LESSON PLANS

CLASS: FLYERS (3-5-7: 17h30-19h30)

TUESDAY Unit 2: Our changing planet

1. Review: Present tense


-Divide class in to 2 teams.
-Teache shows the question on the screen, each team rings the bell to answer.
-In the end, which team has more correct answers, they win.

2. Reading and vocabulary: geopraphical features


-Speaking: ask and answer task 1
-Let students read the text first, then teacher write new words and meaning on the
board.
-Then let students read again and choose the best heading (task 2)
-Do task 4

3. Grammar: present continuous (words don’t use in P.C)


*Stative wods: believe, hope, like, know, own, think, understand.

-Do the task 3,4,


-Play game: Teacher prepares incorrect sentences on a paper, then each students
take turn to find the wrong words in that sentence.
-Which student can find more words, they get a wonder point.

THURSDAY

1. Check vocabs.
2. Reading:
-Ask students to read the information and help them with any new words
-Read the text twice then decide these sentences are right or wrong.

3. Put students into small groups to brainstorm articles of animals. Give them a time
limit.
- Compare answers. The group with the most items wins. Make sure students
understand the vocabulary items that appear in the listening exercise.

4. Speaking:
a) Answer the questions about exercise 3 (5 questions):
-Each student answers one by one. Monitor and help as neccessary.
b) Talking point:
-Check understanding of the questions with the class. Then give students 3-4
minutes to note down some ideas about each question invidually.
-Ask the first question and ecourage different students offer their ides and always
give the reasons.
-Repeat the process.
1. What are your favoutire animals?
2. Why do you like them?
3. How often do you go to the zoo?
4. Do you like them

* Homework: Record a video about animals.

SATURDAY

1. Check vocab:
-Teacher write the words in Vietnamese, student change into English
-Teacher checks one by one.

2. Listening:
-Give students 2 mins to look at the task.
-Play the recording twice. Stop after each item to check answers.

3. Speaking:
-Students look at 2 different pictures on their book. Practice in pair. One student
asks and another answers.

4. Writing:
a) -Complete the sentences with come prepositions: between, around, about and
including
-Teacher explains these words and check uderstanding with the class.
b) Writing:
-Devide class into 4 teams. Teacher write 4 kind of animals on pieces of paper.
Then they pick up randomly.
-Each team have to write about 1 animal
