INTRODUCTION

The role of a teacher is to transmit as much knowledge as possible. So, it is better to count
on a planning tool that allows organizing all content that will be teaching the logical way.
In this way, the lesson plan is a descriptive text, which to indicates all we should do in our
classes.
LESSON PLAN

Topic: History of English Literature
Aims of lesson: Studying the literature develops language proficiency and knows to use
the words effectively is a powerful tool. Literature allows you to live experiences, into
cultures and beliefs of others, therefore, this lesson plan will help to explorer the History
of English Literature. Students will know most writers that provided their excellent
works to the English literature between years 731 and 2000.
Warm up: The class begins with a greeting. The topic of the class is announced to the
students. History of English literature. But first, we will play a 20 minutes game. So, we
form a circle in the classroom, and I begin to tell a story. When I name a particular place
in the story, I ask students what objects can be in this place that starts with a certain
letter, so everyone will think about that object. The objective is to refresh the vocabulary
or learn more.
Direct Instruction: After the warm-up, students will watch a video in English,
approximately 15 minutes, with subtitles, about the history of English literature.

Guided Practice: 35 minutes. Students form groups of five (5). Each group will be
given a photocopy with the timeline of a certain time about the History of English
Literature. Members of each group will choose the 5 most representative, and they will
expose it to the other classmates. Thus, each group will expose its timeline.

Closure: 20 minutes. Students will form a circle again, then, each one of them will name
work or writer that remember. The rule is that it cannot be repeated.

Independent Practice: Homework to next class. Through an online activity with the
Educaplay program, students will develop a crossword based on learned in class. Then,
students must take a screenshot and send to me by email it.

Assessment and Follow-Up:
Next class. After reviewing the students' homework. Each student will receive their
exam. The exam consists of five questions with multiple choice about the timeline of the
History of English Literature.
CONLUSION

To transmit as much knowledge as possible is a premise of the teachers, for that reason, the
lesson plan works as a guide for them.
With a good lesson plan, we can present the sequence of contents that be teaching, how to
present the topics, the methods, and the assessment activities.
