ACTIVITY DESIGN
II. RATIONALE:
Teaching robotics to young students throughout their
schooling can increase their ability to be creative and innovative
thinkers and more productive members of society. Many schools
have already recognized the importance of robotics in the
classroom and have begun to create programs and laws that
would incorporate it into their public education system.
Technology has become a vehicle to reaching not only the
top students but also students that might not otherwise be
interested in math and science unless they can see an exciting,
real-life application for the acquired knowledge. In today’s’
technology-driven world, it’s important now more than ever to
prepare students for the future.
The main objective of this webinar is to increase the
number of students who are enthusiasts to robotics technology.
Basic application and programming will be prepared for the
participants using Arduino Uno in manipulating sensors and
motors. The idea of organizing this webinar is to inculcate the
basic fundamentals of Robotics in the students and provide them
with a platform to work on, in the near future.
Laguilayan National High School is very passionate about
changing technologies and they grab it faster than others.
Through this training program students will be able to think
better, learn better and do better. By the end of this workshop the
students will become equipped with enough knowledge to start
with the designing and development of their own projects and
implement their raw ideas into reality.
III. OBJECTIVES:
The student-participants will be able to:
understand logic using flowcharts;
familiarize parts and functions of Arduino Uno Board,
sensors and motors; and
construct simple robotics system project.
