Course Description
This course is concerned with theories of testing for language teachers and evaluation of language competence in general, and particularly their application in language teaching as well as development of various forms of language competence test that may be employed for a number of specific purposes.
Learning Objectives
1. To know the concepts and principles of language teaching evaluation 2. To design integrated language tests 3. To internalized the qualities of tests 4. To determine the validity and reliability of language test items 5. To analyze language test items dealing with the four language skills
Course Requirements
The completion of this course requires every student to: 1. Attend at least 80 % of all the classes; 2. Take all the quizzes, presentation, paper writing or chapter report, mid-semester

and final semester examination; 3. Write a language test in the form of objective and essay items for a school final semester examination; and 4. Participate activity in small group or whole class discussions.
Grading System
The final grade for this course is determined on the basis of the scores obtained from: Assignment & presence Mid-Semester Exam Presentation Final Semester Exam Quizzes (20%) Test (20%) Class discussion (30%) Test + (30%)
