nail in copper sulphate solution.
 Students will be explained the concept
of formation of yellow precipitate on
adding KI to Pb(NO3)2.

students will be asked to identify the
coefficients of x and y and will be able to relate
them with the roots of polynomial to determine
the stoichiometric coefficients in chemical
reactions.

Introductory activity: Students discussed
following characteristics using various real
life examples: Chemistry lab activity
 Using prior knowledge: Taste of
different eatable items like pickle,
tomato, sweet, curd etc. and also enquire
that can we differentiate between all
items?
 Based on the above enquiry, students
discussed alternative methods to
differentiate between acids and bases.
 Students discussed the change in color
of litmus paper in acidic and basic
solutions.

effect of substances on blue and red litmus.
