Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity

to outline your planning and organisation

independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

Pathway
Graphics and Digital Design

Project Title
Problem Solving

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 150 words) The brief wants me to start problem solving, I have chosen to create a series
of posters to stop armed conflict. My posters will be created by hand and
digitally using different medias of graphic design so that I am able to
experiment with my designs. This project will need me to use my skills on
adobe programmes as well as being able draw as I plan on using multiple
different methods for my posters, my knowledge on the elements of graphic
design will be used to ensure I have professional posters of a high quality.
From this project I plan on learning how to use uncommon forms of graphic
design such as silk screen, gouache and paint.

Section 2: Project
Concept My overall idea for this project is to create 6 posters to stop armed conflict, I
(approx. 200 words) want the posters to be created using tools I haven’t tried before so that I can
experiment with different forms of graphic design. My target audience are men
and women aged 16-33 as you will need to be aged between 16-33 to join the
army, however my posters are also targeted towards presidents, prime
ministers and royals as they declare wars. I plan on researching current
conflicts so I can create posters that are up to date and relevant to the world.
Practical work I plan on creating are hand drawn and digital posters, if I have
time I also plan on creating a gif so I am able to experiment with all forms of
graphic design. Resources I will need are access to adobe programmes,
paper, scanners, paint and pencils, these will be used to create my posters I
may also use gouache and silk screen however I will need to learn how to use
them through tutorials or asking my tutor for help.

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 150 words) I plan on creating a weekly plan and padlet plan so that i can stay on task and
have enough time for my prototype and test phase of the project, with this plan
i will be able to keep track of what i need to create and how long i have left with
my project. I plan on doing a focus group at the start of the project and one at
the end of the project so i am able to get feedback and ideas to stop me having
any problems or issues with my designs. I will use my annotations as a way to
discuss what went well and how i can improve my work so that i am critical on
myself and able to improve my work when i have time according to my plan.
