Brief description included 1105 – 1135: Chief Officer Ian Lopes discussed the team leaders and team
timings made in Deck Log Book members involved in stowaway search and the zones that they are assigned
to. What to do during a stowaway was discovered. The procedures were
discussed as per VCM. Security search was also tackled and how important
the security is onboard. Gangway Watch and Access control Training was also
discussed. Demonstrated the proper searching methods of bomb, drugs and
stowaways. Familiarization with their individual security duties and knowledge
of restricted areas on board, Security team members in different search area,
SSAS, CSO, ASCSO, SSO, and Inspection of baggage, stores and provision,
location of different security equipment were discussed. Debriefing for all the
drills conducted. Drill Ended.
