GOOGLE CLASSROOM Reflections

Google Classroom is a free online platform that allows teachers to create classes, distribute assignments, and provide students with feedback. Within classes, students and teachers can communicate about assignments through conversations. While the platform makes teaching more efficient and encourages learning, some students without internet access or who prefer non-digital learning may not benefit fully from its use.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Google classroom is a free service for educational institutions, including schools and universities.
Classroom allows educators to enroll students in a digital class, which is a page for students to access
their assignments, including instructions, due dates, and other helpful tools. For instance, teachers
may attach Google Docs documents, Google Slides presentations, and other assorted files. Then,
students can submit their assignments using their Google account.

Within the Google Classroom, students and teachers can have conversations about the assignments
and task. It makes the work of the teacher easier as well as it encourages the student to learn. By
using Google classroom we can have effective teaching and learning. After learning about how to
create Google classroom I came to know that by using Google classroom in the school, it can be
beneficial to the teacher, where they can create a forum and upload the information that they are
going to teach. It can also save the precious time of a teacher where they don’t have to use paper and
pen and obviously the chalk.

A teacher can also check whether each individual is participating or not and can give immediate
feedback. I find many advantages in using Google Classroom. As there is a saying every advantage
has its disadvantages, I found some disadvantages in using Google Classroom. We know that
different student has a different learning style so a student who does not like to use technology may
not participate at all and some school may not have internet access, in this case, Google classroom
cannot be used effectively.

ZOOM APPLICATION
Zoom is a communications platform that allows users to connect with video, audio,
phone, and chat. Using Zoom requires an internet connection and a supported device. Most
new users will want to start by creating an account and downloading the Zoom Client for
Meetings
Learning to use a web conferencing tool is an essential skill for today’s instructor. It will allow
you to teach during an emergency, as well teach while at a conference, hold online office hours,
and invite outside guests to speak to your students.

Benefits of Zoom
1. The ability to connect synchronously with your students over video (if bandwidth
allows), audio, screen sharing, poll, and text chat.
2. The ability for students to work in groups, either when you enable breakout rooms
for them, or when they use their personal meeting rooms to meet with peers.
3. The ability to create a simple “screencast” (for example, recording voice-over
presentations) and share it with your students.
4. The ability to use written annotations on a whiteboard or directly onto documents
on your screen when sharing. Using a tablet [with a stylus or writing implement] to
annotate will allow for advanced annotation, such as writing out mathematical
formulas.
