Task 1

The document describes a model of communication used in a psychology therapy session between a patient and psychologist. The model involves two participants who switch between the roles of sender and receiver as they exchange messages. It is interactive with feedback that allows it to be a two-way process. The context includes both physical settings and psychological factors that can influence communication.

Purposive Communication
Task #1

According to the interactive or interaction model communication,

communication is a process in which individuals switch between the Sender
and the receiver and create meaning by exchanging messages and getting
feedback concerning external and internal circumstances (Schramm, 1997).

The Psychologist-Therapy Interactive Session Model has two sender-

receivers who exchange messages as opposed to one sender, one message,
and one receiver. To maintain communication- each participant should
switch between the sender and receiver roles. It also includes feedback
which transforms communication into a more engaging, two-way process
rather than depicting it as a linear, one-way process. Messages given in
response to other messages are considered feedback. The model has an
interactive approach and likewise emphasizes interaction and less on
messages. The interactive model is more interested in the communication
process itself. As a result, in this paradigm, effective communication is not
determined by whether or not a single message was successfully sent and
received.

The interactive model considers both the physical and psychological

surroundings. The environmental aspects of a communication interaction are
included in the physical context. For instance, just as the design and
interface of a digital tool can affect digital communication, so can the size,
layout, temperature, and lighting of a room. It's crucial to consider the impact
that physical context plays in our communication, whether it be the size
of the space or other environmental aspects. The mental and emotional
components of a communication interaction are included in the psychological
context. Emotions, stress, and worry are just a few examples where
psychological factors that might influence how we communicate. Even
psychological conditions that appear to be favorable, such as falling in love,
might harm communication. The interaction model becomes a more accurate
representation of the communication process with feedback and context.

My future dream job is to become a Psychologist which the role of this job is
aspired to comprehend and justify your thoughts, feelings, and actions. A
psychologist creates hypotheses about the thoughts and emotions that affect
people through observation, evaluation, and experimentation.

The process communication in my future workplace would be the same

as the said model that starts with the Sender (the Psychologist) encoding
message through face-to-face interaction (which is also the channel), where
the Psychologist asks questions regarding the Patient's life. ( Serves the
Message of the Sender). The Receiver (the Patient) receives the message or
question and decodes it, turning the communication into thoughts. After
receiving the message and encoding the message. The noise in
this is that the Patient’s belief because he don’t believe that Therapy will help
him. He responds h i s b e l i e f and signals to the Sender, which serves
as Feedback on the conversation. The communication will be interactive
because the Sender and Receiver can switch roles and this will be also
interpersonal because it is a communication between people.

Communication is relevant, especially in my future job and workplace. In

psychology, as we talk, we create deeper relationships and understand
ourselves fully, which improves us. The essence of communication in our
life is that we use it to express our feelings, pass information, and share
information. It facilitates communication and idea sharing amongst people.
Information is clarified through effective communication, saving time. It
aids in fostering connections, cooperation, and trust. It also develops your
knowledge foundation, which aids in the improvement of your life
decisions.
