About the operator

This instrument must be operated by nationally qualified doctors or technicians who is

well skilled to use machine.

About diagnostics

Clinical diagnosis based on the measurement result and its treatment must to be
determined together with clinical symptoms and other checkup results by a doctor in
charge of the patient.

Take ground

Unless it is done ,it may cause an electrical shock when breakdown and electrical power
leaking occure.

3
Power unit outlet should be independent

Place instrument where independent power receptacle can be used. use receptacle
different from the one used by a device that easily generate noise such as a centrifuge
etc.

Note: Instrument can not be installed without proper Stabilized voltage, Earthing and
Proper environmental conditions. If fail to fulfil or providing false information will be
harmful for the instrument.

6
Steps for Installation
1.Check groundings of the power supply:

 Before Installing the Analyzer, it is necessary to check for good mains supply.
 It is important to have a good earthing since poor earthing causes variation in the
results which will affect the performance of the machine.
 Phase (Left side in the socket) to Neutral (Right side in the socket) = 110/220Vac (±
10Vac) without fluctuation.
 Phase (Left side in the socket) to Earth (Top side in the socket) = 110/220Vac (± 5Vac)
without fluctuation.
 Neutral (Right side in the socket) to Earth (Top side in the socket) = not more than
± 5Vac.

Environmental conditions for the analyzer:

 The ambient temperature should be from 15- 40ºC.

 Instrument should be placed away from direct sunlight, dust free & well-
ventilated environment.
 Instrument should not be placed near any device generating high frequency wave.

2.Maintenance and Instrument

Care Daily Maintenance:
 Wipe off any reagent spills on the instrument immediately.
 After every Chemistry run, wash the flowcell thoroughly with good quality
Distilled / Deionised water using the aspiration switch.
 Always leave the flowcell filled with distilled / deionised water. Never leave any
reaction mixture in it.
 Empty the waste solution bottle every evening.

Caution:
 Do not use strong Acidic or Alkaline solutions which can cause irrepairable damage to
the instrument.
 Do not leave the Flowcell dry. Always leave it filled with distilled / deionised water.

NOTE: It is advisable to carry out the PERISTALTIC PUMP CALIBRATION

every week in order to compensate for the change in elasticity of the tubing.

4.Replacement of tubings:
Replace the aspiration and peristaltic pump tubing if it shows signs of wear and tear.

Replacement of Aspiration tubing:

 Open the Flowcell flap, gently remove the flowcell from its slot.
 Unscrew the aspiration tubing from the flowcell.
 Slide out the connector, O-ring and washer of the old aspiration tubing.
 Slide in the connector, O-ring and washer into the new aspiration tubing.
 Check for proper flanging of new tubing, if not then rub it on a clean flat surface.
 Screw it to the flowcell.
 Place the flowcell back into its slot.
 Aspirate deionised water.
 Close the flowcell flap cover.

10
5.Replacement of peristaltic Pump:

 Unscrew the machine's top cover.

 Replace the Pump with new Pump Casstte (with tubing)
 Lock it with the bush buttons.
 Connect the first end to the flowcell outlet tubing and the other end to the waste
tubing.
 Perform pump calibration with 1 mL Deionised water.

Note: After replacement of the Pump, it is essential to recalibrate the peristaltic pump.

6.Photometer Assembly:
Lamp Assembly :

Photo micro sensor is to control the home position of filterwheel.

Lamp Replacement Procedure :

 Switch OFF the instrument, unplug the power cord.

 Open the Machine's top cover, remove lamp connector.
 Unscrew the old lamp.
 Replace the lamp with the new one, wipe it with a clean lintfree tissue.
 Connect the lamp connector.
 Connect power cord, switch ON the machine.
 Click on 'Service' Icon, select 'Absorbance Mode'.
 Select 340nm filter.
 Aspirate Deionised/ Distilled water, check the Absorbance and Count (Abs. should
be around ± 0.00-0.01 and Count should be minimum 17000).
 Adjust the lamp height using Allen keys.

NOTE:
 Lamp voltage should be 5.5 – 5.8 Volts.(More voltage will affect the lamp life.)
Lens adjustment should be disturbed only if the counts are not adjusted by lamp
adjustment.

Photodiode PCB : Converts Light into electrical signal.

12
Trouble Shooting for Instrument:

 If machine crashes :- Internal action not completed as expected during sample analysis
or while saving the desired changes.
 Could not Save Date & Time :- Date & Time Could not be set to RTC.

NOTE: If the above things happen then attach a pendrive, go to 'Set Up' option, Copy
Log and send to HO.
