PROLOGUE.

The morning after Gen. Antonio Luna's Death (at the train station, busy people doing their thing. Soldiers at their post,
Young women conversing)

Inside the train came in a woman and its partner,

A soldier with an attitude walked his way to

General Alejandrino, mistaking the Gen. as Luna

Soldier : “ Heneral Antonio Luna? “ - says in a threatening tone, General Alejandrino— Looking at the mere soldier in
disbelief. The soldier then opened his mouth and said,

Soldier : “ Ikaw ba si Heneral Antonio- ”

Alejandrino cut him off saying,

Gen. Alejandrino : “ Kapitan! (he paused) hindi mo ba nakilala ang nakakataas sayo? ”

Soldier : “ Simpli naman ang tanong.”

Gen. Alejandrino : “ Konteng paggalang ihó. “

Soldier : “ Bigoté, mayabang. ” (looking at him with anger, he judged him by his looks)

Soldier 2, comes up behind him and stops his friend from whatever the other had intentions on doing to Gen.
alejandrino

Soldier 2 : " Lako, hindi yan si Luna. "

dumbfounded was the other, he frantically bowed down and said

“ Pasensya na sa abala Heneral Alejandrino. ”

Soldier : “ Mabuti sigurong... magahit ka, mainit ang panahon ”

the two walked away but not until Gen. Alejandrino said something

Gen. Alejandrino : “ Utoy! huli ka na sa balita, PATAY na si luna. Umiwi kana. ”

(GENERAL ALEJANDRINO, SECRETARY OF WAR.)

It was a rainy day, and General Alejandrino made his way to Apolinario Mabini's Residence.

Gen. Alejandrino : “ Hindi akong naniniwala kusang papatayin ng isang capitan, ang isang heneral na walang nag uutos. ”

Apolinario Mabini : “ Presidente bang tinutukoy mo? —

anong mapapalang ni Miong don? nabawasan na siya na isang magaling na Heneral. ”

Gen. Alejandrino : ” Na mainitin ng ulo, na nanapak, tumutok ng— ”

Mabini cuts him off and he says,

Apolinario Mabini : “ alam ko. ”

Gen. Alejandrino : “ isipin mo nalang. Na wala nang ikabahan ang presidente ngayon na wala na si Luna. ”

Apolinario Mabini : “ iisipin ko nalang na magkaisa tayong lahat. ”

A boy puts down a warm cup of coffee/tea on the table and walks away silently then right after...
Gen. Alejandrino : “ kanina sa tren, muntik na akong magkahamalang na si Antonio. Gusto akong babalirinin na yong
kapitan na nag tatanong. Mukhang nakakalat ang utos nadakpin si Luna, patay o buhay. ”

Apolinario Mabini : “ 'san ng galing yung utos? ”

Gen. Alejandrino: “ 'di ko alam, perong isang heneral daw ang nagpapatupad daw nito. ”

Apolinario Mabini : ” Sino? ”

Gen. Alejandrino : “ Yung Paborito ni miong, yung mayabang. ”

Apolinario : looks down and smiles slightly(or ni chuckle ba siya)“ Ang batang heneral. ”

SCENE 1. . .

Goyo walks into the scene fondling his bag then right after puts it down right next to him.

He then poses infront of the camera, with his hands crossed and his head slightly looking up at the sky.

Miguel Laureano : “ Sa malayo lang po tingin, huwag lang sa langit, Heneral. ”

Miguel Laureano : “ Joven. ”

He calls out his newphews name and Joven then gets the bag under the camera.

Goyo : “ Oh, baka mas maganda kung ito ”

switches into another position where he puts down his sword and slightly leans on it, hand tucked inside his uniform,
while his feet was bent infront of him. He was still remaining this pose as he was looking out to the distance.

Miguel Laureano : “ Pang Mason's yan ah. ”

Goyo says as he was chuckling at Miguel's comment,

“ Napoleon. ”

Miguel Laureano : “ Gawin muna natin yung... mamunahon at tindi. ”

Goyo then frantically puts his sword back onto his waist and returns to the position he did a couple of seconds ago.

