This study aims to evaluate the readiness of teaching interns from Pangasinan State University - Bayambang Campus to complete their internship online. It will examine their demographic characteristics, the challenges they face with content, classroom management, and communication online, and what skills they are developing. The study will also assess their performance in pedagogical, content, design, technology, management, and communication skills during their online internship. Finally, it seeks to identify interventions that could enhance interns' readiness for online internships. The scope is limited to fourth year students from the 2021-2022 school year who did their internship online.

Statement of the Problem

This study sought to know how ready the BTLED Teaching Interns of

Pangasinan State University – Bayambang Campus to undergo in an Online

Mode of Internship. In this study, it aims to answer the following sub-problems:

1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1 age;

1.2 sex;

1.3 section;

1.4 monthly income; and

1.5 general point average (GPA)

2. What are the challenges encountered by the BTLED Teaching Interns

during the Online Modality Internship in terms of:

2.1 content and design skills;

2.2 online classroom management skills; and

2.3 communication skills

3. What BTLED Teaching Interns do to prepare for the online mode of

Internship in terms of:

3.1 pedagogical skills;

3.2 content skills;

3.3 design skills;

3.4 technological skills;

3.5 management and institutional skills; and

3.6 social and communication skills


4. What is the level of performance of the BTLED Teaching Interns during

their Online Teaching Modality Internship in terms of:

4.1 pedagogical skills;

4.2 content skills;

4.3 design skills;

4.4 technological skills;

4.5 management and institutional skills; and

4.6 social and communication skills

5. What interventions can be suggested to enhance the readiness of BTLED

Teaching Interns who underwent an Online Mode Internship?

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This study will focus on the readiness of the teaching interns of BTLED

Students of PSU Bayambang to handle a virtual class.

The study also wants to assess how the following skills: (a) pedagogical

skills, (b) content skills, (c) design skills, (d) technological skills, (e) management

and institutional skills, and (f) social and communication, contributed in their

development during their teaching internships.

Correspondingly, the study seeks to find and exhibit how having an

expanded repertoire of teaching strategies will help both teachers and learners

understand the topics better and how it cultivates the learning environment.
Furthermore, the research study will be a vital factor in determining how ready

the teaching interns are to enter the online world of an internship.

The individuals who will partake in this research study will be the Fourth

Year BTLED Students of Pangasinan State University, Bayambang Campus in

the S.Y 2021-2022 who have underwent in an Online Mode of Internship.
