 The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India said it has partnered with Karnataka Bank to offer

vehicle financing options for potential car buyers.


 The company said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mangaluru-
headquartered private sector lender.
 Customers can avail the benefits across 858 branches of Karnataka Bank at metro, urban, semi-urban
and rural locations.

Spices Board India under Ministry of Commerce and Industry signed MoU with UNDP India’s Accelerator Lab

 Spices Board India under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and UNDP India’s Accelerator Lab signed
a MoU with the aim to build a blockchain based traceability interface for Indian spices to enhance
transparency in supply chain and trade.
 Blockchain is a decentralized process of recording transactions on an open and shared electronic ledger.
 This allows for ease and transparency in data management across a complex network, including, farmers,

brokers, distributors, processors, retailers, regulators, and consumers, thus simplifying the supply chain.
 It will allow farmers just as all other members of the supply chain to access the information which further
makes the entire supply chain more efficient and equitable.
 UNDP and Spices Board India are working towards integrating the Blockchain Traceability Interface with the

e-Spice Bazaar portal developed by Spices Board India for connecting spices farmers with markets.
 Design of the Blockchain interface is expected to be completed by next month.

Byju’s to acquire Aakash Educational Services for $1 billion

 On April 05,2021, The country’s most valued online education firm, Byju's, acquired Blackstone Group-
backed Aakash Educational Services (AESL) for an estimated $1 billion cash and stock deal.

 Byju’s aims to grow aggressively and bolster its presence across new edtech categories in India.
 Byju’s had acquired Aakash Educational Services Ltd (AESL) for about $1 billion, to enter the competitive
test preparation market, where it competed with Unacademy and Amazon India.

 Unacademy had acquired six test prep platforms, while Amazon India forayed into the segment with Amazon
Academy.

Axis Bank becomes co-promoter of Max Life Insurance

On April 06, 2021, Axis Bank Ltd informed it has become co-promoters of Max Life Insurance Company
Limited, after completion of the acquisition of 12.99% stake collectively by the Axis Entities in the company.
 Axis Bank and its two subsidiaries Axis Capital Limited and Axis Securities Limited will collectively own

12.99% stake in Max Life after the consummation of the deal.


 The Axis Entities have a right to acquire an additional stake of up to 7% in Max Life, in one or more tranches,
subject to regulatory approvals.

 Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) gave its formal approval in February of
2021.

 UNDP and Spices Board India are working towards integrating the Blockchain Traceability Interface with the

the Blockchain interface is expected to be completed by May’21. The project will be piloted with over 3,000

Vedanta signed MoU with research institutes for value-creation from bauxite residue

● Vedanta, India's largest producer of aluminium and its value-added products, has signed a memorandum of

understanding (MoU) for value-creation from bauxite residue (red mud), which is a by-product generated

during processing of bauxite into alumina using the Bayer process.


● Bauxite is the primary ore for aluminium, that undergoes an intermediate refining stage to produce alumina,

which then undergoes electrolysis for producing aluminium.


● Abundantly available on the Earth's crust, mining of bauxite is one of the most inherently sustainable mining
processes.
● Approximately three tonnes of bauxite produce one tonne of alumina, and around two tonnes of alumina are
required to produce one tonne of aluminium.

OneWeb signs MoU with Kazakhstan Government

● The company OneWeb has signed an MoU with the Kazakhstan government and local partners.
● Bharti group-backed low earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications company OneWeb said it has partnered

with the Kazakhstan government to accelerate connectivity in the country.


● OneWeb, a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communications operator, co-owned by Bharti Global and the UK
government, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kazakhstan government and local

 Union Agriculture Ministry has signed an MoU with Microsoft for a pilot project in 100 villages of six states.
 This project will carry out various tasks for the betterment of farmers in the selected villages, which will
enhance their income.
 This will also reduce the input costs for farmers and make farming easy.

 These states are Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.
 Microsoft will develop farmer interface for smart and well-organized agriculture, including post-harvest
management and distribution.
 Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's idea of digital agriculture is

now taking shape.


