I. Intended Learning Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:


1. define what are the basic skills of volleyball;
2. enumerate the basic skills of volleyball,
3. execute the basic skills of volleyball.

A. Topic: Basic Skills of Volleyball

III. Teaching and Learning Method

A. Preparatory Activities:

1. Review

Yesterday we have discussed the topic about “history of volleyball”.


 Who can recall what is volleyball?
 Who invented the game volleyball?
 How many players are there while playing the game volleyball?

2. Motivation

The teacher will provide a dice, each side of a die is a picture showing the basic skills
of volleyball. The teacher will select a student and the student will act what basic skills in
volleyball is being shown after tossing it, then she/he classmate will guess and the teacher
will ask some question.

B. Development of the Lesson:

1. Presentation

For today’s lesson, we are going to learn “`Basic Skills of Volleyball.”

2. Discussion
a. Prior Learning

Basic Skills of Volleyball can be developed through training and practice to reach
the highest levels of volleyball, the players have to work hard to develop each of these
skills. Knowing the basic skills can prevent injuries in volleyball.

2. Application
The student will divide the class into two groups. The students will create a
dance which they will apply the basic skills of volleyball. They will be given 5
minutes to practice and finish the activities and 2 minutes to perform in front of
the class.
