2.2 应用范围

Application range
XD-C series single stage rotary vane vacuum pumps are suitable for pumping air and other
equipment in airtight containers.There are no damages to the vacuum pump (dry, non-toxic, non
corrosive, non explosive gas).
They are applicable to non explosive working environment and can be used for continuous
work.
The vacuum pump oil is concentrated on the tank during operation. And the oil won't flow into
the lower chamber if the vacuum pump runs the empty pump with no stop. After 10 hours of continuous
operation, the vacuum pump must be closed for at least 15 minutes if a high pressure difference
occurs between the suction side and the exhaust side in a short time.So that the vacuum pump oil
flows from above the chamber into the inferior chamber.

2.3 Accessories selecting

2.3.1 Ballast valve
The process gas is mixed with a limited amount of ambient air to counteract the pressure caused
by steam condensation in the pump chamber.
2.3.2 Inlet filter

If the gas contains dust and solid particles, the inlet shall be fitted with a suitable filter.

To reduce wear of vacuum pump and prolong service life of vacuum pump oil,users can

consult with the supplier according to the operating conditions.

3．Transport

Hoisting articles.Be careful of being seriously injured!Please do not move, stay or
work under the lifting gear.

Lifting vacuum pump.Be careful of being seriously injured!Lift the vacuum pump
with the rings on the vacuum pump.

Notice！
Make sure there is no oil in the vacuum pump when carrying or transporting vacuum
pumps.
The vacuum pump can not be turned or reversed after refueling. Please keep
horizontal movement.

4．Storage
The vacuum pump oil must be exhausted, the suction port and filter screen be cleaned,
the exhaust filter and oil filter be checked, the dirt on the surface of the vacuum
pump be removed, and all ports be blocked with adhesive tape or plastic block when the
vacuum pumps go out of service.The vacuum pumps stored for more than 3 months should
be wrapped in plastic film, stored in a dust-free, dry room. Please keep the original
packing as far as possible.

5．Installation and debugging

5.1 Prerequisites for installation
Make sure the vacuum pump installation area is non explosive area.（Please consult the
supplier for the use of explosion-proof area）
Installation area ambient temperature：0～35℃，the ambient pressure is no higher than
atmospheric pressure.
The installation area condition should be in line with the motor protection grade.
Vacuum pump installation area should be in good ventilation position, easy to
ventilation and less than the surrounding object 200 mm, and consider the reservation
of the maintenance space.The installation position of vacuum pump should be easy to
observe by oil level mirror.The vacuum pump must be mounted on a fixed flat surface
in a horizontal state.

5.2 Connecting pipe
5.2.1Inlet connection

Notice！
Make sure that the inner wall of the pipe is clean and smooth.If the gas pumped containing
dust or other particles, it is recommended to install a suitable filtration or separation
device in the air inlet.
Make sure that the pipe connected to the vacuum pump does not produce stress, and it is
recommended to install the flexible joint.
Ensure that the nominal diameter of the pipe connected to the vacuum pump shall not be
smaller than the vacuum pump interface path.
In the process of use, if the connecting pipe is long and the efficiency is reduced, then
choose a larger size pipe.
In order to prevent the vacuum pump oil from being pumped down to the pipe or container
after the stop, it is recommended to install valves (vacuum ball valve, vacuum solenoid
valve, vacuum pneumatic valve) at the inlet.
5.2.2 Exhaust port connection

Be careful！Cautious！
In the absence of special requirements, the pump can directly exhaust the atmosphere,
and there is no need to connect the pipe.The exhaust pipe that needs to be installed
does not allow throttling devices to be installed. The exhaust pipe installed shall
be downward oriented or use a gas-liquid separator.The exhaust pipe must use conductive
material to prevent static electricity from occurring, and electrostatic discharge may
cause the explosion of the discharged oil mist.

5.3 Adding gas

Be sure to pump oil before starting. No oil or oil shortage will cause serious failure
or vacuum pump scrap.Unscrew the filling plug and slowly inject the pump oil. When
the oil level is still, observe that the oil level should be lower than the highest
mark of the oil level mirror, then tighten the filling plug and forbid oiling or oil
discharging when running.

5.4 Electrical connection

No oil opearting will damage the vacuum pump in a short period of time.
 Make sure the vacuum pump is fully filled before the vacuum pump starts
working.

Be careful！Cautious！
When the vacuum pump is running, the surface temperature may reach
above 70 degrees, be careful not to be scalded.