 He said, since taking over as the Prime Minister in 2014, Mr Modi has laid great emphasis on the use of

modern technologies in farming sector to enhance farmers income.

 He said, the agricultural economy is the backbone of the country and any loss to agriculture is a loss for the
country.
 Mr Tomar said, the agriculture sector has contributed positively to the country's economy even in adverse
conditions like Corona epidemic.

it has signed a MoU with The Oberoi Group to augment its sustainability initiatives.

Flipkart acquired Cleartrip

 Indian e-commerce company, Flipkart announced that it will be acquiring Cleartrip, an online travel
technology company.

 The e-commerce made the announcement that it will acquire 100% of Cleartrip’s shareholding, as the

company further enhances its investments to strengthen its digital commerce offerings for customers.
 Under the terms of the agreement, Cleartrip operations will be acquired by Flipkart.

 However, Cleartrip will continue to operate as a separate brand, retaining all employees while working
closely with Flipkart to further develop technology solutions which will be focused on making travel easier for
customers.
 The deal closing is still subject to applicable regulatory approvals, according to Flipkart.

India and France Inks Agreement for cooperation on Gaganyaan Mission

 Indian space agency, ISRO has signed an agreement with the space agency of France CNES for

cooperation in its first human space mission, Gaganyaan.


 Under the agreement, CNES will provide equipment developed by it, tested and still operating aboard the

International Space Station (ISS) to Indian crews.

 It will also supply fireproof carry bags made in France to shield equipment from shocks and radiation.
 CNES will train Indian flight physicians and CAPCOM mission control teams at French facilities.

 The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) launched the sale of a free trade licence (FTL) 5-kg LPG cylinders

Quess Corporation to acquire 30% stake in Conneqt from Tata Sons for Rs.208 crore

 On April 16, 2021, Quess Corp, a business services platform, will acquire the remaining 30% equity stake in

Conneqt Business Solutions from Tata Sons for Rs.208 crore.


 Conneqt will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quess.
 Quess had acquired 51% of Conneqt in November 2017 and further increased its stake in Conneqt from 51%
to 70% in May 2019 via infusion of primary capital.

 Conneqt is a customer lifecycle management (CLM) and BPM services firm that runs 21 delivery centers and
employs over 29,000 people.

India and Germany sign agreement for Technical Cooperation on Cities combating plastic entering the marine

environment

 The Government of India and Germany have signed an agreement for Technical Cooperation in enhancing
practices to prevent plastic entering the marine environment on April 19, 2021, at a virtual ceremony in New

Delhi.

 The project titled ‘Cities Combating Plastic Entering the Marine Environment’ will be implemented for a
period of three and a half years.

 The outcome of the project is completely in line with the objectives of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban focusing
on sustainable solid waste management and Prime Minister Modi’s vision to phase out single use plastic by
2022.

 The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of

India and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH India on behalf of the
German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.

 It will be undertaken at the national level (at MoHUA), select states (Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Andaman &
Nicobar Islands) and in the cities of Kanpur, Kochi and Port Blair.
Cabinet approved MoU between ICAI and CA ANZ

 The Cabinet approved a fresh Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Institute of Chartered

Accountants of India (ICAI) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, (CA ANZ).
 It intends to develop mutually beneficial relationships in the best interest of members, students and their

organizations and is expected to provide an opportunity to the ICAI members to expand their professional
horizons and to foster working relations between the two accounting institutes.

 The two accountancy institutes will have an opportunity to play the leadership role in addressing new

challenges facing the profession in a globalized environment.


 The engagement between the two Institutes is expected to result in greater employment opportunities for

Indian Chartered Accountants and also greater remittances back to India.

