In this course there is full description of tNavigator Import-Export and Reports:


1. Save binary files E100, Save RSM file
2. Summary Report for Accumulative or Instantaneous parameters
3. Create screenshot (visualizations, graphs), save in vector format (SVG) from Graph Templates
4. Save data for blocks (Block Statistics), graphs, Well profile
5. Load measured bottom-hole pressure for wells. Load arbitrary parameters as graphs on Graph
Templates
6. Summation of user visualization for grid blocks around the wellbore (Save Side Track Well
Report)
7. Export static and dynamic properties of the model
8. Properties calculator (User Maps)
9. Load boundaries of FIP regions (sectors) from file
10. Additional options of input-output (TNAVCTRL, request visualization of blocks with
convergence problems)
11. Save results (visualizations, graphs) on selected time steps (RPTMAPD, RPTGRAPHD,…)

2. Open demo-model format E100: file ModelWithHistory/m95.data and run simulation

1. Reports. Save Е100 Binaries (can be saved at any time step)


2. Supported modes UNIFOUT, MULTOUT
3. The list of exported parameters can be created once and then used in other models. Choose
parameters in the list and Export Mnemonics List to file. Then Import Mnemonic List from file
for another model

Save results as RSM file 6

To save RSM for GUI (for any model format (E100/E300/MORE/IMEX/STARS/GEM):


1. Goto Summary file. Choose RSM in the right part
2. Check parameters to save in the list. Save
3. The list of exported parameters can be created once and then used in other models. Choose
parameters in the list and Export Mnemonics List to file. Then Import Mnemonic List from file
for another model
For formats E100/E300: the keywords are also supported SEPARATE and RUNSUM
To save RSM running via console version: command --ecl-rsm

2. Parameters: Oil total, Water Total, Gas total, Liquid total, Inj. Water, Avg. Pressure (the
selection and arrangement of graphs will be offered in the dialogue later)

Copy information from the graphs 12

1. The graphs include the production of regions, groups, wells, connections, changing the
properties of grid cells along an arbitrary profile and along the well bore
2. Nearly all graphs are accompanied by tables on the right. Copy information from graphs to
Excel: Ctrl A (or press left upper corner to select the table), Ctrl C, Ctrl V
3. Also copying to the file is duplicated via the button Export

1. Enter file name (extension .xls to save to Microsoft Excel file)
2. Default: all historical and calculated values for all groups and all wells for all time steps will
be saved
3. Tick off objects that you don’t want to save data

1. Open model SectorLowPerm/m100_fracs.data


2. Go to Grid Properties. Calculated. Pressure

4. Tick Show All Wells
5. We see that the wells have connections at the top and bottom of the reservoir, between the
parts - barrier (inactive blocks)

Well Profile Data
1. Graphs. Well Profile – properties and rates along well bore (for connections)
2. To see the connection rates and other parameters Well Section can be used as well (see
the next slide)
3. Choose well (7 on the picture)
4. Tick properties Oil Total, Water total, Watercut, Bulk pressure
5. Right mouse click on profile graph, select Copy All
6. Copy (Ctrl V) to Excel file

3. Press – Load well graphs
4. Choose file: m100_BHP_well7.txt
5. Loaded graphs are shown and data is duplicated in the table
6. One should load well graphs only one time because data is copied to the folder

2. Right mouse button click by graph name. Graph preferences
3. Line shape – Firm line. Points Only
4. Increase Line width If you need – then graph points will be visible better

Graph of any parameter can be loaded in Graph Templates:
1. Load Graphs. Choose the object type – Group or Well
2. Press the green arrow Add Parameters to load. Choose Average pressure in the list and
press to move it to the right part to Selected parameters
3. File: field_pressure.txt
4. Choose columns – Group Date Average pressure
5. To see the graph select Loaded Results (on the left)

2. Enter in Arithmetic Command Line - moipm. Apply (Map of Mass Mobile Oil in place), at last time
step (on the picture)
3. Right mouse click on the property, choose Save Side Track Well Report

3. Save 3D. Porosity values will be saved at each grid blocks
4. File name is generated automatically
5. File will be saved to the folder with model data-file. Extension .map (can be changed to .inc)

Save space on disc:


Keywords allow to save properties and graphs to the disc at the time steps selected
by user (decrease the size of the .res-files in RESULTS folder).

Possible options to write results:


• At specified dates – RPTMAPD, RPTGRAPHD
• At the specified time periods – RPTMAPT , RPTGRAPHT
• At the first and the last time step only – RPTMAPL, RPTGRAPHL
