•Slot 2 is dedicated to the Core Spare Board
•Slots 3-4 are universal, reserved for transport and radio plug-ins

MSS-4 Supports up to 12 unprotected links, or 1 protected link and 10 unprotected links, or 2 protected links and 8 unprotected links
Fan unit is optional and is needed in order to reach +65°C; MSS-4 without Fan Unit supports up to +45°C for all equipment configurations.

 Corevo 10G/1G board functionality

CorEvo-10G Board
• 100 Gbit/sec not blocking switching matrix to cross connect all the
traffic flows
• Provide user traffic interfaces (4 x 1 GE electrical ports) and 4 x SFP ( ports
5-6 can support SFP 1/10Gbps)
• Provide two radio interfaces for MPT-HC/XP/HC-HQAM/XP-HQAM, MPT-HLS
and MPT-HLC connectivity
• Clock Recovery Unit function
• Synch IN/OUT managed by SFP SFP Synch IN/OUT
• Micro SD, hosting the NE database and running the controller software
Supplies the 1, 2, 5 or 10 MHz sine-wave clock
CorEvo-1G Board input/output for CorEvo and MSS-1 (next releases).
COREvo-1G is a cost optimized version of COREvo-10G board. In CoreEvo is applicable to ports 7 and 8.
Feature level is the same apart from the 2xSFP+ ports that here are
only 1Gbps capable.

 PDH Board
The PDH Access Board has two main functions:

•Termination or reconstruction of the E1 signal with the original PDH Timing meeting G823/824 Requirements.
•Encapsulation/Extraction of those PDH data flows into/from std Eth packets MEF8 Compliant
•Up to 6 boards on MSS-8 shelf

SDH card
9500MPR SDH Access card is the board that enables 9500 MPR to be connected to a SDH network.
The same board can be used in two different working modes, addressing two different network scenarios:

•STM-1 mux/demux / 1xSTM-1 in channelized mode or

•STM-1 transparent transport over the radio / Up to 2xSTM-1 interfaces

RF couplers for 6-7-8 & 11-38 GHz bands
The ODU coupler is used in the 1+1 HSB or 1+1/2x(1+0) FD
co-polar configurations.

The coupler can be :

Equal type (3 dB/3 dB insertion loss)

Unequal type (1 dB main path/10 dB secondary path)

Bands from 11 to 38 GHz Bands 6-7-8 GHz