Miguel Laureano : “ 'wag lang po kayo gagalaw, saglit pamang po ito. Sa bilang kong tatlo, Isa... Dalawa... Tatlo! ”

The camera then snaps the picture of the ever so graceful, General Gregorio del pilar.

Three girls then called out his name,

“ Goyo~! ”

Goyo starts making his way to the three ladies laughing and snickering to each other, he then halts for the sudden arrival
of his Older brother.

Julian : “ Goyo! mamaya na yan, ang aga-agá. ”

As he said this, he was walking towards his younger brother and he continued on again..

“ May mas malaking sisiw kaming nahuli para sayo. ”

Abruptly moves to the scene where Angelito Bernal, was tied down to a bamboo right behind him. His face was blank
but his pain was crucial.
He had been beaten by many soldiers, WANTING him to admit where were his brothers.

Julian: “ Ano pagtutulungan ba natin to? kanina pato nagmamatigas eh, Nasaan ang mga kapatid mo? ”

He then aggressively slaps a stick right above the boy's head.

Which then made Angelito flinch to the sudden action that Julian did.

Vicente and Goyo then walks into the scene looking at what Julian had been doing to the poor boy.

Angelito looked like he was about to burst into tears with the amount of fear he has gotten from the older men beside
him, but he held it in.

Goyo then signals for Julian (in a nod) and Julian knew what Goyo meant immediately, following the orders of the
General he then signaled for the other soldiers in the scene.

Angelito was fumbling all over, not knowing what to do but then

Vicente butted in.

Vicente : “ Sandali. ” walking right beside the boy as if he had shown pity towards the younger one.

Julian, pissed off as he already was said : “ Wala na tayong panahon. Kawayan lang katapad nyan. ”

Vicente, leans down facing the boy saying.. “ Anghel, hindi mo kailangan gawin to. ”

Julian wanted to stop vicente from talking to Angelito in a much more calming way but the General stopped him,

Goyo: “ hayaan mo nalang si Vicente muna, Kuya. ”

SCENE 2 . . .

Goyo, Julian, Vicente with their soldiers marched their way to Don Mariano's home. Looking for General Antonio Luna's
brothers while also on the search for non other than Manuel Bernal himself, just as Angelito said to him.

Goyo : “ Kaninong tahanan nga uli ito? ”

Vicente : “ Don Mariaño Nable Jose, negotiante ng mga yaté at melero dito sa Dagupan. ”

Julian : “ Pagnalaman kong nag sinungaling sa atin batang yon... ”

Vicente, cutted him off without any thought he continued..

Vicente : “ Balita ko magaganda ang mga anak niya. ”

Goyo looked at him with a sly smirk while Julian looked like he was absolutely disturbed because he got interrupted.

The door then opens and there steps in Cristobal.

Vicente : “ Cristobal! ” acknowledging his presence, Cristobal smiles slightly

Cristobal : ” balang tama, pasok po kayo. ”

Now all of the men were inside the renowned mansion of Don Mariaño, they see two men with tied hands sitting on a
couch.

Cristobal : “ Nasundan ko po sila dito ”

he says as he was showing the others, Luna's brothers

Cristobal : “ mga kapatid ni General Luna. ”

as their boots made small thumping noises on the wooden floor, Goyo then greets the two people and says..

Goyo : “ Joaquin, Jose. ”

One of the brothers, raised their hands. Showing that they were not respected enough that they were tied up with rope,

Goyo then turns to look at Cristobal and he asks..

Goyo : “ Bakit mo naman ginapos? walang hiya. Pakawalan mo! ”

Cristobal then obliges the general's orders and then unties them quietly.

Don Mariaño : “ Ano bang mga kasalanan ng mga bisita ko? ”

Goyo, taking a few steps infront of the older man infront of him and extends his hand once again, he says.

