1.

Describe your favourite famous person

1. Would you like to be a famous person?

Well, though I’ve never thought about it, I’m pretty sure that rising to stardom would never be one of my life
goals. I appreciate all the efforts that the celebrities, no matter which field they’re working on, are making every
single day. However, I find myself not belong to that world, I mean, you never know what’s going on when the
curtains close, right? So yeah, I don’t think I want to become a public figure, to be honest.

2. What are the hardships of a celebrity?

With me, becoming a celebrity is a two-edged sword. And the difficulty is you need to have characteristics like
lucky, hard-working, devoted to some passion, looking for publicity, charming, powerful and intelligent.

3. What should celebrities do to protect their privacy?

I know that some might say famous people have to accept the fact that they are in the public eye, so
everything they do will attract media coverage/ attention, and so will their personal life. But I believe that they
are just like us, they have their rights to, let’s say, choose their life partneror private moments with their own
family, and they could make the mistakes as we do, so I think the press should not intrude on their privacy,
or create fake scandals for celebrities.
Limit the personal information you share on social media
Dress up as someone else to avoid paparazzi
Go to fancy, expensive restaurants to avoid people

4. Do you think famous people ever have a negative influence on ordinary people?
Yes, I think famous people have a negative influence on ordinary people if they do some inappropriate things,
do something illegal, engage in illicit activities, set a bad example, abuse drugs and alcohol or have risk-taking
behaviours.

2. Describe a time when you felt proud of a family member (43)

3. Describe a time when you gave some helpful advice to someone

1. What kind of advice do parents give to their children?
There are several types of advice that parents never fail to give to their beloved children.
First is about education, more often than not, parents remind children about the importance of education. They
instill in their children's mind that they have to finish their studies as it gives them a brighter future.
Second is about romantic relationships, parents are protective without a doubt but overprotective to their
daughters, they always tell their children to choose the right person when they start having a relationship as they
do not want their children to end up being devastated hearted.
Another piece of advice that is given by parents to their children is, to be a good example to their future children.
When they are better role models, their children will grow being morally good.
With all of these pieces of advice, children must realize that their parents want nothing but the best them, so they
should treat every piece of advice as a life lesson.

2. How do experts give advice to others? (e.g a doctor gives advice to patients)
Well, I am not so certain about what experts mean here, however, I assume it refers to professionals like doctors
or lawyers. I believe doctors cannot easily give advice to someone who is suffering from illness without
undergoing a medical examination. They cannot advise by just listening to the person's complaint about his
health. Doctors can only give some medical advice once they know the health condition of the person. It is the
same way as lawyers, they need to examine the case or the situation in the first place and spend time studying
it and later on give their legal advice to the person who seeks it. I believe this is how experts, especially doctors
and lawyers, provide advice to people and every piece of advice is supported with medical and legal evidence
or theories.

3. What advice do parents give to teenagers about making friends?

Have sth in common/ like a house on fire (listening and being understanding, trusting and keeping confidences,
supporting and being respectful)
Make them feel relaxed and able to be themselves
Tell them the truth and listen without judgement
Won’t pressure them, blame them or make them feel anxious.

4. Whose advice is more helpful? Parents’ or friends’?

good advice can come from anyone regardless of their age/position.
Off the top of my mind, I think it is better to take your friends’ advice on romantic relationships, especially in
my country. Romance in Vietnam in this day and age is vastly different from what it used to be. Dating apps and
romantic activities in the virtual world have become mainstream in my generation. Our parents may not
understand these fully enough to give applicable advice so I think a friend can be your trusted guide or just
simply a person who can sympathize with your situation.
Take “career” for example, if a person chooses to pursue a traditional career path, it is better for that person to
ask for advice from a person who has decades of experience in that area.

5. Why do so many young people not accept the advice of older people?
Rejection of advice, in my point of view, is caused by pride. By and large, young people are full of pride.
We’re passionate and we want to prove our value to the world but we also want to take all the credit. As I grow
older, I realize that this mindset can result in serious mistakes. Even though the advice from older people can
seem to be outdated, it is a source of wisdom and lessons. We can learn from the errors of the older
generation in order to avoid repeating them.

50. Describe a time when you had to do something difficult, and you succeeded (><32, 41)
2. How important is being confident in work?

Self-confidence is important in the workplace. It allows you to take risks, while also evaluating areas of
improvement, both things that help you develop as an employee. Without self-confidence, some employees
may fear speaking up to share their ideas or they may feel uncomfortable while presenting. Self-confidence
is also what allows you to discuss concerns with your supervisor or provide feedback.

