In 300 words or less, tell us why you have chosen to study at RMIT instead of your home country. Please list other
universities in Australia and your home country that you have researched and considered.

RMIT University in itself doesn’t need an introduction when it comes to its excellence as an education
provider and offering an amazing learning and research environment. Being an international university,
RMIT University offers an impeccable atmosphere for students like me to excel and learn from a diverse
class of students. It is also ranked as one of the top universities not only in Australia but also globally. The
university has a remarkable faculty, a modern and well updated infrastructure, and all in all, provides a
platform to develop new skills and help students ace their program’s learnings, especially in a science
industry major like mine. While researching about different options to study masters in Australia, I did come
across various other universities, such as Monash, UWA, Curtin, etc., but I was really inclined towards
RMIT, considering its relevant, updated, and industry-level quality of education and reputation in the food
industry. In India, there are various universities that offer a master's in food science, like IIT-Delhi, MS.
Ramaiah University of Applied Science in Bangalore, and the Indian Institute of Science in West Bengal.
The education system in the institutions abroad is more focused on developing the practical skills of
students and making them job-ready. Studying away from home will not only help me to gain a global
mindset but also to learn self-reliance and gain independence.

are follow the traditional method which is not very fruitful for me. After my master degree my first