“ Don Mariaño, pasensya na po sa abala. ”

Then starts to introduce himself,

“ Heneral Gregorio Del Pilar po. ”

Joaquin : “ Tingnan mo siya, Hindi bastos. ”

As he said this the two men shaked their hands together( Mariaño and Goyo)

Goyo : “ Kapatid kong si Julian, at ang itinituring kapatid Kong si Vicente ”

As he introduced his two great partners to the man infront of him but then Don Mariaño says something,

Don Mariaño : “ Di na kailangan nyan Heneral. Kilala naman kayo dito sa Dagupan. ”

Goyo : “ Pasensya napo at wag na po sana kayo mapabahala. Utos lamang po ng Presidente. ”

Julian orders Cristobal to bring the two brothers of the deceased Heneral Luna outside right after Cristobal finished
untying them, they both get up and then start shaking hands with Mariaño to bid farewell, now they were following
Cristobal. Leaving Mariano and his three other “guests”

While everybody were busy conversing with one another, there was a small commotion happening outside where
Angelito was being strained down by two soldiers, outside of the house. To show that they had him.

Goyo : “ May iba pa bang bisita kayo dito? ”

Don Mariaño looks at the three then smiles, “ Kayo. Mukhang bisita ko na rin kayo. ”

Goyo : “ Salamat po. May hinahanap po kaming kagkapatid, si Manuel at si Jose Bernal. May nagsabing dito po sila
naninirahan. ”

Don Mariaño : “ Bakit? ano ba ang nagawa ng mga 'yon? ”

Julian joins in the conversation, “ Pananaksil. ”

Don Mariaño, sighs deeply and then says “ Kilala ko ang mga Bernal. Marangal silang mga tao, wala sa ugali nilang
pananaksil ”

Goyo : “ at tiyan po rin ang gusto naming malaman, kaya sana po ay mag tulungan tayo. ”

While the two men were talking, Julian notices Manuel Bernal trying to sneak away from the house and get himself out
of this situation and Julian immediately sets off the alarms saying,
Julian : “ SI MANUEL! ”

everyone then turned to look at him, with confusion and their objective and missions to act fast.

Julian then chases right after him as Manuel jumps off the window, hurting his ankle in the process but that didn't stop
him from running to safety

Angelito notices his brother then screams out his name.

Manuel, now sees him saying his name but not until one of the soldiers on guard started to fight him off while Manuel
was fighting for his life to get to his brother.

Julian screams for his soldiers to get him, and then Vicente appears so suddenly and immediately tackles Manuel to the
ground.

A gunshot was heard after Julian said his name then right after he completely knocks the man out, leaving the man
unconscious while his poor young brother was trying to go to his older brothers aid.

Now the other soldiers were dragging Manuel out of there to while the others were quick to fix their form.

Angel then says in a furious tone, “ Anong gagawin nyo kay kuya? ”

Vicente then replies to what the young boy said

“ Huminahon ka lang para hindi ka mapagalitan ni Julian. ”

Angel : “ Sabi niyo hindi niyo siya sasaktan. Nangako kayo. ”

Vicente: “ Dalhin niyo siya. ” ordering his men out of the scene.

Don Mariaño comes out of the house with a cane in his hand while he says : “ wag niyo siyang sasaktan Heneral. ”

Goyo was about to say something but he was immediately star struck by the sudden appearance of Don Mariano's
Eldest Daughter, coming out of the door alongside her father.

The woman with her beauty that he couldn't even compare to the past women he had met with before, he was in love.
He wanted her there. Right now, and till the end.

Goyo : “ Wag po kayo mag alala Señor. ”

he says so but he couldn't stop looking at this woman who looked as if she was sculpted by an angel.

Vicente : “ hali ka hoy. ”

He says nudging his General infront of him to leave and take care of things later.

Goyo : “ At pasensya na po sa gulo. Hayaan niyo po ako mag pinsala pag balik ko. ”

still couldn't take his eyes of this, Lady.

Julian notices and starts chuckling and laughing to himself and so did Vicente,

Julian made the move to start walking away while the three had smiles on their faces. Snickering amongst themselves
like children.

SCENE 3 . . .

Manuel was locked up, tied into a bundle of ropes, blood trickling all over his body after countless hours of trying to
possess him.
He grunts in pain from the inflicted action that Goyo did to him.

Goyo : “ Mag kaisa na tayo, comondante. "

while he throws a uniform around his shoulder, lightly patting manuel's nape. The General then kneels down on his right
knee and looks at the man who got beaten up to a pulp, he then asks for him to..