Self-confidence can affect your beliefs on how well you can complete tasks that meet performance
expectations. Ultimately, this can affect how you perceive your value with the company. Those with high
self-confidence tend to have more working relationships, are better able to cope with challenges and tend to
be more satisfied.

Self-confidence also allows teams to be creative, which leads to innovative and collaborative environments.
Team members who can share their true personalities and express their thoughts and opinions are also more
likely to be satisfied with their current positions.

3. Which one do you think is more important? Confidence or knowledge?

Knowledge and confidence are simultaneously important. Lack of knowledge makes a person dumb and lack of
confidence causes low self-esteem. Knowledge is enlightenment and confidence is strength. Both of these
qualities are substantial in life.
4. Describe a historical event from your country
1. Do your parents think learning history is important?
Tbh, my majoring is chemistry so my parents didn’t put a lot of pressure on my shoulder. Instead of spending a
ton of time on learing historical event and memorise numerous milestone of some countries around the world, I
spent this time on my science subjects like math, chemistry, biology, and physic to garner in-depth knowledge.
Hence, facilitating my future career preparation.

2. What are the benefits of museums?

Types of museums: art galary, science museum
Brings more advantages for everyone. Encourage the curiosity about a love of history, evoke the patriotism;
Compare and contrast what is important for them which leads to higher critical thinking skills

3. Are museums in your country free of charge?

Actually, I haven’t had many chances to visit museums in my country, so I cannot give the conclusion about this
question. Anyway, in my hometown, all of museums are free of charge, this proposal would not only attract
intellectual class but also encourage people living in underprivileged conditions to obtain meaningful things and
enhance their awareness about history as well as the art life. Also, this policy could raise a reputation and a
pivotal role of museums. For instance, students might feel free to go the museums in order to broaden their
horizon if they do not have to pay for visiting there.

4. Which way is better for learning history? Through reading books or visiting museums?
I’m glad you mentioned that. Neither because in my opinion, reading books is extrmely tedious and monotonos
and in the COVID-19 pademic period, most of the public place including museum is prohibited to prevent people
from the virus. I’ve always dreamed of one day when history in my country is taught via movies and video
documentaries. That way students might feel more excited and finally be able to pay attention to the knowledge
they are learning in class. By presenting history in the form of images and videos, I believe history classes can
achieve their original purpose – to teach history instead of lulling students to sleep.

5. Do major cities in your country all have museums?

Like i said, Of all the places I know, most of them have at least one museum because each locality has its own
history. We don't have things like Natural History Museums or Science Museums which I am really into.

5. Describe a place in the countryside that you visited

1. Is there anything special about the countryside in Vietnam?

In the rural area in my country, there are a ton of thing that everyone can do like going fishing, attending handicraft
classes, eating specialties in this area, emerging in a eco-system tourist. They can also get involved in traditional
ceremonies to get in-depth knowldge about this area and can sympathize with them more.

2. What do people usually do when going to the countryside?

Like the above-mentioned activities when they pay a visit to rural area is definitely variety. Almost them are those
who want to escap from the hustle and bustle of fast-peaced city and wanna get closer to the nature awa enjoy
the fresh air there. I usually see them rent a bicycle to ride around the picturque village and breathe the pollution-
free air. Moreover, If they have enough lucky, they can get a chance to a paddy field to help some farmers
harvest their crop.

3. Do you think people will live in the countryside in the future?

That’s a tough question because it’s an unpredictable trend. But, in my view, more and more people will choose
the countryside to settle down. The first reason is government will invest more money in improvement the quality
of life in these area. This means that they allow build more industrial area to create more job opportunities fo
everyone. Furthermore, authorities will set up vary forms of recreation like shopping malls or cinema to enhance
the standard of living of people there.

6. Describe a situation when something in your house was broken or stopped working
1. What are the common home appliances that people use these days?

A home appliance, also referred to as a domestic appliance, an electric appliance or a household appliance, is
a machine which assists in household functions such as cooking, cleaning and food preservation and that are
refrigerator, toaster, kettle, microwave, blender. These appliances help in automating a lot of manual work and
thus reduce human effort and time, making our life more comfortable.

2. Do you think modern technology makes people lazier?

Without no doubt, yes, Modern technology has made people lazier in every respect of the word. There are too
many conveniences, such as microwave and auto driving that encourages people to desire as little movement
possible. In addition, the internet, video games, and TV has created a society of people who not only work sitting
down but play sitting down. In addtion, automatic vacuum cleaner, sweeper, and dishwasher allow people to do
not need put any effort to do chores. To conclude, MT encourages a sedentary lifestyle.

