Entertainment),  Executive  Mayor  of  the  City  of  Tshwane  (Host  City).  
• Special  Guest:  Minister  of  Arts  and  Culture,  plus  other  Ministers  and  Executive  Members  of  the  City  
and  Foreign  Ambassadors  of  select  Consulates  
 
250  Guests  will  be  made  up  from  mostly  major  media,  celebrities  and  artists,  key  stakeholders,  senior  
management  from  select  brands  and  sponsors.

12:00  –  12:30   Guest  Arrival  at  parking  area  and  Rovos  Rail  /  Capital  Park  Station  

    Live  Band  Performances  and  Rockstar  Tribal  Dance  Sequence  /  Drummers  

    Full  Bar  Service  at  Station  

Guests  arrive  at  Capital  Park  Station  /  Rovos  Rail  between  12pm  and  12:30pm,  from  where  
they  will  receive  a  welcome  and  hospitality  pack  and  directed  to  board  the  Rockstar  
Express  train.  Part  of  the  arrival  and  welcoming  will  see  Rockstar  Tribal  Warriors  /  Dancers  /  
Drummers  positioned  alongside  the  station  entranve  and  platform,  with  massive  large  
drum  setting  the  tone  during  arrivals.  

12:30  –  12:50   Guests  board  Rockstar  Express  

13:00     Rockstar  Express  Departs  –  Full  Bar  Service  and  Catering  

The  Rockstar  Express  depart  and  with  a  2  hour  journey  arrive  at  Cullinan  Train  Station.  

15:00  –  15:30   Rockstar  Express  Arrives  at  Cullinan  Station

 On  arrival  at  the  train  station  guests  disembark  and  are  met  with  a  large  crowd  in  the  form  
of  a  large  ‘block  party’  staged  across  the  station  area  which  is  attended  by  exclusive  invite  
to  the  town’s  residents  and  the  greater  City  of  Tshwane.  The  convoy  has  a  quick  stop  over  
here  with  the  Executive  Mayor,  RS  and  SM  gets  on  stage,  for  a  short  welcome  message,  
introduction  to  the  launch  and  with  the  Executive  Mayor  pulling  a  large  switch  or  pressing  a  
big  button,  literally  switching  on  the  site.  As  this  is  switched  on  a  sequence  of  Rockstar  
Tribal  dancers  sets  off  with  drummers  and  build  up  to  a  explosive  live  performances.  

At  this  point  the  Exective  guests  depart  on  their  way  to  the  main  festival  sites.  The  block  
party  then  continues  with  regular  announcements  sequenced  up  with  the  rest  of  the  
reveals  and  announcents  and  continue  partying  until  late  at  night.  

15:35  –  15:50   Executive  Mayor  /  ROCKSTAR4000  /  Sony  Music  Officially  Switch  On  Cullinan  with  BIG  
switch  and  short  introdductory  speeches.  

Block  Party  Starts.  Live  Performances  at  Cullinan  Station  /  DJs  

Convoy  Guests  Board  Tshwane  Luxury  Busses  

Short  tour  of  the  Town  Centre  and  key  hotspots  

The  VIP  guests  boards  the  luxury  City  of  Tshwane  Busses  located  in  the  station  parking  area  
and  set  of  for  a  short  tour  of  the  town  centre  and  key  hotspots  while  tour  guides  on  each  of  
the  vehicles  guide  and  talk  guests  through  the  experience.  The  tour  guide  portion  will  be  
interesting  facts  about  the  town  and  the  region  intrenched  with  key  messages  and  notes  
about  the  festival  and  festival  setup.  Once  we  finished  the  tour  of  the  town  centre  we  head  
down  the  road  to  the  site  which  will  host  the  3  main  stages  and  camping  village  for  the  
festival.  