Goyo : “ Sumama ka sa hanay namin, bibigyan kita ng magandang posisyon. ”

Manuel, turns to look at him with a questioning look

“ Para saan? ”

Goyo : “ Kalayaan. Hindi ba rin ’yan ang hangad ng Heneral niyo? ”

Manuel : “ Ang Heneral ko na pinatay niyo ng walang awa.

Tandaan mo yan, Goyo.

Dahil sa Presidente mo, magiging alipin tayo ng mga Amerikano. ”

Goyo then signals for Julian to let that boy in, Angelito Bernal. And Julian did as he was told, aggressively waving his
hand to let the boy in.

Vicente : “ Wag mo nang ipasok yan. ”

Julian : “ Pinagbigyan kita noong una, gabayan mo naman ako ngayon. ”

Two soldiers, restraining the young lad in their hands. Showing Manuel that they had him, they had one of the people he
treasured the most. But still he remained calm.

Angelito : “ Kuya patawarin mo ako. ”

Manuel : “ Wag kang umiyak, Angelito. Tandaan mo ang mga sinabi ko sayo ”

The ever so annoying Julian, applauded the poor man trying to make his younger brother stay positive about things that
are right now currently.

Julian then hastily takes off the uniform that Manuel had on his back and says, “ aatapyasin ka namin ng rango mo
Comondante. ”

Goyo : “ huling pagkakataon Manuel, Sumama ka ulit sa labanan sa ngalan ni Presidente Aguinaldo. ”

Manuel : “ gagawin mo nga talaga ang lahat na iniuutos ni Miong sayo noh? Bulag na, Bingi pa. ”

he then spits down where Goyo's shoes were.

Julian : “ ’LANG HIYANG BASTOS. ”

he angrily kicks Manuel's torso, making the man retort back in pain.

Two other men followed right after the person with the highesr rank and continued to beat Manuel Bernal up into a
pulp, unitl he was surrounded with nothing but his own blood.

Angelito, seeing this completely broken and distraught

screaming for them to stop “ TAMA NA!!! ”

Julian says to the boy : “ TUMIGIL. ”

Vicente then prods for goyo to stop, understanding this he says to the two people.
Goyo : “ Tama na. ”

Now the two walked away back to Julians side and now, Goyo knelt down on his right knee again and said.

Goyo : “ Pareho lang tayong tapat sa pinaglalaban natin, Ang pinagkaiba... tapat ka sa isang patay na tao. Ako, tapat sa
Presidente. ”

Manuel coughing up his own blood, the excruciating pain he endured but still remained undyingly loyal to the man he
swore his life to.

Slowly gets up rather abruptly,

Manuel : “ Ang pagkakaiba, (hissing from the pain but he continued) ay IKAW. Tapat sa Idolo mo. ”

he inches closer to goyo,

Manuel : “ at kaming mga pinatay at pumapatay. Tapat kami sa isang prinsipyo. Namatay si Luna ng isang sundalong may
paninindigan.

IKAW, pumapatay lang dahil sa utos.

Hindi ka isang sundalo goyo,

Isa kang.... ASO. ”

and then, he starts to laugh hysterically. As if he was the happiest that he has ever been.

Snickering, chuckling, wheezing.

Goyo stood up and said, “ Magsama kayo ni Luna. ”

Manuel : “ Tahol goyo. TAHOL! HAHAHAHAHHA. ”

Now Goyo is facing Vicente saying “ wala na siyang silbi. ”

Vicente : “ alam na namin kung saan si Jose. Paano ang bata? ”

Goyo : “ pakawalan niyo na. ”

he now starts to step out of that damned of a place, leaving the others behind.

Manuel? well he's still having the absolute time of his life laughing more than ever.

Manuel : “ HAHAHAHHA TAHOL GOYO!!! ”

he then imitates the sound of a dog.

Now goyo was fledding away from the tragic scene, he stopped for a minute when he heard the sound of a Gunshot and
with the breaking voice of a man's brother,

Angelito : “ KUYA!!! ”

SCENE 4 . . .

