I. Installation

1. Please download the “Printer Software Switch Utility” from Posiflex website.
http://www.posiflex.com.tw/en-global/Download/index/driver/POS-Printer?key=switch

2. Unzip the file “PP_SW_Utility_vXXX.rar”, and double-click the “Setup.exe” to


install the Utility.

*Note: The “vXXX” means the version of Printer Software Switch Utility.

3. Please click “NEXT” to proceed the installation.

4. After installation completed, please click Finish button and exit.

II. Star the Printer NV-Bitmap Utility

Please find the software utility from: “Start” -> ”POSIFLEX Tools” -> ”Posiflex
Software Switch Utility”.

i. Main Screen
The main screen of Printer Software Switch Utility is showing as bellow.
*Note: The “v.XXX” means the current version of Printer Software Switch Utility.

ii. Printer Port selection


First of all, please select the proper Port Address from the list of “Printer Port
Selection” depending on the current printer interface you have.

“True USB” interface: please also select the “printer model” from the list.

“Virtual COM/Serial” interface: please also check the COM port setting.

TCP/IP: please enter the printer’s IP address.

iii. Read Setting


After printer port selected, please click “Read Settings” button to get the current
printer settings & related information. The information & language settings would be
display as picture shown below.

Users can test the printing functions (printer connection) via “Self-test” or “Font Test”
buttons. Also from the “Self-test” printout, users can check the current printer jumper
settings, printer information as reference as well.

- Self Test: Click to print the <Self-test> page of your printer.


Users can check the current switch status by Self-test page.

- Fonts Test: Click to print the current printer font of your printer.

iv. Software Switch Adjustment


Please make sure the printer connection is working fine first before adjusting the
software settings.
1. Click <Read Settings> to read out the current settings.

2. Please go to the page of Switch that you want to change. (Please refer to the
jumper setting according to your printer mode.)
3. Depending on the requests to adjust the switches to “ON/OFF” accordingly.
4. Click <Write Setting> to write the settings to the printer.
(PS: Please finish and write the settings on current “Switch x” first before jumping to
the next one. For example, if you need to do the settings under both “Switch 1” and
“Switch 2,” please complete the adjustments and write the settings on either Switch 1
or Switch 2 first before doing the adjustments on the other.)

5. Click <OK>, then after printer LED flash finished, please “reboot” your printer.

v. Language Support
Under page of <Additional Software Switch>, you can setup the “Code page”,
“International Character Set” for your printer.

Select the option you need -> Click <Write Settings> -> Restart printer -> Then
check the current setting could meet your request or not by <Self-test> page.

- New 8x16 Font: Currently, our printer can support either “Font A(12x24)” or “Font
B(8x16)”. For Font B (8x16) printer font, we have two results for selection.
“Normal 8x16” and “New 8x16”, New 8x16 font is bigger than Normal 8x16 font.

Normal 8x16 font: Select New 8x16 font is “OFF”

New 8x16 font: Select New 8x16 font is “ON”

During software switch utility usage, here will showing some records of your printer.