3. What can people do to protect their equipment from technical problems?

Actually, I pursue the minimal lifestyle so I don’t possess more this equipment, but in my experience, People
should protect their equipment from dust and get it serviced regularly to avoid any technical glitches. They should
also read the instructions carefully before using the equipment.

4. When an electronic item of yours does not work, would you repair it or buy a new one?
Well, I would try to get it repaired first, If I can’t have enough skill and experience to handle it, I will bring them to
the store to warranty. The reason is that repair would probably cost me less money as compared to buying a
new one.

5. Are you good at handling problems on your own?

Well it depends on the type of problem but still if it is a small problem, i initially try to solve or handle it on my
own but if I don’t have expertise in solving that problem, I like to take it to an expert who can solve it for me
quickly and efficiently.

7. Describe a time when you were preparing for a happy event

1. How can parents help children to get organized?

Set up checklists and to-do lists in each day and week, including regular homework and chores on the list. After
that, breaking tasks into chunks that helping kids break school projects or household chores into smaller, more
manageable steps. This will show them that each project has a beginning, middle, and end, which can make
projects feel less overwhelming. For example, if your child’s nightly chore is to clear the table, explain: First,
scrape any food scraps into the garbage. Then load the dishes into the dishwasher. Then wipe the counters.

2. On what occasions do people need to be organized?

I don’t think people need an occasion to be organised. We should try to be organised all the time. When we are
organised we tend to save a lot of time and do things faster, without facing with problems. Also, being organised
creates a good impression on others.
3. Does everything need to be well prepared?
I think all the important things should be well prepared, but the minor details can be left out. It’s like a speech,
we prepare the main ideas but we leave some liberty to make some changes with the minor details. Preparing
everything in advance would be very exhausting if not impossible.

4. Do people need others’ help when organizing things?

Well, it depends upon the task. If we are organising a big event, we definitely need help. For example, wedding
planners have a whole team of 10-15 members because a single person cannot manage everything. But, if there
are small things like a small family get together, I think a person can organise it on their own.

8. Describe an interesting discussion that you had with friends

1. When do children normally form their own views?

Well, I suppose that children should be encouraged to form their own ideas when they start school. At that
time, kids can not always be reliant on their parents so it’s necessary to develop the ability to think for themselves
and even make their own decisions in some cases.

2. Do children have strong opinions?

I don’t think children can hold strong opinions. By contrast, they easily change their opinions under the influence
of others. They are naive and innocent and thus most of the children change their mind about things upon
persuasion.

3. Should parents request their kids to obey them?

That’s a tough question really. Let me think for a second .Yes, I think it’s very necesary because they don’t have
mature enough to make a right decision and cannot be h. I responsible for the mistakes it makes. If parents ask
their kids to obey them, they should have standard action for their kids to follow because they set them as a role
model.
4. In what industries do you think communication is a necessary skill?
In my view, all industries regardless of the fields, communication skill play a pivotal role in workplace. This is
because it can bind everyone together as a team and resonance to obtain the highest productivity. Without it,
everyone cannot understand mutually and hard to collaborate together. It is extremely hard to create a small
plan let alone a innovative strategy.

9. Describe a lesson that you remember well

1. Which can help you remember things better, words or photos?
I can easily remind better with knowledge that is illustrated with vivid images or animation. For example, when I
learnt about the mechanism of organic or inorganic chemistry reaction, it’s hard for me to visualise without
illustrative images. I mean reading a new theory that isn’t familiar with me make crazy and I mean I will be
bombared with a ton of new words along with complex conceptual.

2. Why do some people have better memory?

when talking about the topic, the first thing comes to my mind is the pharse “nature and nuture”. This means that
some people are inherited this good trait from their parents and without any efforts, there are very few people
have this characteristics. By contrast, the remaining, I belive they try their best to save memory by conducting
several steps. First, they know exactly the memory storage mechanism. Next, they identify the core knowledge
of the theory and help them build systems. Finally, they learn by heart and apply this in the reality.
3. Why can some people remember some little things in life?
To be honest, in the journey I improve my English language skills, specially the IELTS reading test, I have an
invaluable chance to broaden my horizons about the new field, that is psychology, and I know that the core
system for storing information is hippocampus, it is located in my brain and plays an important role to store long-
term memory. The people having short-term memory can face a problem with the hippocampus.