Now Julian and Goyo were back at Don Mariaño's Mansion. Having dinner with the family and there, it was lively. Not
much like what happened earlier if you know what I mean

There sitted Don Mariaño at the center of the long table, the two brothers were at Mariano's left side while they were
facing the three sisters with one younger brother, eating and chatting away.
Don Mariano : “ Ang mga anak ko; si Feliciano, Rocio, si Dolores, at si Remedios. ”

he introduced his children while pointing his hand at each one of them, he seemed proud of how his daughters and his..
son were.

Goyo : “ pasensya na po sa bigla naming pagdalo. ”

Don Mariano : “ palagi naman bukas ang aming tahanan sa paboritong Heneral ng aming Presidente. ”

Goyo looks at the ravishing, lady infront of him. Remedios, was her name? Beautiful.

Only problem is, the lady doesn't want to look at him. She had been looking down ever since the two brothers came
inside the doorstep.

Don Mariano : “ hm, Kain na! Kain! ”

he says so, telling the people who're younger than him to dig right in!

Utensils were cluttering as everyone were eating to their full.

Don Mariano : “ Kamusta na ang mga kapatid ni Antonio Luna at si Manuel Bernal ? ”

Goyo : “ Malaya na po ang mga kapatid ni Luna. ”

Don Mariano : “ at si Manuel? ”

Julian : “ Malayang malaya na ”

Don Mariano : “ Mabuti naman! marangal na mga tao ang mga yon. ”

Silently eating the food served for them away, Don Mariaño was quick to liven up the mood!

Don Mariano : “ Oh Heneral, humingi ka nang dispensa sa mga dalaga ko dito. Nasindak muka mo sila sa kaguluhan na
nangyari kaninang umaga. ”

Remedios, correcting her father politely saying..

“ tay, baka isipan ng Heneral na madaling masindak ang mga babe sa tahanang ito. ”

she said looking at her father but never at the general.

Julian chuckles to himself and Goyo goes to compliment this woman infront of him,

Goyo : “ humahanga ako sa mga matatapang na babae. ”

Remedios : “ hindi niyo na kailangan ng dispensé, Heneral. ”

The man knew he was in love more than so with this lady, looking at her as if he's seen a treasure worth absolute
everything.

Dolores and Rocio were laughing amongst themselves, fangirling with this handsome general's words, but Remedios
lightly nudged her younger sisters arm, indulging her to stop.

Julian shots an eye at Dolores but guess what! Dolores rolls her eyes at him and then immediately goes and fawn over
Goyo than the rat.

Julian's smiles wears off and looks at his brother and sighs.

Goyo : “ humihingi parin ako ng tawad sa nangyari kanina. ”

Remedios then glanced at him but immediately looks down and continued eating, goyo— smug as he was he said.
Goyo : “ yon! Nasilayan ko na rin ang mga mata ng anak ninyo. ”

Don Mariano : “ Bakit? Ano ba ang hinahanap mo sa mga mata niya? ”

That question hung in the air, as silence trailed off after.

Now Mariano broke his fit and starts laughing,

“ nagbibigo lamang ako Heneral! ”

Julian : “ Dapat ang sabihin mo...

Wala kanang hahanapin pa sa mga mata niya! ”

SCENE 5

PART 1

JULY 1899.

The town was lively! full of young children running amongst the alleyways and as the townspeople were busy doing their
daily work or chores, perhaps.

The people were busy buying goods from stalls or stands whatever you may like to call it, the town was hustling and
bustling!! as I may say.

A play was about to be presented during the parade! a whole celebration for Gregorio Del Pilar for being appointed as
Major—General for the whole city of Pangasinan

Every single person came to see the great general of their city, and probably many came to admire his beauty.

Joven, Julian and Vicente were sitting on a bench, the trio were talking about how the whole parade was for goyo and
this and that!!

Joven : “ sino po ba ang patron ng fiesta na ito? ”

Vicente : “ Wala, ang lahat nang ito ay para kay goyong. ”

Julian : “ pagpupugay lamang ito sa kagitingan ng kapatid ko at dahil comondante-heneral na siya ng buong lalawigan,
pero ito ang pinakamasayang parte ng fiesta. ”

He says looking at the three young ladies coming into the scene, gossiping and chatting amongst themselves.