Cabinet nods ex post facto approval to MoU between DG of Trade Remedies, India and the Bangladesh Trade and

Tariff Commission

 The Cabinet gave ex post facto approval to the Memorandum of Understanding MoU between the Director
General of Trade Remedies, India and the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission on the establishment of

a framework of cooperation in the area of trade remedial measures signed on 27th of last month at Dhaka.
 The primary objective of the MoU is to promote cooperation between the two countries in the area of Trade

Remedies, covering the broad activities related to exchange of information, undertaking capacity building
activities and activities in accordance with various provisions of World Trade Organization in the area of anti-

dumping, countervailing and safeguard measures in bilateral trade.

 The MoU seeks to foster better cooperation between the relevant authorities of both the countries so as to
discourage unfair trade practices and promote rule based bilateral trading.

 Public sector lender Indian Bank has entered into a pact with Chennai-based angel investment group ‘The

Assam Govt signs two MOUs with Bhutan & Nagaland

 The Assam Government has signed two MOUs in Guwahati with Bhutan and Nagaland for procurement of

oxygen.
 A new oxygen plant is being set up in Bhutan.
 The Assam government has also come to know of an oxygen plant in Dimapur in Nagaland and both the
states have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

JSW Renew Energy sign pact with SECI for selling 540 MW green energy

 JSW Renew Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Future Energy, has signed agreement with

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to sell 540 MW of the overall awarded capacity of

810 MW.

 JSW Future Energy had won the wind power project by bidding Rs.3 per kwh, sources said.

 JSW Energy marked its entry into the wind power generation sector by winning 810 MW projects in

the auction conducted by SECI in August 2020.

India, UK elevate bilateral ties to adopt comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Roadmap 2030

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his British counterpart Boris Johnson have adopted an ambitious

‘Roadmap 2030’ to elevate bilateral ties to a ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership’.

 The Roadmap will pave the way for a deeper and stronger engagement over the next ten years in

the areas of people to people contacts, trade and economy, defence and security, climate action

and health.

 In a Virtual Summit held, the two leaders discussed the Covid19 situation and ongoing cooperation

in the fight against the pandemic, including the successful partnership on vaccines.

 Prime Minister Modi thanked Prime Minister Johnson for the prompt medical assistance provided by

the UK in the wake of the severe second wave of Covid19 in India.

NDDB sign MoU with EESL to offer energy efficient solutions to dairy industry

 The National Dairy Development Board said it has signed an agreement with Energy Efficiency

Services Ltd (EESL) to promote efficient renewable technologies in the dairy industry.

 The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on May 5 at Ananda, Gujarat by NDDB

Executive Director Meenesh Shah and EESL Director (Projects) Venkatesh Dwivedi in the presence
of senior officials, it said in a statement.

 Under the terms of the agreement, this integrated plant will have a capacity to produce 940,000

tonnes of chlor-alkali, 1.1 million tonnes of ethylene dichloride, and 360,000 tonnes of PVC

annually.

 According to oil sector executives, it would cost upwards of Rs 30,000 crore to set up the

petrochemical facility.

Singapore signs pact with Bhutan

 Singapore has signed an agreement with the Royal Government of Bhutan on the establishment of

Model Technical Training Centres (MTTC) as part of growth between the two countries.

 The agreement was signed by Sonam Tobgay, Director of Bilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign

Affairs of Bhutan, and Simon Wong, Ambassador of Singapore to Bhutan.

 It is seen as one of the outcomes of Bhutan’s opening up to the outside world.

 India with whom Bhutan has a special relationship has warm ties with Singapore with the city state

setting up vocational training institutes for Indian youth in places like Rajasthan and Assam in recent

 The Central Reserve Police Force, CRPF has signed a MoU with Centre for Development of

 The Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with Yatra.Com to

strengthen the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

 The primary objective of this MoU is to provide extensive visibility to accommodation units, which

have self-certified themselves on System for Assessment, Awareness and Training for the

Hospitality Industry- SAATHI on the OTA platform.

 The MoU also outlines both parties to encourage Units to register on NIDHI and thereby on SAATHI

and encourage local tourism Industry with appropriate safeguards for curbing spread of COVID-19.

 The Tourism Ministry in a statement mentioned that the idea is also to gather more information on

HEP.

