# ACTION RESPONSIBILITY TARGET

DATE
1. NG welcomed all team members and briefly explained the
objective of this meeting. He emphases the importance to get All sector heads -
clients cash proceeds or sales proceeds routed through our and all RMs
accounts, not only to service facilities on time as well as to have
funds collected under their current accounts which will improve
the CASA of the bank and in turn will improve the NIM and the
profitability of the bank.

2. AK said that it is a strategic initiative which was agreed to be

presented to the Board of Directors that the bank will onboard the NG -
cash management customers implementing of minimum 12 and to
canvas over 50 new clients during the year.

He further said that the bank has not yet decided whether it is
planning to fix the bugs of the existing system or to come up with
a new system.

He requested NG to hold meetings on a monthly basis to assess

the progress.

3. NG emphasized the following points.

RMs -
 At present closer to 20 clients have been onboarded and the
target is to canvas 3 potential customers from each RM for the
year.

 The system must be customized to each and every client.

 If the bank tries to onboard these clients at the end of the

year, they might be able to get them activated during 2024 as
it takes several months to complete for certain clients.

 NP to take the team through each and every customer and the
respective RM will give you the feedback. NP

4. NP stated the below facts.

 Sampath bank is one of the last entrants to the market for

transaction banking, cash management or payments and cash
management.

 The main features that are offered under cash management or

transaction banking is the API integrations which is a sizable
volume in terms of collection to the bank. Once the cash
management system is customized it is not easy for the client
to move from the bank therefore, there is a lot of inwards and
outward integrations which is the difficult part of
customization.

 Cash collections are relatively easy as the bank has our three
service providers who are acting as agents of the bank.
The bank only has to link them up and get proper quotations
and loop the clients into the collection of cache and checks.

 Bulk cheque printing and PD check warehousing which is in

high demand. This is in lesser numbers but in high volume.
 CBL Group has outward integrations which are going live from
1st of June. PD cheque warehousing drawbacks as the bank
had put up certain tariffs because the workload of the branch,
but the client wants the tariffs to be reduced. Most other
banks offering these services completely free of charge to give
the attractiveness to the client and get their funds into the
bank. Sampath bank has always made sure that there is a
technical system and a proper finance guided profitability.

 She then briefly explained the changes to made to petty cash

solutions and the importance of the corporate business credit
card.