10. Describe an item of clothing that someone gave you

1. Have you ever given clothes to others?
Tbh, I rarely choose cloth as a gift, u know, the explanation for this because I don’t know exactly the color they
like or their size. If I give clothes with properties that they don’t like, I think they will be quite embarrassed to
receive gifts. Thus, I wil give them a discount or voucher for them to allow them to buy whatever they want.

2. Why do people dress casually everyday but dress formally at work?

People wear casually everyday because it brings more comfortable and convenient to do house chores, but wear
dress formally at work because dressing professionally helps them present a positive, professional image of your
organization to others. Moreover, some companies want staff to wear uniform to differentiate between them
and customers, especially in retail and service industry. In this way, customers would know who to ask for help
and the manager will have better control over the organization. (They also don’t have to worry whether their staff
wear proper clothes or not.)

3. Why do people from different countries wear different clothing?

That’s a interesting question. I think the main reason for this is that they have different history and traditions.
Hence they wear different types of clothes. Moreover, people in different places will experience different types
of climate.

4. What are the advantages and disadvantages of wearing uniforms at work and school?
The first advantage is not to worry about what you have to wear every day. They also provide protection for
workers in some specific industries where people need to work with heat and flame. Wearing uniform even boost
team spirit and create a sense of belonging, which benefit both the employee and the organization. However,
not everyone loves wearing uniform, especially when they are made of material that are uncomfortable, like
nylon.

11. Describe about a selfie which you catch in your mobile phone on your favourite occasion
1. Do Vietnam people like to take photos of themselves?
I think, it depends on their personalities of each person, we can see people taking photos on special occasions
like weddings , parties as well as all public places like malls, restaurants and so on. But the main reason to take
the photo is save the beautiful moment and sometimes in the future they can compare images of themselves
before and after a long or short period. Those moments make them feel more comfortable and love their life.

2. What kinds of devices do people like to use for taking photos these days?
Tbh, I don’t have enough special knowledge about the equipments to capture but one of the most popular devices
that everyone can have is smartphone with good camera quality, professional cameras. Plus, if they want to
obtain a clear, bright picture, they can use modern software to adjust the filter.

3. How often do young people take photos when travelling?

I think the frequency of taking pictures will change over time. This means that before pandemic, they can go
wherever and whenever they like as long as they have money and I think they rarely capture the pictureques or
breath-taking view because they quite familiar with it and they think they can take it in other time. But when the
corona virus appear, almost places are lockdown -> don’t have enough chances to go -> value the moment.
12. Describe a gift you would like to buy for your friend
1. When do people normally send gifts to others?

In my perspective, people usually send gift to others in some occasions such as birthday party, wedding, new
home, graduation or just expressing sophistication of their when reasling someone need something. For
example, when I see my father used the old wallet, I bought to him a new wallet to express my love and he was
actually over the moon.

2. Do people give gifts or red packets on traditional festivals?

In my traditional festivals as known as Tet or Lunar New Year Holiday, everyone usually give red packets that
include “lucky money” and attach with wishes. This holiday also is the chances for everyone reunion after a long
period of time.
While the tradition centers on children, red envelopes are given to friends, family, colleagues and many other
relatives - and different amounts of money are customary for each relation. For example, parents and
grandparents get the most, but employees and even casual acquaintances can expect a red envelope.

4. Will people feel happy when receiving an expensive gift?

Actually, yes. I think everyone can extreme pleasure when they receive any gifts from other people regardless
of the price, texture, or any characteristics. Because, u know, the more we mature, the more we don’t care about
the value of gift and only concentrate on the heart and care of senders.

13. Describe a special cake you received from others

1. What are the differences between the special food in Vietnam and foreign countries?
Definitely. World cuisine differs greatly from region to region. Its diverse geography and climate result in variety
of regional ingredients and cooking styles.
There are various of differences btw the food in VN & other nation, but one of the most contast is ingredient as
known as species/condiments like onion, gralic, chili, pepper and fresh meat. Therefore, they spend ton of time
on cooking. By contrast with Western, they usually eat lightly and without much condiments.

2. Do people usually cook special food in Vietnam?

I think it depends on lifestyle of each person. If they have a hectic schedule -> don’t have spare time let alone
cook -> junk food. Healthy lifestyle -> don’t choose (much salt, sugar) -> retain water
Traditional festival or worship for grandparents.

Well, it seems to me that food served on special events such as birthday parties, family gatherings or New Year
Eve, is more elaborate and delicious. People always put their heart and soul into preparing festive food.
They choose expensive, top quality ingredients and spend several hours cooking and garnishing.