15:50  –  16:00   Guests  transfer  to  main  festival  site  

    Guests  disembark  the  busses  and  enter  the  Rockstar  Oasis  Lounge  

As  we  come  around  the  corner  and  hit  the  site  where  the  3  main  stages  will  be  based  an  
Oasis  becomes  visible  and  3  large  downward  pointing  arrows  in  the  3  main  fields.  'DANCE  
VILLAGE',  ‘THUNDERVALLEY’,  ‘DIAMONDFIELDS’.  The  massive  large  downwards  pointing  
arrows  are  visible  (in  an  X  marks  the  spot  fashion)  and  to  the  bottom  of  this  a  small  stage  
(stage  about  2m  in  height).  This  stage  is  surrounded  and  covered  by  'POST  APOCALYPTIC'  
type  traditional  meets  contemporary  street  city  African  warriors  in  masks  carrying  large  
blades  and  drums.  In  the  fields  large  letters  spelling  out  the  names  of  each  of  the  main  
stages  are  visible,  placed  with  pegs  into  the  soil  and  scattered  between  then  are  some  of  
our  Rockstar  Tribal  Warriors.  As  the  convoy  come  to  a  halt,  guests  get  off  at  the  Oasis  and  
get  refreshments  served.  
 
16:00  –  16:30   Executive  Mayor  /  ROCKSTAR4000  /  Sony  Music  Officially  Switch  on  Main  Festival  Site

   A  large  ‘Switch’  or  ‘Button’  is  visible  on  a  small  stage  next  to  the  Oasis  with  steps  leading  up  
to  the  switch.  The  Mayor,  Rockstar  CEO  and  Sony  MD  walks  up  the  stairs  and  position  next  
to  the  switch.  The  Mayor  pushes  /  pulls  the  switch  and  switches  on  the  Main  Festival  

Dance  Village  reveal  (Entertainment;  Rockstar  Warrior  tribal  street  dancers,  drummers,  2  
x  DJ’s  –  DJ  Fresh  or  Black  Coffee  and  ClassyMenace)  

Suddenly  there  is  a  silence  for  a  few  minutes  and  then  suddenly  a  loud  african  Rockstar  
tribal  chant  starts  followed  by  a  sequence  of  drumming  setting  of  smoke  on  the  ‘Dance  
Village’  stage  area  and  then  some  of  the  warriors  disperse  while  the  drumming  continues  
and  a  high  impact  street  dance  sequence  starts  and  through  the  smoke  its  revealed  the  
artists  ‘Bittereinder’  and  2  DJ's  on  stage  (DJ  Fresh  or  Black  Coffee  and  Classymenace)…  each  
playing  a  high  impact  DJ  set…  this  total  sequence  is  around  30  minutes  in  duration  all  in  all,  
while  guests  are  being  presented  with  hospitality  as  they  witness  this  sequence.  Creating  
an  impression  of  WTF  is  this  in  middle  of  nowhere…  the  arrow  the  sequence  and  then  what  
the  heck…  Its  DJ  Fresh  and  Classymenace  playing  in  middle  of  nowhere….  What's  this  
about….??  
 
RockPop  stage  reveal  (Entertainment;  Rockstar  Warrior  tribal  street  dancers,  drummers,  
biker  sequence,  Gangs  of  Ballet  live  set)  

A  convoy  of  motorcycles  with  a  lot  of  noise  come  down  the  dirt  road  from  both  sides  
towards  the  Oasis.  They  suddenly  stop  when  they  are  close  enough  and  get  off  their  bikes  
and  slowly  walk  towards  the  guests  and  the  Oasis  in  a  very  'Post  Apocalyptic  Mad  Max  type  
manner  wearing  helmets,  goggles,  glasses,  masks,  etc  etc.    

