INSTRUCTION
• To be carried out with follow safety instruction in workshop, aircraft and hangar floor.
• Each listed safety instruction item in workshop, aircraft and hangar floor is to be followed Hazard
Identification, Risk Assessment and Mitigation Document, Emergency Respond Plan Document and
Manual Handling Document.
• Each listed inspection item on maintenance is to be performed in accordance with Maintenance Manual
or other applicablepublications.
TOOLS REQUIREMENT
• Instrument tools set
• Avionic special screwdrivers set
• Clean cloth (make sure it dry and clean)
• Electrical Contact cleaner

Practical
1 VISUAL INSPECTION
a) Check the transponder intrument case visually
b) Check the display is shown and it is on good condition
c) Check the transponder tray visually.
d) Check all of switch in transponder instrument, note and
report the conditions.
e) Check all of button on transponder instrument, make sure it
on good conditions.
f) Check the frequency squelch knob
g) Check antenna and wire line from the instrument.
2 DISMANTLING
a) Remove electrical power from the airplane (Ref. 24-36-00,
5 FINAL TEST
A. Do the Post-Installation check :
Inspect external surface for damage.
Check that the unit is securely installed and that
retaining mechanism is securely tightened.
Ensure that all connections in the mounting tray are
properly mounted and secure.
Inspect external surfaces for damage.
Check that antenna is properly mounted and mounting
screws are tight.
Ensure that antenna coaxial cable connectors are
properly mated and secure.
B. Do the final Post- Installation test :
a) Pretest Setup Check Transponder system source power
as follows:
Confirm that aircraft 11-33V dc is operational.
Confirm that the aircraft panel background lighting
power source is operational by adjusting the cockpit
dimmer switch for proper cockpit panel illumination.