3. Should special food be easily available?

I would say no. Because, in my country, as I mentioned be4, special food usually eat in special occasion and
people always prepare together. This process takes a numerous of time from listing ingredients, buying them,
preliminary treatment meat awa vegetable, and cooking. In this situation, everyone can bring back old memories
and enjoy all moments again. Value the process to produce food.

14. Describe a story someone told you and you remember

1. Do young children like the same stories as older children?

I’d say yes, from my own observation, young children not only read same stories as older children, but also they
love hearing it over and over again. This helps them learn a lot of things from stories. They can learn about
colors, shapes, numbers, relationships, and places—and they can learn new words.
2. How has technology changed storytelling?

The use of technology such as graphics, audio, texts, videos and animations is far more effective than traditional
or oral storytelling. In oral storytelling, a child hears the story and needs to paint the picture mentally to
understand the story. This might pose a huge cognitive challenge to them and thus making them passive
listeners. However, in digital storytelling, a child can watch the multimedia visuals and hear the soundtrack to
better understand the story in a vivid way.

15. Describe a thing you cannot live without except cell phone or computer
1. Why do you think teenagers always want to have the latest devices such as the iPhone?
I think it's quite natural. We live in a world that functions and centers around technology nowadays and having
the latest device allows you to make the most of the advances and developments in the market.
It's the same as older people like to have the latest model of car or a new apartment. People like to have the
best or the latest version of things. It's not just teenagers.

2. Why do they often buy a new one even though they already have one?

One reason could be that each new version normally has more functions or features than the older one and
allows the user to do more or access more things. Some people also believe that the newest version of something
is always better.’

3. What do they do with the old one after buying a new one?
Many of my friends give their old devices to their younger brothers or sisters or to another family member. I have
one friend who is a real technology freak and he always finds a way to use the old device for something else,
another project or purpose.

4. How hard is it for parents to convince their children not to buy an expensive phone?
I think it's very hard. Many parents grew up without the internet and such digital devices being a normal part of
life. They are still relatively new, so parents might not really appreciate just how important and interesting they
are for young people.

16. Describe a long walk you ever had

1. What outdoor activities do people like?

Many people enjoy playing badminton, riding bicycles, and walking. Some sports that have been adopted from
other cultures are also popular, such as basketball, tennis, and track sports. One outdoor activity that most
people, both old and young like is table tennis, it is a national sport in our country so it’s not really surprising that
so many people enjoy playing it.

2. What are the differences between the outdoor activities children did in the past and now?
Have less time spending on outdoor activites, and instead they cope with a ton of homework at school. Children
used to play simple games like hide and seek, tag and running in the park but nowadays children are more
inclined towards professional sports they love to play soccer, cricket or some children go for skating practice
because they have chance to expose to new equipment.
3. Is leisure time important to everyone? Why?
Well it is important for everyone to spend some time on entertainment and one should definitely take a break
during the day because in today’s hectic style the brain definitely deserves some rest. People should spend time
rejuvenating so that they can concentrate or focus better on their tasks later on.

4. Do women have more leisure time than men?

I don’t think leisure has got anything to do with the gender of a person. It purely depends upon an individual’s
personality, some people like to work hard whereas others like to spend more time in entertaining themselves.
In fact, at my home my mother and father, who are both working, spend an equal amount of time on leisure
activities.

English, including doubt about ur abulity, lack of practices opportunity, loss of , lack of time, fear of speaking with
strangers.

2. Do you think language learning is important? Why?

Without no doubt, it’s extremely important. The many cognitive benefits of learning languages are undeniable.
People who speak more than one language have improved memory, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills,
enhanced concentration, ability to multitask, and better listening skills.

1. What kinds of apartments are most popular?
One bedroom, or two bedroom apartments are single apartments that have a separate bedroom(s) from the
kitchen and living room. This kind of … popular because almost those living in have 5-9 job, which means that
they rarely presence in ur apartment, it’s very convenient and comfortable,

2. What are the differences between houses that young people and old people like? (*)
I do agree with the suggestion that the kinds of homes, people prefer, would change as they get older, primarily
because the needs of older people are significantly different from that of the young people, as far as the issues
of their economic situation, physical and mental abilities and family support are concerned. For example, for
most old people, a home should be easily accessible from all directions in order to facilitate their easy movement.
Besides, grown-up people prefer homes with more open space with some kind of gardening facilities so that they
can keep themselves busy with working in the garden.

