Unit Test 01

Penicillin was discovered in 1928 by Alexander Fleming in London. Fleming was cleaning his laboratory when he noticed that a plate with staphylococcus bacteria had a ring of mould that seemed to inhibit the bacteria. The substance from the mould, which he named penicillin notatum, was subsequently found to have antibiotic properties. Penicillin, discovered nearly a century ago, has since saved countless lives.
