Task 1 PHE
Task 1 PHE
Connecting to the key concept, related concept and the global context to the unit
The unit title for this semester is finding balance in an unbalanced world.Finding balance in
your life means considering all aspects of your life.It includes working on your fitness, health
and emotional well-being.We are all committed in different ways with work and even school or
family responsibilities, but making time for yourself is important for your physical and health
development. You can find balance in unbalanced world by creating goals, setting work schedule
and making time to manage your stress. When we organize our activities we will find it easy to
function and balance ourselves leading in healthy lifestyle.
Sustaining balance in our diet, alongside personal fitness improves our stability.Function is the
action or role that something is specifically designed to do.One of the most important aim of
Physical Health Education is to create a desire in lifelong physical activity and to develop the
students’ competence and confidence to take part in range of physical activities both in and out
of school.
Change in technology has helped to energize students and motivate them through
electronic devices such as trackers, gaming systems and physical education apps.Technical
innovation is to improve the standard of living in the physical world and is the source of
development in the society as a whole.Scientific innovation has helped to improve our
physical development by innovating devices such as Heart Rate Monitors which measure the
pulse rate while doing a physical activity.Another device is pedometer which track step-count in
a activity.
Clients results
Age
My client is a teenager who is 15 years old and she is in MYP 3.She is happy with her age
because it gives her opportunities to engage herself in complex exercises compared to the one
who is 10 years old.Doing complex exercise techniques will enhance her personal growth and
will give her many opportunities in life in terms of sports. My client is of mesomorph type
because she has moderate-size frames, with wider shoulders and a narrow waist, strong arms
and legs and modest amount of body fat.
Weight
The weight of my client is 40 kg and this is very stable weight for her because she can do many
things which will improve her physical health and more of exercising will make her not to
struggle while doing them. She eats 5 meals a day and sleeps for a maximum of 8 hours which
is good for her body weight and health. She can do athletics like running for short distances.
Height
My client’s height is 1.6 meters or 160 cm which is one of the best height because it won’t limit
her in playing any sport.Tall people can accurately identify position of the object like a ball from
far.
BMI
Body mass index is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to men and
women. We can use it to work out if your height and weight is health. The body mass index of my
client is 25kg/m squared because she is 15 years old and has a mass of 40kg.I got a graph
which shows that she is healthy.
As you can see she is at a healthy weight and she is able to control her amount of body fat
which will help her prevent diseases such as diabetes and obesity.
Weaknesses
One of the greatest weakness of my client is handling the ball and she is not able to shoot from
far this because she has not put much effort in her shooting skills. This is how she is supposed
to shoot;
Physical and health goals for my client
Physical and health goals will help us achieve the development of the client and as the coach I
will be training my client using the SMART goals and I will be concentrating on her weaknesses
so that she will get to know the game better.I will focus on her physical goal which is handling
the ball and shooting.I will give her special training which is according to her age and how she
will acquire the skills.
Our health goal is communication skills, she cannot call out for the ball which may result in
non-collaborative skill.
