(elaborate your answer)

 The main proponent of Rizal was Senator Claro M. Recto. He is one

removal of US bases and the abandonment of special relations with
the United States.
 Senator Jose P. Laurel Sr. who was then the Chairman of the
Committee on Education sponsored the bill in the Senate.
  Both of them were known for their great sense of nationalism. This
nationalism served as the foundation to come up with this republic

on our own—exactly the ideals and values that Rizal strove to fight
for.
Other proponent;
 Mayor Arsenio Lacson, another prominent supporter, while

2. What is the importance of studying the Rizal course?

It is essential to not just study but also appreciate Rizal, his writings, and his contributions,
including his books, which may teach us how life was before our independence. since the
contribution he made to the country is priceless. The teachings of Jose Rizal have great
relevance to the Filipino people, especially the youth, who must rededicate their lives to
the ideals of freedom and nationalism for which our heroes lived and died. It is also
important to pay tribute to him for devoting his life and work to shaping the Filipino
character and gaining an inspiring source of patriotism through his writings. Studying Rizal
may prove us wrong and give us a different view of him as we study and dig into his life.
Aside from this, studying his works may also lead us to a better perception of life. Rizal
also inspires us to be major contributors that can help our land succeed; just like his
objectives and aims, we also need to fight for our freedom, fight for our justice, and fight
for our rights to achieve the triumph of all the people who are regardless and to cultivate
the weapon of writing.

3. Will you benefited or will this course help you in your future career if you study
the life and works of Rizal? (Elaborate your answer).
Explain the adage “The Pen is Mightier than the Sword”. (5points

"The pen is mightier than the sword" signifies that words are notably effective. Words are
more effective than violence or military power. It also means that communication and the
power of the independent press are more effective tools than violence.
Though the pen is smaller in size, it can achieve more than a sword. The capability of
writing is more significant than the power of hatred and war.
Therefore, through this adage, "The pen is mightier than the sword," we understand that
violence cannot change views or beliefs; one has to communicate through their writing to
understand the minds and hearts of the people. While the energy of the sword ends with
failure, sacrifice, and loss, the pen brings motive, impulse, and growth to the soul.