3. What are the differences between apartments and houses?

Difference between House and Apartment
• Apartments cost less than house.
• You own a house where as you get an apartment on lease
• You can easily modify house but you have to seek permission of the landlord in case of apartment

• Paying of taxes is your responsibility in a house.
• In an apartment you may have to share amenities that are common with others.
20. Describe a time you visited a new place
1. Which do you prefer, living in a city or only visiting it as a tourist?
Introvert -> pay a visit to let my hair down, recharge my batteries rather than settle down. Drawbacks: exhausted
gas emissions, traffic congestion, noise pollution.

2. How do young children react when they go to school for the first time?
Extrovert: have curiosity with everything like playground, friends, teachers, classes, … they stroll around the
school to find new things
Introvert people: always accompany with their parents, shy and hard to strive a conversation, sometimes cry

3. How do young and old people react differently to new things?

Depends on what kinds of items, but in general the attitude of children will over react and curious than elder,
which mean they tend to more calm athough in their hearts, they are happy. Eg. Over the moon and tear the gift
box immediately to find what things in the box.

4. Why do some people want to go to college far away from home?

For one, by going someplace new on your own, you will inevitably gain more independence. You’ll need to find
your own way around a new region, locating the resources that you’ll need along the way, but as you do so you
will grow in ways that you might not have otherwise. Another benefit of going to college far from home is the
opportunity to experience living in a new region. You might be exposed to new cultures and lifestyles. You might
get to experience life in a big city or a rural town for the first time. You’ll get a chance to broaden your horizon.

21. Describe a rule (in school or work) that you don’t like
1. What are the rules students should follow at school?
I’d say that basically there are two kinds of rules implemented in educational institutions around Vietnam. The
first one is codes of conduct or codes of ethics that govern behaviours of students, educators and even
students’ parents at school. This set of rules is critical because without them, misconducts such as cheating
on exams, disrespectful behaviours, classroom disruptions and child abuse would be prevalent. Another
common type of regulations in schools is the dress code which clearly states what kinds of uniform or outfits
students and teachers should wear.

2. Are the rules at school good or bad?

Without no dobubt, rules at school totally bring more benefits. Policies are important because they help the
school establish rules and procedures and create standards of quality for learning and safety, as well as
expectations and accountability. Without these, schools would lack the structure and function necessary to
provide the educational needs of students and students will have to fall into chaos (don’t acquire any knowledge)

3. Do people often violate the rules in Viet Nam?

I would say yes, sometimes people want to reduce the time or hurry to do something, they will break the rule like
run the red, lane encroachment, run at high speed. I think these are extreme dangerous, this can lead to severe
accidents.

4. What rules should children follow at home?

Family rules help children understand what behaviors are okay and not okay. As children grow, they will be in
places where they have to follow rules. Following rules at home can help children learn to follow rules in other
places.
No hurting. Keep your hands and feet to yourself./

Yes, it is important for school children to wear uniforms. Uniform instills a sense of discipline in children. It
provides an identity to the school. Uniform is also a social leveler. All rich and poor students came at the same
level. Uniform also provides security. If any miscreants come in the school, they can be recognized from afar.

In my opinion, the people who can easy make friends possess some personality like mature enough to
understand, can listen the words properly without interfering and interpreting, and are humble enough to be
talked with frankly. Getting along with them can make everyone comfortable and always have the positive energy
in life.

2. How do leaders get along with their subordinates?

Well, first and foremost, it’s essential for them to be approachable and good at listening. When employees feel
listened to, they will be more confident to share their opinions and take initiatives. Second, employers should
lead through examples and encouragement, not by order or command. And finally, they must be caring and
supportive. It’s crucial to pay close attention to their staffs’ well-being and make sure they are satisfied,
appreciated and motivated at work.

3. Do people have time for themselves nowadays?

I think it depends on each people, if people possess sufficient soft skills, like arranging their schedule and
planning a to-do list each they, they definitely have time for themselves to do physical excercise, learning new
skills or novel knowledge. Otherwise, they can always have a hectic schedule and under a lot of pressure.

23. Describe a toy that you often played with as a child

1. What kind of toys was famous in your childhood? How about these days?
Back in the day when there was no internet yet, toys such as dolls, toy guns, a flip over pet dog, remote controlled
cars and helicopters, and some collectible anime characters were popular during my childhood. Those days
were memorable since children lived a carefree and a happy life playing and sharing toys with other children that
resulted in forging meaningful friendships. However, these days, I have noticed that children become
individualistic and less sociable. They just enjoy staying in the comfort of their homes playing some computer
games for hours and hours. Well, because of the advancement of technology, common toys nowadays are not
something traditional or tangible but it is more computerized.

