FS 2 Activity 3
FS 2 Activity 3
FIELD STUDY 2
At the end of this activity, the FS student must be able to achieve the following intended learning outcomes:
1. explain the components of learning management plan and its importance;
2. identify the best practices in creating effective learning management plan; and
3. promote behavioral, social and academic success in a structured environment that caters to tolerance,
exemplary behavior and learning.
Classroom management or meeting the needs of students can be one of the crucial parts of teaching-learning
process. However, it is the key component in any educational setting. If students are safe in a learning environment, then
teaching-learning process can take place. This activity focuses on creating a classroom routine that will make teachers and
students more productive. As a pre-service teacher, you should be committed in making classroom a safe and challenging
environment, engaging your students through the curriculum, as well as getting to know them and interacting with each other.
You should develop a democratic and equitable learning environment so that students can learn effectively.
Direction: Read the following instruction below before doing the indicated tasks.
1. Conduct interview with a teacher regarding best practices about effective learning management plan.
2. Observe etiquette during the interview process.
3. Always follow the minimum health safety protocol.
FIELD STUDY 2
Attach on the specified area the interview result or data gathered from the teacher.
FIELD STUDY 2
1. Based on the result/data of your interview, are you going to apply or adapt those best practices? Justify
your answer.
YES, because it is crucial that teachers should know the effective classroom design, rules and discipline,
scheduling and organization, instructional techniques and good communication. It enables us to do our work
effectively, producing favorable outcomes for students. Another advantage is that our students can look up to us as
a role model for developing good skills, which are crucial for growth and future learning.
FIELD STUDY 2
1. What is the set of ideals, values, beliefs, and goals on learning management plan?
Students don’t thrive amid chaos. They need some basic structure—and consistency—to feel safe and to focus.
Effective learning management plan requires awareness, patience, good timing, boundaries, and instinct. Leading a
large group of children who are prone to distraction and have a range of abilities and temperaments on an engaging
learning trip is not simple. Creating positive student-teacher interactions is crucial to a vibrant classroom
environment and even helps students achieve academic success.
2. What criteria and/or standards will you set to judge the quality of the classroom learning environment?
Safety
Students must feel physically and psychologically protected before they can succeed academically. Safety
goes beyond a student's physical health. Students must experience a sense of inclusion, support, and
respect in order to have a safe learning environment. However, codes of behavior and school punishment
procedures don't necessarily provide a supportive learning environment.
Engagement
With a focus on the needs and strengths of each individual student, this method of teaching engages pupils
in rigorous, standards-based academic material. Students who receive individualized instruction are better
able to think critically, use knowledge and information to solve complicated issues, collaborate,
communicate clearly, learn how to study, and adopt academic mindsets.
Connectedness
Students must feel connected to teachers, staff, and other students. Schools can nurture these connections
by focusing on students’ social and emotional learning. Students who are more connected are better able
to comprehend and control their emotions, engage with others, and develop the required conflict-resolution
and communication skills.
Support
All those involved in their educational experience must make students feel supported. This includes
professors, students, staff, relatives, and neighbors. In order to collaborate on achieving this shared
objective, these parties need have a shared knowledge of what a supportive learning environment in the
classroom and at the school looks like.
FIELD STUDY 2
How will you design your classroom to create an appropriate and effective learning environment? Illustrate and justify your design.
Students need to feel secure, involved, connected, and encouraged in order to learn in their
classes and schools. The components of a effective learning environment is that children can
directly experience are known as the "conditions for learning." In this, it assist pupils in achieving
academic success and are linked to better grades and test scores, high attendance rates,
constructive interactions with adults and peers, and little involvement in risky behavior.
However, external factors, like the fatal shootings this summer and fall, as well as internal factors,
like the exclusionary disciplinary practices that disproportionately affect students of color, students
with disabilities, and English language learners, can undermine the efforts made by teachers and
school staff to establish the learning environments required for students to thrive. Violence
exposure, in particular, has an impact on communities as well as the victims' families and friends,
ultimately having an effect on specific students.
In order to create a learning environment in the classroom that promotes student success,
teachers are a crucial component. Yet many pupils lack access to qualified and efficient teachers,
especially students of color and those from low-income households. To foster a pleasant learning
environment in the classroom, educators and administrators must have access to professional
development opportunities and training.
FIELD STUDY 2
1. What classroom rules and procedures will you formulate to ensure discipline and order in your class? How
will you ensure safety and security of your students?
The rules and procedures of the classroom are suggested by the students, and the instructor can assist
redefine them by giving examples or by using simple language. I shall seek the administration of my school's
cooperation regarding the written rules for the classroom. Each student's parent will receive a final written copy of
the classroom rule along with a letter outlining the specifics. This is done to let kids know that their parents have
rules and expectations for them, and to ask for their compliance.
To help my students succeed, I set specific objectives. It ought to encourage students to work together as a
team. It is only right to inform them about expectations. As soon as my rule goes into force, I will also explain the
consequences. This is done to help my students develop responsibility. Given that the rules and consequences are
known to all students in the classroom, they will learn to accept responsibility for their actions and the decisions
they make. Students will have the chance to participate in the democratic process that will define the regulations.
