STAR FRIENDS collection

Crochet Pattern

MATERIALS:
2mm crochet hook;
Black, light and dark gray, and a little bit of red yarn;
Sewing needle;
Stuffing material;
Scissors.

Darth Vader FRIEND is a design toy created by TheNomadKnot


especially for the “Star Friends” collection.

This toy was crocheted with 100% acrylic yarn.


Using a 2mm crochet hook and light yarn (around 100g), the
finished size must be around 14cm.
The stuffing material used in this toy is hypoallergenic polyester.

This pattern is for personal use. Sharing information from this


pattern is prohibited. You may sell items made from this pattern,
provided credit to The Nomad Knot as the designer.

For this pattern we will work the toy starting from the legs and
finishing at the head. Let’s begin!

LEGS
With black yarn

1 row 6sc in magic ring


2 row 6inc total 12sts
3 row 12bpsc
4 to 7 row 12sc

• Cut the yarn, fasten off the first leg and make the second one.

• Don’t cut the yarn off the second leg. Chain 2 (image 04).

Tip: at the end of


each row, count
how many stitches
you have in total.
This will help you to
never leave a stitch
behind.

• Connect the two legs by inserting the chain inside one stitch of
the first leg (image 05).

NOTE: for the row 8 you should make 1SC in each of the chains,
12sc around the leg, again 1SC in the other side of each chain, 12sc.
Having a total of 28 stitches (image 06).

BODY
Continue with black yarn,

8 row 28sc
9 row 7sc, 1inc, 9sc, 1inc, 10sc Total 30sts
10 to 15 row 30sc

Tip: use a colorful yarn as a


marker in the last stitch of
every row. This will help
you to keep track of your
work and avoid getting

• Start stuffing the toy before continuing to row 19.

CHEST DETAIL
Start with black yarn chain 11, skip the first stitch,

2 and 3 row 10sc
4 row 2sc, 1dec, 2sc, 1dec, 2sc Total 8sts

• Cut the yarn and fasten off.


• With light gray yarn, make 5 double lines like shown in image

• Use pins to fasten the chest detail in the upper part of the toy.
• Sew the detail in the toy.
• With light gray and red yarn, embroider the control under the
chest detail (image 31).

EYES DETAIL
• With dark gray, chain 19.
• Jump first st,

1 row 18sc
2 row chain 12, jump 8sts, conect the chain in the 9st with
sl, 1sl next st, chain 12 and connect at last st of the
row, chain 2, turn the detail;
3 row 26sc

• Cut the yarn and fasten off.

• Use pins to help you fasten the eyes detail between row 28 to
34.
• Sew the detail in the toy.

FRONT DETAIL
With black yarn start,

• Embroider 5 stripes with dark gray making chain stitches. Start from

Here we stop working in continius round. Attatch the black yarn in the
first SC before the DC of the last row of the detail (image 43),

Contour of the cape with: 14Hdc in first digonal, 20sc down part,
14Hdc in another side (image 54).

• Cut the yarn and fasten off.

ASSEMBLY
1. Use pins to fasten the front part detail, starting middle part of
the eye detail (sewing it on the gray part). Image 55 and 56.

2. Sew the arms at row 18 of the toy (image 57).

3. Place the helmet over the face, fasten with pins and sew all
around its head (Image 58).

4. Place the cap around Darth Vader’s shoulder and sew


connecting the edge.
