Cupix Capture Process

Install Capture App

1. In the App Store, search for, "cupix capture".

2. Tap on "Cupix Capture App".

3. Tap on the "cloud & down arrow" icon to download and install the app.

4. When the Capture App opens, make sure to choose from the following options:
- Allow "Cupix Capture" to use your location? - Choose Allow While Using App. This is necessary to obtain
the proper geographic location.
- Allow "Cupix Capture" to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites? - Choose based
on your privacy requirements.
- "Cupix Capture" Would like to send you notifications - Choose based on your needs.

5. Enter your team URL: uoocr-leighs

6. Region should be AU (Australia).

7. Enter your email and password. Tap Next once entered.


8. Go through the tutorial as follows:
Read the quick explanation of what a capture is & tap Next.

9. Choose a Workspace:
- Tap on Workspace on the left.
- Tap on the Workspace.
- Once you see a checkmark next to it, tap on Close.
- Once you see your Workspace on the right side, tap Next.

10. Download project files:


- Tap on the project you will be working on. A checkmark will appear on the left next to it.
- Tap on the Download button. Once the project files are downloaded, tap on Next.

11. Set the unit of measure to m (meter) Once selected, tap on Next.

12. Add 360° Camera.


a. Turn On the 360 Camera.
b. On your mobile device, access Settings > Wi-Fi.
c. Select the Insta360 ONE X2 WiFi SSID, ONE RS 8F4J9A.OSC
d. Enter the password. The default password is '88888888' (eight 8's).
e. Confirm that the camera WiFi network is connected.

13. Going back to phone app, tap on the Register 360° Camera button.

14. For the message, "Cupix Capture would like to find and connect to devices on your local network", please tap
on Allow.

15. If you see the message, "Failed to find WiFi connected 360° camera", tap on Open iPhone Settings to either
add or locate the camera in the WiFi listing. Select the camera, then tap on < Cupix Capture in the upper left
corner.

16. Tap on Add on the right.

17. Once the camera is listed, tap on Done.

18. Swipe the screen down and tap on Finish.

19. You are now on the Capture screen.

Start Capture

1. Setup the stick including 360 cam at 1.8m. Starting from the BOTTOM of the stick, extend it until you see
mark line (right after the 5th division of the stick). Align that mark line to the top of the 5th division of the
stick.

2. On the app, tap Reference Plan, select A2212970-CTRL01-Rev A.png. Select Done once finish. selecting the
reference plan. Make sure the level is set to 600 – Control Point – Survey. Start New Capture

5. Choose Video for 3D Map (records up to 20 minutes).


6. Zoom the cursor to the starting position.

7. Physically move to this area:


8. Look for this marker to setup the stick and 360 cam at 1.8m height.

9. Place the stick with 360 cam on the marker then tap Mark and Start Recording. Wait for about 10 seconds
on the marker then you can now walk the site. You can now adjust the stick to desired height to reach out
the spots that is difficult to reach normally. Recording is up to 20 minutes. It’s good practice to start and end
at the same spot. Before 20 minutes end, make sure you are at the start/end spot already.

10. Once finished, swipe the slider from left to right to stop recording.
11. Zoom in to same spot as starting position then tap Mark Final Position. You will have an option to Capture
Another Area, Save and Quit, Discard and Quit. If you select Capture Another Area, select where you start
either From Previous End Position or New Start Position. Then go back to step 9.

Uploading Files

1. Once scanning done, connect to WiFi (not the camera wifi), then from the app select Upload to upload
capture data using Capture App.
2. Once finished uploading, to upload 360° photos and videos, install Cupix Connect
(https://www.cupix.com/downloads) to your laptop or desktop.

3. After installing the Cupix Connect App, turn on the 360° cam, then plug in usb c cable to it then connect to
laptop or desktop where the app is installed.

4. Run Cupix Connect App.

5. Click on Upload 360° Files. For the method choose 360° Camera. The screen will show the process of
confirming the Capture Data with photos or videos on the camera.

6. Once the processing is done, a list of all photos or videos ready for uploading will be listed. Click on the
Upload button. The screen will show the process of uploading the photos or videos to the CupixWorks web
server.

7. Once all the photos or videos are uploaded, a message will appear confirming the upload as completed. Click
on the Ok button to finish.