This  large  convoy  of  bikers  pause  for  a  few  seconds  as  if  in  a  major  standoff  with  the  guests  
and  oasis  almost  creating  a  feeling  of  being  trapped  inbetween  the  two  sides.  As  the  two  
Rockstar  Tribes  face  off  a  few  members  from  each  of  the  two  sides  step  forward.  As  they  
meet  in  the  middle  a  high  energy  street  dance  battle  sets  off  and  within  this  reveals  Xtatic,  
Xtatic  starts  performing  her  first  single,  as  she  comes  to  the  end  of  the  first  single  AKA  and  
Priddy  Ugly  is  also  revealed  and  they  join  Xtatic  to  start  the  2nd  performance  collabo  of  ‘Hit  
em  Up.  Following  Hit  em  Up  AKA  continues  on  to  perform  a  further  2  of  his  biggest  hits.  

Suddenly  as  per  the  first  Oasis  a  loud  tribal  type  war  chant  sounds  out  again  and  the  
warriors  on  the  left  stage  come  alive,  follow  a  similar  sequence  to  the  first  stage  and  the  
bikers  (about  100  to  120  of  them)  break  out  in  a  high  impact  street  dance  sequence  to  
banging  music,  smoke  sets  off  on  stage  on  the  left  and  as  the  warrior  leave  the  stage  and  
smoke  disperse  it  reveals  the  rock  band  with  full  back-­‐line  'Gangs  of  Ballet'  on  stage  and  
Gangs  starts  playing  a  live  set.  The  sequence  carry  on  a  again  for  about  30min  in  total  

RnB  /  Hip  Hop  stage  reveal  (Entertainment;  Rockstar  Warrior  tribal  street  dancers,  
drummers  bikers  and  either  D’banj  or  Fally  Ipupa  plus  Keko,  Liquideep,  Kwesta,  Rouge  
live  performance)  

Then  the  bikers  get  on  their  bikes  head  slightly  down  the  road  and  then  make  a  turn  onto  
the  last  arrow  and  stage  on  right.  While  they  do  this  the  tribal  chant  sets  of  again,  warrior

 drummer  dancer  sequence  on  that  stage  starts,  and  the  bikes  pull  up  to  the  stage.  Some  of  
the  bikers  get  onto  stage  and  suddenly  banging  music  kicks  in  a  again  and  reveals  Keko,  
Liquideep,  Kwesta  and  Fally  Ipupa…!  
 
Suddenly  loud  Tribal  chant  sounds.  Rockstar  Warrior  dance  crew,  drummers  introduce  
young  Praise  Poet  Botlhale.  Young  Botlhale  tells  the  ancient  tale  of  the  tribes  of  the  world,  
the  origins  of  music  and  its  mythical  birthplace,  the  Cradle  of  Music,  Dinokeng  and  the  City  
of  Tshwane  and  drumming  sequence.  This  builds  into  a  surprise  performance  by  Zakes  
Bantwini.  Botlhale  continues  the  story  and  ties  in  Tanzania  with  performance  from  Alikiba,  
leads  into  a  performance  by  Shortstraw.  Botlhale  continues  and  introduces  with  a  bridge  by  
the  drummers,  opening  short  speech  of  Jandre  Louw,  CEO,  ROCKSTAR4000.  Botlhale  
continues  the  story,  intercut  with  live  performance  from  Naava  Grey  (link  Uganda),  
Botlhale  continues  and  bridge  into  short  speech  by  Sean  Watson,  MD,  Sony  Music  
Entertainment  Africa.  Botlhale  picks  up  and  bridge  into  Redsan  (link  Kenya),  Botlhale  picks  
up  and  bridge  into  Fally  Ipupa  (link  DRC,  Senegal,  Gabon  and  French  Africa).  Botlhale  links  
into  short  speech  from  Host  City,  Executive  Mayor  of  Tshwane.  Botlhale  picks  up  and  builds  
into  reveal  of  logo,  name,  dates  together  with  all  dancers  and  drummers  ending  with  
performance  from  Zonke.  Botlhale  closes  the  story  and  sets  the  tone  for  the  journey  starts  
now  to  the  awakening  of  the  cradle  of  music.
