6 parts and ask the students to copy
it on their notebook. Explain that
you are going to play BINGO. Ask
that each student choose 6 objects
of the vocabulary and draw them on
the spaces and write under each
draw their names. Mix the
flashcards. Show the first one and
ask What is it? For the students
respond It’s a ____. Ask the ones
who have the object to mark it. The
first person to mark all the objects
has to shout out BINGO!
Activity 16 Put an object in a bag that the Time: 5 min
students already know. A notebook
for example. Show the bag and
explain that inside, there is an
object. Ask them What is it? And
invite the students to guess. Ask
that each student guess only once
saying It’s a/an____. Ask a volunteer
to go to the front and take out the
object of the bag and say What is it.
Activity 17 Play the recording 12. Ask the Time: 10 min
students to listen to and say the
story on their books. Invite three
volunteers to go to the front. Asign
them the roles of the story and
encourage them to represent it in
front of the class.
Activity 18 Listen again and answer the Time: 5 min
question. Point to the text with the
question. Play the recording 12. Ask
the students to listen to the story
again and answer the question. Ask
What is it? For the class to respond
It’s a pencil sharpener .
Activity 19 Form groups of three students and Time: 10 min
ask each student choose one of the
roles of the story. Say to act out the
dialog. Sugest that the groups take
some time to prepare and practice
the dialog. When they have finished
invite one group to the front to act
out the dialog.
Activity 20 Invite a volunteer to go to the front. Time: 10 min
Put a vend in his/her eyes. Give
him/her an object and ask What is
it?Ask the students to touch the
object and to guess What is it? It’s
a /an______.
Activity 21 Invite the students to draw the Time: 10 min
glossary of the lesson. Point to the
objects and invite students to say
one by one the correspondent
words.
Activity 22 Teacher asks students to race to the Time: 5 min
front as they listen to the teacher
lead and says Bring me the ______

Activity 23 Play hide and find. First Time: 10 min

tell everyone to close their eyes.
Hide it in or near one of the
classroom objects. Tell everyone to
open their eyes. Show that he object
is now gone and is hidden
somewhere. Ask for a volunteer to
stand up and find the object near
one of the classroom objects. When
they have found the object give a
big round of applause.
Wrap up Form two teams and line them up so Time: 20 min
that two players from each team
are facing the front with the basket
in front of them. Let both players
throw their ball if they get their ball
into the basket they can try and win
a point by saying the correct word of
the flashcard you hold up. Then they
go to the back of the line. Play until
all of the flashcards have been
answered correctly.
Clean the classroom.
Homework Stick on your notebook cut out of Time: 5 min
classroom objects studied during
class.
Materials Flashcards of classroom objects, koala bear, audios, tape
recorder, classroom objects.
