① wa Topic marker (explanation) ex. Kore wa tekisuto desu.


② ga Subject marker
(1) Unknown subject Dare ga kimashita ka.
(2) Sono kotae Suzuki-san ga kimashita.
(2) New information A! Basu ga kimashita!
(3) Description: “... ni ... ga arimasu./imasu.”
Tokyo ni MLC ga arimasu.
③ o Object marker Wain o nomimasu.
④ ni  (1) “to” (goal) Shinjuku ni ikimasu.
 (2) Location in/at which something exists, stays
Toire wa 1-kai ni arimasu.

 (3) Specific time Nichiyobi ni kabuki o mimasu.

⑤ de (1) “by means of”, using Takush i de kaerimashita.
(2) Location in / at which the action occurs or is done.
Resutoran de hirugohan o tabemashita.

⑥ e “to”, “towards” (direction) Shu matsu ni Kyoto e ikimasu.
⑦ kara (1) From (beginning point in time or place, origin)
Uchi kara eki made 5-fun desu.
(2) Reason no marker Ashita wa yasumi desu kara, uchi ni imasu.
⑧ made Until (up to and including) 6-ji made shigoto o shimasu.
⑨ no (1) Possessive marker Kore wa watashi no hon desu.
(2) Belonging Kore wa Nihon no kuruma desu.