2. Do you think parents should buy more toys their children or they should spend more time with them
instead?
Well, the answer is obvious, parents should spend more time with their children! What is the point of having
children if parents cannot spare a good amount of time with them? The problem with our society now is that most
parents do not have enough time for their children because of their hectic schedule at work, their demanding
jobs, and the like. Parents let other people look after their children by sending them to nurseries or hire
babysitters, and when something bad happens with their children, they blame the carers.
Should they not blame themselves then for not looking after their own children? I do understand that both parents
need to work in order to provide a comfortable life to their children, but there are some parents who cannot be
bothered spending time with their children. As a result, their children grow being attention seekers, emotionally
unstable, and narcissistic since during their early stages of development , when they needed their parents beside
them, they were left alone or being taken care of by other people and that is not right. For me, if newly - wed
couples are always busy with their work and if one of them cannot give up their work, they should refrain from
wanting to have a baby.

3. Should we allow boys to play toys that are played by girls and vice versa ?
In my opinion, we should let children play toys that they like as it helps them develop their creativity and
imaginative skills. I understand and respect the traditional belief in which boys must only play toys for boys and
girls should only play toys for girls because that is what people perceive as norm, and some people believe that
it is the right thing to do so that their children will not be confused with their gender role. However, I believe toys
do not define the gender role of a child. We should let our children explore things and make them discover their
toy preference, instead of imposing our default beliefs that they should only play this and that. Having that kind
of attitude limits children to become creative and imaginative. Well, I always go for something that can make
children happy , if their choice is what makes them happy and as long as it is not harmful, then I just support it.

4. Should advertisements aim at children be banned ?

I do not support the idea of banning commercials that are targeting the young audiences, however, I am
supportive for regulating those advertisements. For me, the government should make sure that those kinds of
ads are child - friendly, that is not deceptive and not harmful for a child's development once they watch the ads.
The government should execute the law strictly to those advertisers who disobey the guidelines, as we need to
protect children from bad influences. So I can say, banning is not right but regulating is.

We usually receive free gifts like voucher, coupon, discounts when strolling around the mall or supermarket.
I think.. because they needn’t to pay any price to obtain gift. However, from the perspective of pshychology,
when people receive -? The brain release more endorphine or oxytocin -> boost their mood or as an incentive
way to buy their product on the next time.
5. Do you think our government should provide free gifts for our citizens?
I would say yes, but the government can only donate a small part of the people in their country such as areas
suffering from natural disasters, storms and floods, areas affected by covid. Remaining, A good government
must provide the following to its citizens.

ease. Plus, some people are more naturally friendly than others if they are more extroverted. They are more
outgoing and enjoy being around people.

I like people who are always straightforward because I appreciate their honesty and efficiency. These types of
people will always tell you the truth, and are never afraid to share their honest opinion. Sometimes straightforward
people may be perceived as blunt or rude, however I would say that is a misconception. Straightforward people
are not trying to be rude, they are trying to be honest. Some people may also have trouble reading social cues,
so they act very straightforward all the time.

2. Is it necessary for parents to read stories for their children?

There are many benefits of teaching children by parents on stories.
Children can understand stories by reading themselves, but not up to the level as older people can. As they grow
up their analysing ability also will increase. Hence if parents make them understand stories by reading and
translating, they can understand much better.
Not only that, if children start reading and watching stories by themselves, there is a possibility of
misunderstanding the concept of stories (If Moral stories), and also possibility of choosing the bad programs
and stories by themselves. For instance, old people always advise parents to teach children good moral stories,
which are used for them to improve and understand the values of a human being.

3. Which group would read more, young people or old people?

Well, this isn’t something I’ve ever considered but I’d say that probably youngsters with plenty of spare time
read far more often than older adults. The most obvious reason is that there has been a broader range of
engrossing books catering to them than those targeted at aged readers. Educational books, for example, are
now colourfully illustrated and meticulously designed to capture the attention of children.
Working adults, by contrast, tend to have less disposable income and spare time to pursue any hobbies at
all. With a family to take care of, they seem to have too much on their plate already. As for elderly people, they
might be too frail or their eye conditions wouldn’t allow them to read frequently.

