The graph below shows the number of library books
read by boys and girls at a school from 2009 to 2012.

The line chart illustrates how many library books that boys and girls in Starmouth School
read between 2009 and 2012.

Overall, there was an increase in the the number of library books read over the period
examined. In addition, the beginning boys read more than girls but the late the number of books
girls read more than boys.

From 2009 to 2011, the number of books read of boys were always higher than girls. The
number of library books read by boys started at about 50000 books, after which it saw a slight
increase to 80000 books in the next year, before ending the period at 100000 books. Similiar
changes can be seen in the figure for girls to 2011, which rose dramatically from above 25000 books
and reached equal to the boys 100000 books.

During the time 2011-2012, there was a big change in the number of library books read. The
figure for girls increased sharply and reached a peak of 140000 books. Adversely, the number of
library books read by boys dropped from 100 000 books to 80 000 books in this period shown.
