DEFINE
State CONCISELY the meaning of the word or term
This is usually (2 marks) so, I need you to write MINIMUM.

DESCRIBE

DISCUSS
Give a reasoned argument and EXPLAIN the
essential content of the question.
This is usually (6 marks) "2 ways in which. "

HAPPEN! YOU DO NOT DEFINE FIGHT YOU JUST EXPLAIN!
LIST
Itemize WITHOUT detail.
Preferably point form.
This is ALWAYS (1 mark) each.

IDENTIFY
Name/point out specific features.
This one is TRICKY! but LOOK AT THE MARKS!
If they ask you to identify 4 things and it is 4 marks, then
you LIST (see above)
If they ask you to identify two things for 4 marks, then you write, in
paragraph form (minimum) of 3 lines total and GIVE AN EXAMPLE
STOP DEFINING!

OUTLINE
Give BASIC STEPS only.
Do NOT state, this should be sentence using point form.
It is usually (4 marks), two marks each.
STATE
Concisely give factual information outlining explanation.
Basically, this is a combination of list and explain.
Usually, 2-4 marks
(Minimum) 1 line (Maximum) 2 lines

EXPLAIN
Give REASONS based on recollection.
This is usually (6 marks.) asking for two points.
Minimum (4 lines) each point.
DIFFERENTIATE
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN.
You know how to tell the difference but here's how you structure your answer.
Point Form
Do not give one and finish the sentence with " the other does not?" give the other. ( don't
know it? do not use it)
Use transition words such as: In comparison to/ by comparison/while/on the other hand.
DISTINGUISH
FUN FACT: They are not the same!
This one looks at the uniqueness, but you are still providing the
differences between them.
Most times there are distinct differences.
Identify characteristics.
Again, DO NOT SAY "the other does not"
