1. Assignment report structure

- Complete and fill all required data in the Front page with scan digital
signature.
o Table of contents
o List of Figures
o List of Tables
o Introduction
 Introduce the project and explain what it is all about
 Explain the problems that requires address and give solutions
to them
 Talk about what the important parts of the assignment you will
focus
o Body of the report
 P1, P2, P3, P4, M1, M2, D1.
 Write down all questions, followed by answers sequentially.
o Conclusion
 The summary of the entire assignment that brings the report to
a satisfying and logical end.
o Evaluation
 You must provide your opinion or verdict on whether an
argument, or set of research findings, is accurate.
o References
 Inline text citations are required (Sources of information)
 You must use Harvard referencing style for this report.
2. Passing Criteria
P1 Analyze the evolution and fundamental concepts of Cloud Computing.

P2 Design an appropriate architectural Cloud Computing framework for a


given scenario.

Refer to the knowledge in Chapter 3 provided by eBook “Essential of


CLOUD COMPUTING”. For examples, Cloud architecture, Network connection
in cloud computing, Applications on the cloud, Migrating Application to cloud …

P3 Define an appropriate deployment model for a given scenario.


Refer to the knowledge in Chapter 4 provided by eBook “Essential of
CLOUD COMPUTING”. For example, Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Community
Cloud, Hybrid Cloud.
P4 Compare the service models for choosing an adequate model for a given
scenario.
Refer to the knowledge in Chapter 5 provided by eBook “Essential of
CLOUD COMPUTING”. For examples: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
M1 Discuss why an organisation should migrate to a Cloud Computing
solution.
Refer to the knowledge in Chapter 2 provided by eBook “Essential of

M2 Demonstrate these deployment models with real world examples.
D1 Justify the tools chosen to realize a Cloud Computing solution.

3. Important Notes

3.1. For students

While completing ASM1 & 2, students could refer the instructions which are quite
detailed in the Assignment Brief (with P, M & D levels) and teaching slides of BTEC Da
Nang. Besides, we need to pay attention to the following points:

• Students could customize the context for the company (must be written clearly in the
introduction) but still ensure the main ideas outlined while deploying cloud computing
services for ATN company (or any company).

• The difficult part while implementing the cloud services for company is the
synchronization of distributed databases via the Web interface (this part needs to be
supplemented in other subjects, especially Web and Databases). Therefore, I would like
to consider it as an option, not mandatory.

• To be assessed D, besides finishing D level required by the assignments, there must be a


self-assessment (difficulties, how to solve, harvesting, contribution in assignments).

3.2. For evaluators

General requirements while evaluating assignments:

 According to the template sent by BTEC (teachers could provide it if needed)


 The assignments must contain Front-sheet, References, check plagiarism (<20%)
 Stick to the learning outcomes described in the Assignment Brief
 The assignments must submit according to the deadline. In case of late submission,
the lecturer has the right to refuse the evaluation
 To give the student a D rating, the lecturer must use words that express strong
feelings about that student's assignment.
