Final Report Template (LU)

This document outlines the required sections and contents for a final report on a chemical engineering project. It includes sections for an executive summary, literature review, process options analysis, mass and energy balance calculations, unit design, hazard and operability study, economic analysis, and conclusions. The executive summary should provide objectives, constraints, findings from modeling, and design results. The report aims to demonstrate thorough process simulation, modeling, optimization, and validation through calculations, as well as economic feasibility and environmental impact analysis.

11. Process simulation, modeling and optimization

- Methodology (choice of fluid package and units, input streams condition and composition,
reactions…)
- Simulation (the process image conducted using Aspen and a detailed process description)
- Process modeling (case studies to show the effects of different parameters on results, excel should
be used)