 The project will have four francis type turbines.

 On completion the Project will generate 2970 million units of electricity per annum.

 It is scheduled to be completed in four years after commencement of construction activities and has

been allocated to SJVN for 25 years on Build Own Operate Transfer basis.

Cabinet approves MoU between India and Denmark for cooperation in health and medicine

 The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Memorandum of

Understanding (MoU) between India and Denmark in the field of health and Medicine.

 An official release stated that the bilateral MoU will encourage cooperation between India’s Ministry

of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Health Ministry of Denmark through joint initiatives

and technology development in the health sector.

 The winning NGS technology has had, and continues to have, a huge transformative impact in the

 A tripartite MoU has been signed between Ladakh and SSOCA regarding the implementation of

Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana and Mission Organic Development Initiative (MODI) in the

Ladakh region with the aim to convert Ladakh into an organic entity by 2025.

 The main objective of this MoU is to get the organic certification after a tie-up with the Centre.

 Ladakh Agriculture Secretary Ravinder Kumar stated that the aim is to make Ladakh a certified

organic UT by 2025 which will be completed in three phases.

 He mentioned that for organic certification the department has divided Ladakh into 3-phases.

 In the first phase, 85 villages have been identified with an aim to convert 5000 hectares of land into

organic and in the 2nd phase, 82 villages will be covered with an area of 10,000 hectares and under

the 3rd phase, the department has selected 79 villages which will cover the remaining areas.

 Sikkim is the first state that is 100 percent organic with all of its farmland certified organic.

IAHE inks pact with University of New South Wales

 The Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (IAHE), under the Ministry of Road Transport &

Highways (MORTH), has signed an Agreement with University of New South Wales (UNSW),

Australia for setting up a Centre for Advanced Transportation Technology and Systems (CATTS) at

IAHE, Noida.

 The Agreement is for a project for capacity building, technology transfer and creation of an enabling

environment for establishment of CATTS in IAHE.


 The UNSW will also deliver a course, certified by it, on smart transport systems and modelling.

Gujarat institute signed MoU for Cambodian police training

 The University of Rashtryaraksha (RRU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat has an agreement with the

Cambodian Police Academy (PAC) to support police training and capacity building.

 RRU, an in-house security education institution, supports technology and research in the areas of

 The Union Cabinet approved a pact between India and Russia regarding cooperation on coking

coal, a key steel making raw material, for which domestic players remain dependent on imports

 Around 85 per cent of India's coking coal demand is met through imports.

 The cooperation with Russia will help India reduce its dependence on far-located countries like

Australia, South Africa, Canada and the US for sourcing of coking coal.

 It will also reduce per-tonne cost of steel production, as Russia is geographically closer compared

to the stated countries.

 The objective of the MoU is to strengthen cooperation between India and Russia in the steel sector.

 The activities involved in the cooperation are aimed at diversifying the source of coking coal.

 The Indian Government will soon sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh to

export 10 lakh bales of cotton every year.

 Hyderabad-based missile and ammunition manufacturers Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) signed a

 India has emphasized the implementation of the recently-signed memorandum of understanding

(MoU) with Bangladesh over disaster management, resilience and mitigation on a priority basis.

 “We must implement the recently-concluded MoU in the field of disaster management, resilience

and mitigation on a priority basis”.

 Bangladesh and India signed a number of MoUs to enhance cooperation in various sectors,

 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has recently announced that the government has signed a MoU

between the Delhi Board of School Education and International Baccalaureate (IB), paving the way

for students from government schools to access educational facilities of the highest level.

 CM Kejriwal stated the International Baccalaureate board is present all over the world and that it is

every parent's dream to send their children to IB-affiliated schools.

Ramadass and the US Assistant Administrator for Research and Acting Chief Scientist Craig

McLean of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

 The two bodies would enhance technical cooperation in the development of the Research Moored

Array for African-Asian-Australian Monsoon Analysis and Prediction (RAMA) and the Ocean

Moored buoy Network in the northern Indian ocean (OMNI) for improving weather and monsoon

forecasts between NOAA and India's Ministry of Earth Sciences.

