If you're feeling anxious about what items to bring with you to college,
don't worry! We have all the bases covered. Below is a comprehensive
list of things to bring to college that helped us feel at ease on our first
day in a new environment and adequately prepared for business
school.

HOSTEL ROOM BASICS:

DRESS CODE FOR THE ACADEMIC BLOCK
• Plain T-shirts/Shirts/Tops/Polo necks/Kurtis (T-shirts with quotes, cold shoulder tops, crop
tops, sheer tops, strappy or tank tops, etc., are not allowed)
• Solid pants/Trousers/Jeans (Torn/ripped jeans, coloured jeans, cargo pants, any trouser
above ankle length, Printed or striped pants, coloured jeggings, etc., are not allowed)
• Palazzos are allowed only with knee length kurtas
• Jeggings can be worn with long tops
• Bathroom slippers are not allowed
PARTY WEAR
• Formal party wear

• Ethnic party wear (You will celebrate almost all your festivals here, be ready)
NIGHTWEAR
• Loose fitting and light material clothing – Cotton shorts, T-shirts are ideal. Anything that
you are comfortable in
SHOES
• Bathroom slippers
• Gym shoes/Football shoes/Sport shoes and socks to go along with them
• Casual footwear (for the campus whereabouts)
• Formal shoes (detailed at the end of document)
• Rainwear – raincoat/jackets
OTHER MISCELLANEOUS
(BUT NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN) ITEMS:

NOTE: Mattresses, pillows, buckets and mugs, mirrors, hangers,


laundry bag, nylon rope, dustbin, broom, doormat, and other
basic items can be purchased directly from the local vendor
which is facilitated by the Student Advisory Council (SAC).

For other essentials, we have a permanent vendor on campus


‘Jaggu Bhaiya’. You may also order from online shopping sites
such as Amazon and Flipkart which delivers products on
campus also.

Also, Goa has a tropical climate so be prepared for hot


summers, mildly cold winters, and a lot of rain!

Reiterating the fact that we are an entirely student-run


campus. So, our clubs and societies are gunning for your talent,
skills, and personality. If there is anything you love doing, carry
along whatever instruments/items you require!
GENERAL GUIDELINES ON DRESS CODE

All students must carry the items mentioned below:

FORMALS

Men

One plain white full-sleeved shirt (No Chinese collar/collarless shirts)


Light-coloured plain full-sleeved shirts to go with the suit (you can
bring 2-3 shirts as per your choice)
Black formal shoes (Oxford shoes with laces with no tapering ends,
non-shiny ones)
Black socks (Full length)
Black formal belt (No shiny buckle)
Dark coloured, simple tie that goes with the suit (avoid shiny ties or
ones with inappropriate designs)

Women

One plain white full-sleeved shirt


Trousers with cuts at the bottom are not allowed
Jeggings & black jeans are not allowed
Light coloured full sleeved shirts to go with the suit (you can bring 2-3
shirts as per your choice)
Black formal bellies with no design/embellishment, should be closed
from the ankle and toes, non-shiny ones
Black formal belt with silver buckle (optional)

Note: These are general guidelines for the type of clothes to be carried
along. Students also have to adhere to their program specific guidelines
strictly mentioned ahead.

LAPTOP SPECIFICATIONS
Laptop with minimum 8 GB RAM and i5 10th generation or higher with
SSD (For BDA where there is the use of AI tools like Python, anaconda,
etc., then 16 GB is a must)
Office 2021
Windows 10 / Windows 11 (only on laptops with TPM version 2.0.)
Education & MS Office LTSC Pro Plus 2021 are offered by the college
Original MS Office is mandatory
If Students are having Original MS OS & MS Office, they need not
purchase Windows and Office but they should be able to provide a
copy of the invoice for the same. The invoice should mention that the
OS & Office are pre-installed along with name of the student, laptop
serial number and product activation keys.
In case student do not have original MS Office, they can buy from the
institute. Charges, if bought from college, will be shared post the
registration.
