Features of best shorties


 Best shorties must have an emotional connection to the reader
 They must be suspense filled
 Vocabulary must de very descriptive using figurative language as well as appeal to senses
 Unpredictable so that it holds the audience attention
 More showing than telling
 Eg of telling : I am hungry
 Eg of showing: The smothered pangs of hunger assaulted his stomach
 A story where the person thinks outside of the box
 Character development
- Ways to developed character is through the usage of action, dialogue ,physical description,
idiosyncices ,special possessions ,thought shots
- Thought shits are where the author allows the reader to know what the character is thinking

According to Cesc English when given a sentence as you stimulus and not a picture you are not allowed
to do anything to the sentence it must be keep the same

-Seamless usage of the stimulus

- must be very descriptive

- ask yourself what the stimulus suggests. For example, if it says finally in the stimulus, it means that
something had been going on for a while and you story must reflect such.

-Don’t change anything about the stimulus

- it wise to include at the beginning of you story description of your feelings in that moment and develop
a setting to reflect such emotions

-The aim of setting is to create motion as well as atmosphere

- Your description of character must serve a purpose

- Do more showing than telling.it is the showing that increases the suspense in your story.

-it is wise to give a description of the voice and clothing our character before actually introducing the
character to the reader

-Colors can be used to evoke an emotion

-You must express a command of the language in your writing