The vacuum pump makes noise when it is running.Be careful of hearing damage.
The running noise is very large during the first a few seconds after starting with
cold oil, which is a normal phenomenon.
Make sure the maximum allowable starting times of vacuum pump is not more than
12 times per hour.
Measure the motor current of the vacuum pump and record it as the basis for future
maintenance and troubleshooting.
After running for a few minutes, check the oil level to see whether need to add
oil.
The normal working temperature of the pump can reach more than 50~60 degrees,
please don’t touch it.
Removal of condensable gas：steam，drying process and so on.First, turn off the
intake air and run for 20~30 minutes, so that the pump temperature reaches the
working temperature which is above 60 degrees .Only by reaching this temperature
can the condensable gas be removed effectively.
After using the pump which is equipped with gas ballast valve,you should close
the air inlet and run it for 15~30 minutes to clean the pump oil.
The time connecting to atmosphere shouldn’t exceed 2 minutes.

6．Maintenanc
Warning！
Vacuum pumps are contaminated with harmful substances.Beware of
poisoning! Be careful of infection!
If the vacuum pump is polluted by poisonous materials, please wear protective
equipment.

Be careful！Cautious！
The surface temperature is very high.Caution: Hot！

Before touching the vacuum pump, make sure it is

cooled down.

Before the maintenance, make sure the vacuum pump power is cut

off and the pressure in all the connecting pipes is normal.

6.1 Maintenance plan

The maintenance items and intervals of the vacuum pumps are determined by
each work environment.General maintenance can be based on the following time
table,then shorten or extend maintenance time according to the actual
application situation.（See Table 1）

6.2 Oil and oil filter replacement

In general conditions, performed as planned. If oil is contaminated, frequent
oil change is required.

Steps of changing oil and oil filter：

Stop the vacuum pump and let air in through the inlet port,unscrew the oil plug,
drain the oil, stop the flow of oil, screw on the drain plug, start the vacuum pump for
a few seconds, and then unscrew the oil drain to drain the remaining oil.Screw on the drain
plug, turn off the old oil filter and replace it with a new one.Add the new oil, observe
the oil level, and fill it with the oil level mirror. If the oil level mirror indication
is not clear, replace the oil level mirror.

6.3 Exhaust filter replacement

The service life of the exhaust filter of the new pump is usually 1500~2000
hours.An exhaust pressure meter can be installed to check the working conditions of the
exhaust filter.When the exhaust pressure gauge is larger than 0.6bar and the pointer is
in the red area, the exhaust filter needs to be replaced.Please replace the exhaust filter
immediately when the oil mist appears at the exhaust port.And please replace the exhaust
filter immediately when the fuel consumption of the vacuum pump increases obviously.

Steps of replacing the exhaust filter ：
Remove the exhaust cover, unscrew the screws and take them down together with
the top sheet,remove the exhaust filter to change into a new one.Fit the top and
tighten the screws and fit the exhaust cap.
Notice：If the vacuum pump replaced is found with toxic and harmful gas, please
pay attention.

7．Overhaul

Notice！
Any disassembly other than that mentioned in the manual shall be completed by the
supplier.
If the vacuum pump gas contains harmful pollutants to human body：The vacuum pump must
be purified as efficiently as possible.Pollution status must be listed in the "vacuum pump
decontamination instructions".

8．Machine hault
·Turn the vacuum pump off·Make sure the pressure in the connection pipe is
normal·Disconnect all connections·

16．Three guarantees clause

We carry out the three guarantees clause for the quality of our vacuum pumps
within 12 months from the date of delivery.
·The prerequisite for quality assurance is that the user must install, use and
maintain the products manufactured by the company in accordance with the terms of
the installation instructions
·Within the warranty period,if product defects and failures occur due to material
and processing factors when you install and operate our products,we will be
responsible for the replacement of damaged parts free of charge.If the maintenance
can’t reach standard , we will change a new one for you.
·Incorrect use of products, not in accordance with the provisions or incorrect
maintenance,unauthorized removal and modification, installation of non - original
parts, are all not within the scope of quality assurance.
·If the user fails to meet the payment obligation according to the contract, it
is not applicable to the three guarantees clause and can’t be recovered.The
application for the three guarantees clause must be lodged within the valid warranty
period, and the overdue application will not be accepted.
·The consumables such as vacuum pump lubricating oil, air filters, oil filters,
exhaust filters are not within the three guarantees clause.
·Our company doesn’t undertake any responsibilities of special, direct and
undirect loss and compensation caused by equipment damages.