Julian : “ akin yung may bilog sa pisngi ” he says, as if he owns that woman now

Vicente : “ masguguspinya yung kasama niya! ”

the two sat back down on their bench,

Julian : “ kung gusto mo Joven, sayo na yan. Halik ka. ”

Joven : “ Nasa gyera po tayo colonel. ”

Julian : “ Itong mga dilag na nasa harap natin ay ang totoong gyera ng mga araw nato. ”

Vicente nudges Joven to go and make a move in those girls Infront of them, even though he didn't want to. He was
forced to.

Joven : “ mga walang galang na binibini. Tagasaan po kayo? ”

One of the girls responds in a fake cough, ignoring the man right beside them but the girl on the right responded,

Girly 1 : “ edi syempre taga diyan. ”

Joven : “ Ah, hinihintay nyo ba ang Heneral? "

Girl 1 : “ Sana hindi naman umulan. ”

Julian and Vicente signal for him to continue the conversation as if they weren't laughing earlier at him

Joven : “ Kilala ko ang Heneral Goyo. ”

Now when he said that, he caught the girls attention immediately! turning their heads right to him asking him questions

Girl 1 : “ mag kaibigan kayo? ”

Joven : “ photographer po ako ng Heneral Goyo. Ako nga pala si Joven ”

he extended his hand to the lady, wanting to get a shake in return

Girl 1 : “ Nako! mamaya kukunan mo kami ng letrata ha!!! ”

Random man : “ NANDIYAN NG HENERAL!!!! NANDIYAN NA ANG HENERAL!!! ”

Three girls : “ andiyan na siya!!!! ”

as they ran along, hoping to see the oh so great general.

PART 2 . . .

Goyo comes into the scene, with his horse.

Performing a dance with his companion to the townspeople, showing that HE was here.

The people uproared in screaming his name and applause were heard as he did his silly little dance

Girl 2 : “ Ang gwapo talaga ni ano oh! ”

Girl 1 : “ Mamaya sa palabas, kailangan makatabi ko siya! Maggawa tayon ng paraan ah ”

Girl 3 : “ Nako! mag ingat tayo sa lalaking iyan ”

Girl 2 : “ Bakit naman? ”

Girl 3 : “ Taga bayan dinadaanan niya may babaeng iiwan siya na luhaan ah! ”

Girl 2 : “ totoo? ”

Girl 3 : “ Sabihan na nga eh wag kayong mag papagoyo!! ”

But then goyo comes in and winks at the three group of girls,

in doing this the lady fell dramatically but not until her friends caught her back

Girl 3 : “ nahihilo ako! ”

Immediately her two other friends came to her aid and getting her a seat so she wouldn't feel anymore nauseous.

Remedios also came to watch the horse dance the man was doing, I believe she was forced to since her father attended
the event.
Now the general has finished his horse riding dance, he came to see the play, the play interpreting his life before he
became who he was now. Alongside him was Joven, Julian and Vicente right behind him. Looking for their seat and as
they were doing so goyo greeted some towns folk on his way.

Someone : “ Heneral! Ang aking asawa. ”

Goyo : “ Señora. ” he says as he takes the hand of the lady and kisses it ever so gently.

Don Mariano : “ Dito ka sa Centro anak! ”

he says pointing to the sit where Remedios should sit down, and coincidentally she was sitted right next to the general.

Don Mariano : “ Heneral! ”

Goyo : “ Don Mariano. ”

The three ladies were still gushing over Goyo even from a far away bench they still gushed and fawned over him.

Girl 2 : “ Nako! Wala na tayong pag asa ”

Girl 1 : “ Ang tanong, eh, may pag asa ba siya kay Remedios! ”

Girl 3 : “ shh. ”

PART 3

Drums were being played, everyone was screaming and shouting for the players!!!

Then the play came in and a bunch of people were dancing, marching as did in their choreo, the town folk were amazed
and joyous!

The people on the play simultaneously said,

“ Sa dakong silangan, may bayaning isinilang.

Sa bayan ng Bulacan, ugad ng matatapang!

Ang clano ng mga bayani,

Del Pilar!

Del Pilar!

