SCOPE OF WORKS - PC PILE TRANSPORTATION

1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Every construction project requires a correct materialization of the works to be built, to guarantee the
construction of the conditions designed and verified for the project. This materialization is carried out
through the locations, staking out and topographic controls developed throughout the construction stage,
from the start date of the project to its final delivery.

1.2 GENERAL ACTIVITIES TO BE EXECUTED


Considering the GPS established in the design stages, once the PMT is approved for the start of activities,
the project will be staked out and the location of auxiliary boundary markers for construction and tests
will be carried out.

1.3 EQUIPMENT
The equipment to be used in the development of the project will be the following (among others):

• Data recorders
• Precision level
• Camera
• Hand equipment
• Excavation equipment
• Transmitter and receiver probes
• Recording apparatus
• Depth measuring encoding device

• PC or laptop
• Accelerometer
• Impact device
• Data storage devices
• Graphical output device
• Liquid penetrant testing materials, removers and developers
• Yokes, permanent magnets, prods, bench unit, UV-A Lamps, etc.

1.4 INSPECTION AND TESTING


During the development of the project, the necessary equipment to carry out the tests will be required.
This equipment must be calibrated and/or verified with a properly calibrated standard equipment.

Calibration records will be kept in the project files and will be verified during internal and external audits
carried out during the project.

1.4.1 Human Resources


The personnel that carry out the tests must be qualified to carry out them, with the corresponding
certifications for PIT and Cross-hole tests. For Welding inspections and tests, the personnel must be
certified by the AWS.

2 PREVIOUS ACTIVITIES
The Contractor must provide their own source of electric power, required to operate the computing and
other systems, as well as all the civil works needed to execute the main scope of the tests.

2.1 PIT, CSL, Welding


The contractor must follow all the guidelines specified on the following standards (current versions):

• ASTM D 5882
• ASTM D 6760
• AWS D.1.1
• AWS D.1.4
• AWS D.1.1 / ASTM E-165
• AWS D.1.1 / ASTM E-709

TYPE OF PILE TEST CONSTRUCTION PHASE

At least 7 days after the pile was cast or when the concrete

3 CONCLUSIONS

- The methodology and therefore the schedule depends on the fulfillment of the preliminary activities
foreseen.

- The contractor proposes the most practical intervention conditions, based on the previous experiences
of the specialized professionals in each area.

- The document may be updated when the contractor considers improvements in its construction
procedures.