 The agreement is a follow up to the memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of

Earth Sciences and NOAA last October for Technical Cooperation in Earth Observations and Earth

Sciences.

Indian Bank signs MoU with Paralympic Committee

 Public sector Indian Bank stated it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with

Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) as one of the banking partners of the Paralympic Games

scheduled to commence from August 24 in Tokyo, Japan.

Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming are scheduled to attend the MoU signing ceremony in Dhaka.

 Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen has stated that the MoU will be signed between the Chinese

company Sinopharm and the local company Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

 He informed Incepta will bring in the material in bulk from China and undertake the bottling, labeling

and finishing of the vaccine locally which will make the price relatively cheap.

 Earlier, a consignment of 1 million doses of the Sinovac COVID vaccine gifted by China arrived in

Bangladesh.

 This was the fourth consignment of the Sinovac vaccine from China received by Bangladesh.

 Bangladesh has fully vaccinated over 5.22 million people with both doses of the COVID 19 vaccine

while more than 15.31 million people have received one dose of the vaccine till 12 August.

 The MoU seeks to put in place a system so that both the countries benefit from the Disaster

Management mechanisms of each other.

UK to start negotiations for trade agreement with India

 The UK government is looking at wrapping up a quick “interim” trade deal with India, which could

see tariffs slashed on products like Scotch whisky before a full agreement is in place.

 The Department for International Trade (DIT) is looking to start formal negotiations with India before

the end of this year, after an initial consultation period finishes in two weeks’ time.

 Britain will try to strike an interim agreement that would allow for free trade between the two

countries under the terms of a World Trade Organization charter.

 Indian producers of things like rice could get greater access to the UK market under the interim

 The Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MakeMyTrip

(India) Private Limited and Ibibo Group Private Limited as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen

the hospitality and tourism industry in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic.

offer services similar to those given by CSCs through the Digital Seva Portal.

 “For enabling FPSs to work as a CSC Service Centre, CSC has been advised to identify feasible

activities like utility bill payments, PAN application, passport application, Election Commission

Services etc. to facilitate the consumer and simultaneously provide additional income to the FPSs”.

 CSC will tie up with the individual State Government for signing up of bilateral MoUs for providing

interested FPS dealers access to Digital Seva Portal (DSP) for delivery of CSC services.

 CSC has also committed to undertake sharing of technical know-how and capacity building.

 The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY)National e-Governance Division

(NeGD) signed a memorandum of understanding with National Law University, Delhi and National

Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Gulmi, Gorkha and Kavre districts.

 They were signed by both sides in the presence of Karun Bansal, First Secretary (Development

Partnership and Reconstruction) of the Indian mission and Shyam Kishore Singh, Project Director,

CLPIU (Building), Nepal.

India and US signed Project Agreement

 India and the US have inked an agreement for cooperation in the development of air-launched

unmanned aerial vehicles (ALUAVs), which could in the future lead to joint manufacture of artificial

intelligence-enabled drone swarms capable of being launched from aircraft to overwhelm an

adversary’s air defence systems.

 The two countries will work to co-develop the ALUAVprototype at an initial cost of $11 million each
(total $22 million) under the overall framework of the bilateral Defence Technology and Trade

Initiative (DTTI), which has largely failed to deliver the goods since being launched in 2012.

(CMD)Pradip Kumar Das and TANGEDCO CMD Rajesh Lakhoni in the presence of Tamil Nadu

Chief Minister M K Stalin.

 Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (IREDA) stated ''it has signed aMoU with the

Tamil Nadu Generation & Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), for providing its technical

expertise in developing Renewable Energy projects and fund raising.''

 Under the MoU, IREDA will extend its technical expertise to TANGEDCO for renewable energy

project development, bid process management, and implementation support.

