A PROPOSAL TO REQUEST FOR FUNDING TO PURCHASE DEVICES FOR STUDENTS


FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES

We are pleased to forward our proposal to request for funding to purchase devices for
Changlun Community College's students that are from low-income families. Due to Covid-19
pandemic, there are changes in teaching and learning where students need to attend their
classes online. With an aim to help students from low-income families that cannot afford to
buy suitable devices to participate in online class. So, with that device it will help them to
study better. This is the first sponsorship programme that was conducted by our College.
With this fund, it will help our college to buy all devices needed by the students.

This programme will be the first event to be held to sponsor students from low-income
families in Changlun Community College since our country was hit by a pandemic Covid-19.
It is scheduled to be distributed in early December 2022 .This programme is to help students
from low income families that are affected by covid-19 and we believe it can help to ease
their learning.

The plan of the proposal is as follow:

1. Low income students details

The details of low income students who will receive the device are as below:

i) Semester 1 : 350 students


- Laptop : 75 units
- Tablet : 200 units
- Smartphone : 75 units
ii) Semester 2 : 270 students
- Laptop : 60 units
- Tablet : 150 units
- Smartphone : 60 units

iii) Semester 3 : 390 students


- Laptop : 70 units
- Tablet : 250 units
- Smartphone : 70 units

2. Type of devices

Below are among the suggested devices to be given:

i) Laptop
- Acer Chromebook 311 C733-C8F7

ii) Tablet
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A8

iii) Smartphone
- Samsung A03

Purchasing devices for students for low income families will surely help to improve their
learning process and also will ease the burden on students during the pandemic covid-19
while at the same time can increase their spirit for learning. Your approval absolutely will
help us to achieve the objective of this sponsorship programme. If you are acceptable to this