4. What's the difference between men's and women's reading habit?

I think the most noticeable difference bth both genders in reading habit is the genre. Women tend to read more
fiction books, most falling within the genres of mystery, crime, thriller and romance. Men, on the other hand, read
history, memoirs, biographies and science fiction. Moreover, in my view, women are more patient than men, so
the tend to read more and longer than men.
36. Describe a creative person(an artist/musician/...) whose work you admire (39)
37. Describe a bicycle/motorcycle/car trip you would like to go (37)
2. Do you think air pollution comes mostly from mobile vehicles?
Without no doubt, no, vehicles aren’t the main culprit of means of transport which release hazardous gas
emission. They definitely contribute a lot to the problem, and we need to cut the use of mobile vehicles down
wherever possible. But I think that a lot of air pollution comes from ships and trains and other forms of
transportation as well. Factories also cause a ton of air pollution. You can see all the dark smoke that comes
out of them.

4. How re the transportation systems in urban areas and rural areas different?
Urban areas are so densely populated and infrastructure is geographically closer than in rural areas-Public
transportation is more readily available and accessible in an urban context. But you’ll never see a public
transportation that good in villages. People who live in the countryside normally ride a bike or just walk places
within the … as the residential area of a rural neighborhood can be very small.

people can splurge on food because they think that is a way to relive streess.

Yes, I think it is crucial as we can never be certain about the future. The recent Corona epidemic has made it
even more clear that how uncertain life is. Many people died because they couldn’t afford the costly healthcare.
Also, if people didn’t have savings, it would have been impossible to tide over these difficult times.

4. Do people buy things they don't need?

Yes, all the time. I think we buy things because buying things makes us happy. Even though we know we won’t
be using the thing, we buy it for momentary happiness. A common example is an electric drill, which people
barely use for 10 mins after buying and then collects dust sitting unused for years.

1. Do children learn much faster than adults?
Kids learn faster than adults because the prefrontal cortex of the brain, where working memory is stored, is more
developed more in adults than children. Due to the development of the prefrontal cortex, adults experience
functional fixedness and that makes adults see everything exactly as it is. In addition, I think children are not
affected by many things like adults, namely money, work, so they can put more concentration on learning.

2. Why should we learn something we are interested in?

I am a big fan of psychology, so when I read about it, some research show that when people catch up with the
interesting things, ur brain releases two chemical compounds that are donpamin and oxytocin can help us think
more clearly, understand more deeply, and remember more accurately. Moreover, when people curious about
the familiar or interest topics, this means they have a bedrock about this and they can undertand some complex
conceptual.

3. What are the differences between hard work and smart work?
The difference between hard work and smart work is based on how I approach my task. Hard work would mean
spending long hours to complete my work without any shortcuts. It definitely ensures results but the process is
long and stressful. Smart work would be aiming for the same results but with planning and prioritization of tasks.
E.g. in the school, people should worked hard to study the entire syllabus for their own knowledge and worked
smart to score well in my examinations. A combination of both has guaranteed them the best possible results
always!

them use some similar softwares like Facebook, Zalo, Utube. They use Facebook to keep in touch with friends
or relatives. By contrast, younger people use Zalo to discuss about the workload.

2. Do older people spend much time on social media?

I would say yes, there are a lot of reasons for this trend. Firstly, thanks to the popular of technology devices,
elderly almost have for their own a smartphone. Secondly, because of the widespread of the pandemic, they
don’t allow to participate in outdoor activities. Thus they have a only mean of relaxing is browsing the social
media.

49. Describe a famous city that you think is interesting

1. What advantages can tourism bring to a city?
I believe tourism has a huge impact in contributing towards the GDP of our country. When foreign tourists visit

3. Do most elderly people live in the city or in the countryside?

I total believe that senior citizens will choose to live in city. Although, it is believed that countryside have some
benefits as pollution-free gas, peaceful, in my view, the advantages of living in city will outweigh that of
countryside. There’s good public transportation that makes getting around a lot easier in the city. Much easier
going to the store and going to doctor appointments. As people get older, they have more doctor appointments
and picking up prescription medications.
There’s a lot more things to do in the city. There are adult education centers that teach painting and crafts and
there are churches who have regular bingo games or card games.

4. Do you think well-developed tourism will have negative effects in local people?
Yes, of course. There are various negative consequences of tourism that can negatively affect the local people
staying in that place. If the foreign tourists do not take care of the historical places well, it would cause damage
to these historical buildings and thereby, the loss of culture and heritage. Secondly, huge crowd of tourists can
also affect the city, causing inconvenience to a number of local residents. Finally, they also cause a detrimental

In the past, people usually precious metal, such as platinum, gold, or silver, and I asked my mother about the
reason, u know my mother explained that because they used to suffer from starvation (malnutrition), they