Del Pilar! ng aligid.

Sa murang gulang, nagpakatangi-tangi! ”

Now the popel ran back to the back stage leaving Goyo's actor on the stage alongside the actor of Marcelo Del Pilar.

Goyo's actor :

“ Bata pa, ay tinuturuang tumapang.

Labanan ng pa alipin ng kastilang mayabang! ”

Girl 3 : “ baka siya nalang ah ”

she says giggling, wanting the man who acts as Gregorio Del Pilar.

Goyo's actor :
“ Tinuruan ng Tiyong Marcelo kong magitig.

Sa bunganga ng pading, nagpakita ng bangil ”

Now each actor ran to the back stage, then the other scene comes in next.

The drum hit atleast 5 times until the next actors and background characters come flooding in.

The young actor of goyo :

“ Dasalan at tuksuan ng tiyo kong sumulat

Ako ang naglatag, ang dasal ay kumalat.

While the drum slammed 5 times once again, the friar slipped and fell with the faithful people coming to his aid.

Remedios said to goyo,

“ pinahatid mo talaga yan sa simbahan? ”

The acting people in a sing tone voice :

“ Ma Santa maria, napupunuan ka ng alkansya!

Ang prayley sila sa inyo.

Santa maria!

Nanalangin po kami

Wag anitan ngayon

at huwag kami ipapatay ”

The people who were watching responded,

“ Amen! ”

Julian and Goyo's actor come into the scene, saying :

“ Kung paslit pa ay giting na pinamalas. ” - Goyo

“ Nang binatay lalo pang gumilas! ” - Julian

Group of acting soldiers :

“ Ang kakarong de sili, Ang kastilang lumipas! ”

Goyo's actor :

“ Ginarapong tapang, sampu silang mga kawal! ”

Julian's actor :

“ MGA KASAMA DITO! SUGOD!!! ”

The acting group of soldiers :

“ SUGOD!!!! ”

now the fight began with the Spaniards, swords and machetes clashing. Gun shots echoing, the intense background
music was played.

Sending Goyo into a spiral.

PART 4. . .

As the young general was lost in his thoughts, he wasn't paying attention to the play no longer.

Breathing heavily, cold sweat altered his body.

“ VIVA HENERAL DEL PILAR! ”

” VIVA! ”

The sounds of the people's chanting were muffled, in a daze he was. He blocked out everything around him until

Vicente noticed a man, a suspicious looking one and as he did he diverted Julian's attention to the old man.

They stood up from their seats and walked away, on a search for the elder one.

The girls who were hooked on Goyo's looks found the opportunity and took the seats Julian and Vicente once sat upon

Goyo : “Paboritong awitin ko ito. ”

Remedios notices the three looking mischievously at goyo, and the man did not notice a thing as this was going on.

Remedios : “ Heneral, manghamangha ako— ”

Goyo : “ Maraming Salamat ”

Remedios : “ Na lahat ng mga dalaga dito sa Dagupan ay na huhumaling sa iyo. ”

Goyo then turns to look at three young women but to his dismay when he looks back, expecting to see Remedios— She
was out of sight, gone.

Goyo : “ Mukhang mahabang habulan nga uli ito. ”

he says to Don Mariano, as the older man chuckled at the General's comment. The play was coming to an end.

while the play came to an end, the actors raised a black, red and blue cloth to show our Philippine flag.
(the singing stops after they raise the cloth)

The town folk applauded, as they enjoyed the play.

They also payed their greetings the general as well, as they did— they were saying,

“ VIVA HENERAL DEL PILAR! ”

“ VIVA!!! ”

Manuel: Maaga pa ako bukas. Magkikita pa kami ni Heneral Mascardo.

Soldier: Hayaan mo na ang kapatid ko. Paborito ka naman non.

Person: NAKAPASOK ANG MGA AMERIKANO SA BAYAN!

Soldier: Oh! Edi salubungin natin! Nasaan ang banda!

Halto!

Tigil sabi! *gunshot – soldier

(Soldier gets shot in the head as his wife screams in horror)

CHAOS EMERGES AND EVERYONE FLEES

SCENE 8 (CLIMAX)
Apolinario (narrated backstage as war continues): Dahil madalas, ang sigasig natin ay sumisilakbo, pero mabilis ding
maglalaho.