 IREDA will also assist TANGEDCO in debt raising through developing financial models,

underwriting services for the proposed debt requirement, and conducting pre-market surveys and

road shows to generate interest amongst prospective investors.

 The Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a pact for providing reliable and sustainable power

supply to security forces operating in remote, Naxal-affected and high-altitude areas.

 The MoU between the Navratna PSU BEL and the SFC Energy-AG, Germany, and FC TecNrgy Pvt

Ltd (FCTec), signed recently will ensure cooperation in addressing the emerging requirement of
sustainable energy to the security forces through supply of hydrogen and fuel cells.

All India Institute of Ayurveda signed MoU with Western Sydney University to appoint Ayurveda Chair

 All India Institute of Ayurveda under Ministry of Ayush has signed a Memorandum of

Understanding, MoU in coordination with Western Sydney University Australia, in virtual mode to

appoint an Academic Chair in Ayurveda.


 The MoU was signed by Professor Tanuja Nesari, Director, All India Institute of Ayurveda and

Vice-Chancellor and President, Western Sydney University, Australia, Professor Barney Glover.

 The new Academic Chair will undertake academic and collaborative research activities in

Ayurveda.

 It includes herbal medicine and yoga as well as design academic standards and short -term and

medium-term courses and educational guidelines.

 This Chair will also conduct workshops,seminars and conferences on Ayurveda.

 The Ayurveda Academic Chair will be based at Western Sydney University’s NICM Health

Research Institute, located on the West mead campus, with tenure for a period of three years.

 The appointment of the chair is jointly funded by the Ministry of Ayush and Western Sydney

University and anticipated to commence early in 2022.


Coal India Ltd inks MoU with Dept of Sports for betterment of sports infrastructure

 Coal India Limited has signed an MoU with Department of Sports in New Delhi for betterment of

sports infrastructure in the country.

 Under the MoU, Coal India Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility program will

contribute 75 crore rupees towards the National Sports Development Fund.

 The fund will be used for construction of three large hostels meant for sports persons.

 These hostels will be constructed at Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Gwalior

and Sports Authority of India’s centres at Bhopal and Bengaluru with a combined capacity of 350

sports persons.

 The initiative is seen as a significant step towards reaping the sports atmosphere created through

recent success in Olympics and Paralympics where India finished with the best ever medal tally.

 The MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of Youth Affairs and Sports Min ister Anurag

Thakur and Coal Secretary, Dr. Anil Kumar Jain.

 Coal Ministry stated, these hostels will benefit talented athletes directly by creating a conducive

eco-system through focused training under national level coaches.

 The project will be completed by 2023 for which Coal India Limited has already released 25 crore

rupees.

India jointly with Denmark to launch Centre of Excellence on Offshore Wind

 Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy R. K. Singh met Denmark’s Minister for

Climate, Energy and Utilities Dan Jørgensen in New Delhi.

 Mr Singh underlined to the Danish side that energy transition towards green is an important part of

India’s policy.

 He pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech has set a target

of 450 Giga Watt of Renewable Energy capacity by 2030.

 The Minister went on to say that India’s whole renewable energy portfolio is already at 146 GW.

 He stated that India is the only G-20 country whose actions are in consonance with the Paris

Climate agreement with regard to global rise in temperature.

 Discussing the potential of green energy, the Minister said that India is looking at making Ladakh

and islands such as Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep green in energy including transport.

 The two Ministers jointly launched ‘Centre of Excellence on Offshore Wind’ as part of the Green
Strategic Partnership.

company to formally enter into an agreement with ISRO and is set to benefit from the latter’s

expertise and access facilities to test and qualify its small rocket ahead of launch next year.

 The agreement was signed by R Umamaheswaran, scientific secretary at ISRO and chairman at

Interim IN-SPACe Committee, and Pawan Chandana, CEO of Skyroot Aerospace.

 “The Framework MoU will allow the company to undertakemultiple tests and access facilities at

various ISRO centers and avail the technical expertise of ISRO for testing and qualifying their

Space launch vehicle systems and subsystems”.
