Workflow

1. Open RAW file in Adobe Camera Raw and adjust temperature, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, vibrance, and saturation as needed. 2. Apply noise reduction and sharpening filters, adjusting amounts, radii, and other settings based on the image. 3. Use additional adjustments like levels, exposure, selective color, and sharpening filters to further enhance the image, then crop and save the photo in JPEG format.

Workflow for photo processing in Photoshop (Latest or CS6 version)

 Should have Adobe Raw latest version loaded


 Should have Neatimage plug-in version loaded (32 or 64 bit as per your System)
 It is your choice to crop the pic in Adobe Raw or in Photoshop. Cropping before reduced some
sharpness. I normally do it in the end
1. Open RAW file in Adobe Raw
a. Check the temperature and increase little bit to add warmth
b. Adjust Exposure to keep the pic bright enough
c. Increase contrast by 15 to 25 as per the pic
d. Move Highlight tab to extreme left to 100
e. Adjust Shadows if needed, by 40 to 100% as per the pic, especially if the pic is taken in
low lights or in shadows
f. If the object has white, increase white and shift Black tab to left to give additional punch
to image
g. Adjust Clarity tab by 15 to 20 to bring out more details
h. Adjust Vibrance tab by 20 to 30 to make pic more vibrant
i. Adjust Saturation, if needed, by 9 to 15 to make colours bright
2. Click the Detail tab,  symbol,…
a. Adjust Amount by 60 to 80, extreme cases to 100
b. Don’t change Radius, default is 1
c. Adjust Detail to 100
d. Adjust Masking to 15 (vary between 10 to 20)
e. Noise Reduction…Luminance to 20-25, Luminance detail to 50, Luminance contrast to 30
odd, Colour to 25 and colour detail to 50
3. Click the button Lens Correction
a. Tick mark the square and enable lens profile correction, setup to Default and Select the
Lens Profile. It will correct any problem if any, don’t change any values given below for
Correction Amount
4. Click on Open Image, It will open in Photoshop
5. Go to tab Image > Adjustments > Levels
a. Check left and right sides on Histogram….Adjust looking at the pic for darkness and
brightness
b. Image > Adjustments > Exposure…do some Gama correction to get more punch in image
to 95 to 97
c. Image > Adjustments > Vibrance…Increase Vibrance or Saturation as per the pic
d. Image > Adjustments > Selective Colour…Add some black, magenta and yellow of pic has
these colours….add blue if needed, Black gives more punch
e. In case you still have the object in darkness or shadows, adjust the Shadows by 5 to 15
as per the pic
6. Go to tab Fliter
a. Go to Noise tab
i. Just click on Despeckle, Dust & Scartches and Median. Click on ok to all default
values
b. Go to Sharpen Tab, select default values
i. Click on Sharpen or More Sharpen button to sharpen the pic
ii. Click on Sharpen Edges
iii. Click on Smart Sharpen, values to Amount by 50 to 80, Radius 0.3, remove lens
blurr, if object was moving then Motion Blur
c. Do not reduce noise directly
i. Select the Object body by Quick Selection Tool by brush
ii. Go to Select tab…choose Inverse
iii. Then go to Filter > Noise > Reduce Noise…keep the Strength to values by 5 to 7,
Preserve details to 20 to 40, Reduce colour noise by 50 to 70, Sharpen details to
25 and say OK
iv. If Neatimage plug-in at the end of Filter tab….Select Auto profile, it will give one
blue square, click on Noise Filter Settings…to begin with accept the standard
values. If needed change values of each slider to reduce more noise in the image
d. Click on the Crop…select the frame you want and crop the pic. Mostly vertical frames
are good. But you can decide based on the subject
7. You are done now….save the image as jpeg….select the Quality value as 12….high size and save
it
8. In case you want light size image you can reduce the strength of Quality Value to reduce the size