(WAR)

Sa bawat bago’t di inaasahang pangyayari, tayo’y natataranta t tuluyang malilimutan ang mga tungkulin natin. Mas
unang pipiliin ang ginhawa kay sa sariling dignidad. Ito namamarahil at tanda sa ating asal bata.

Townspeople are fleeing, afraid of what may happen to them and their beloved families.

Julian: Ito na Goyong. Nagsisimula na.

Goyo looks up, and sees Remedios and then walks away

Remedios: Dolores? May lalagyan kaba?

Dolores: Wala.

Remedios: Panyo mo nalang.

Vicente: Mauna na ako sa loob. (backstage)

Goyo: Pupunta ka talaga sa Bulacan?

Julian: Kailangan Goyong.

They proceed to hug each other.

Julian: Tandaan mo kung sino ka.

Maraming Salamat Joven. Ingat ka.

Joven: Kayo din.

Dolores rushes to Goyo to give him the letter.

Dolores: Heneral Goyo, galing po kay ate.

Narrator:

Pagkatapos nito, nilakbay ni Goyo at ng kanyang mga kasama ang isang bundok. Dito nila nais matalo ang mga
Amerikano.

Goyo: MABUHAY ANG REPUBLIKA!

Soldiers: MABUHAY! MABUHAY!

Narrator:

Pero sa laking gulat nila. Naisahan nanaman sila ng mga Amerikano.

(WAR DANCE)

The Americans proceed to kill more than a hundreds Filipino soldiers.

SCENE 9:

Narrator:

Mabilis na ang mga sumunod na pangyayari. Kaunti nalang ang natitirang mga sundalo. Kaya, bumaba si Goyo upang
makita ni Goyo ang sitwasyon. Ngunit, dito maganap ang ikinatatakutan ng lahat.

Goyo is so focused on his thoughts that he did not hear one of his soldiers frantically calling him. He was reminiscing
about his life. He finally snapped out of it and went back to his horse and his men, then, he was shot dead.

American soldiers quickly surrounded Goyo’s corpse, as the remaining Filipino soldiers flee.

Apolinario (Backstage):

Paulit-ulit kong ipinahiwatig kay Ginoong Aguinaldo, na ang tangi niyang kaligtasan ay ang marangal na kabatayan sa
digmaan. Ang kabayanihang yon ay ang magbabalik ng kanyang dakilang reputasyon. *Whilst this is narrated, a soldier
will go to Felicidad Aguinaldo to deliver the heartbreaking news of Goyo’s death.

Felicidad: Nasan ang labhi niya?

*Vicente points

Felicidad approaches it and kneels down, weeping.

Narrator:

Habang umiiyak si Felicidad, kinuha ng Amerikanong general ang isang papel at inutos ang isa sa kaniyang mga sundalo
na tanongin si Vicente kung siya ba ang nobya ng Heneral. Sinabihan ni Vicente na nakatira siya sa Dagupan. Kaya,
ibinalik ng Amerikanong general ang sulat sa kanyang bulsa.

Apolinario: Nabigo ang rebolusyon dahil mali ang pamumuno dito. Sa halip na support ani Ginoong Aguinaldo at sa mga
taong tunay na naglilinkod sa bayan, ginagampa sila ng pakinabang.

SCENE 11 (BONUS AAAAAAAAAAAAAA)

(Remedios reading Goyo’s letter)

Mahal kong Remedios,

Nagbabalik ako sa'yo bilang marapat na diwa, bilang lalaking pinili ang pinakamahahalagang bagay sa madilim na
panahon: dangal, tungkulin, sakripisyo.

Hindi mawawalan ng halaga ang kamatayan ko pagka’t namatay akong nagbibigay-puri sa bayan, at higit sa lahat,
sa iyo.

Kailanman ay hindi ako magiging isang bayaning nasa ibabaw ng mga ulap, malayo at hindi maabot, habang ako'y
kinukupkop mo sa iyong puso. At sa puso mo'y mananatili akong buhay at karapat-dapat sa iyong pag-ibig.
