Lago de Coatepeque

We are talking about a beautiful lake of volcanic origin, in recent years the lake has
changed its color to turquoise at certain times of the year. It is frequently visited and not
only by tourists but also by locals who have properties around the lake, it is a very nice
place to spend time with family and friends, you can do many things such as visiting a
hotel, or eating in one of the restaurants in the area, among other things.

Playa El Tunco – Tunco Beach

El Tunco beach is one of the most visited and favorite places for most salvadorans, it is
one of the most popular beaches in El Salvador since surfing on this beach is quite
famous worldwide. In this place there are many places to explore such as the restaurants
that are located on the seashore and their respective hotels. If you are looking for a
nightlife in El Tunco, we recommend the restaurant and hotel Monkeylala, Blú, y la
guitarra. They are very beautiful places to have good experiences and spend time with
family and friends.

Ruta de las Flores

On this walk you can see the green landscapes and different colors, coffee plantations
and of course the cool and pleasant climate will never be lacking. The tour consists of
visiting 5 towns which are close to each other. You will meet, Nahuizalco, which is
famous for its handicrafts and for being the most significant indigenous center in the
country. Then Salcoatitán, where you will find two beautiful churches and one of the
oldest ceiba trees that you will ever see. Your next stop will be Juayua, where
gastronomic festivals are quite an attraction. Apaneca will be your next destination,
where I recommend the Jardín de Celeste restaurant and where you can visit the largest
labyrinth in Central America called "El Laberinto de Albania". To close with a flourish you
will go to Concepción de Ataco. This last town is the most famous, where you cannot
miss the murals present in the main streets.
EL BOQUERON
El Boquerón is a protected natural area located at the top of the San Salvador volcano at
1800 meters above sea level. The main attraction of the park is the crater, 1.5 kilometers
in diameter and 558 meters deep. In addition there is a small crater in the main crater
called "Boqueroncito" (in reference to the Boquerón crater). El Boquerón has a cool
temperate climate throughout the year. The park is home to many species of plants
identified as ornamental plants, such as "Cartridges", hydrangeas, begonias, among
others. There is wildlife, such as armadillos, raccoons, deer, foxes, among others. It is an
ideal place for nature lovers.

La Puerta del Diablo

It is located on El Chulo hill, 13 kilometers south of the city of San Salvador and also
close to Balboa Park, in Los Planes de Renderos there are two high rocks that form a kind
of arch that serve as a stage for "La Puerta del Diablo", this is one of the most visited
places by salvadorans about which many interesting myths and legends have been
written. It is a place to come with family and friends to enjoy this incredible experience.

Lago de Ilopango
It is located minutes from the capital of El Salvador, this place is the largest lake in the
country. The lake is of volcanic origin, apart from that, it is also ideal for carrying out
certain activities with family or friends, for example diving, paddle surfing, kayaking, jet

as a family to have an experience that is both fun and educational.

Cerro El Pital
This is a place full of vegetation as a consequence of the cold climate found there, this
place offers beautiful and colorful landscapes. You can carry out different activities such
as camping, observation of flora and fauna, hiking through the different trails that are in
the area. A curious fact is that the camping area is located between the two peaks of the
mountain, so a wind corridor is formed with a pleasant mist that will accompany you
during your stay in this beautiful place.

Volcan de Santa Ana-

Ilamatepec
The top of the Ilamatepec volcano. Also called Santa Ana volcano. If you manage to
reach the highest part of the place you will have the most impressive view of the entire
area, in the background you can see the turquoise waters of the majestic Lake
Coatepeque. The volcano is located in the department of Santa Ana, has an altitude of
2,381 meters above sea level, being the highest volcano in El Salvador.

Parque Arqueologico El Tazumal

The tazumal. This park or tourist place as it is now was the scene of an important and
sophisticated Mayan settlement that existed around the years 100 and 1200 AD. After a
long occupation, the site was abandoned around 1200 AD and is now one of the
treasures full of history. It is a very nice place to come to visit and learn a little more
about the history of places like these, since they are all over the country.

Puerto de La Libertad
La Libertad is undoubtedly the most emblematic surfing beach in the entire country, as
well as the most central tourist city on the coast of El Salvador. Its quick access to the
capital city, as well as the airport make it a strategic location of high tourist attraction.
Being a municipality, La Libertad has restaurants, banks, supermarkets, exchange
houses, and commercial establishments of all kinds, as well as several hotels. This beach
is home to the most emblematic wave in the country, Punta Chilama, known abroad as
Punta Roca and considered one of the top 10 waves in the world.

Los Chorros
This destination with natural spring waters coming from volcanic slopes is an excellent
option to relax and enjoy with your family and friends. This place is a tourist icon of El
Salvador, which since 1957 has become a favorite destination for its natural and
historical value and its refreshing pools. It has 12 blocks of land, four natural water
pools, a 5-meter slide , water games for children and a natural environment that will
make you fall in love.

It is the first hot spring tourist park in El Salvador. It is a 14-block recreational complex,
where you can enjoy sports courts, large gardens, ample areas to rest, and horseback
riding, all of the above added to its main attraction, which are the hot springs. It is also
called this way because these births are the underground drainage that the Coatepeque
lake has, its temperature ranges between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius, it also has a variety
of vegetation in its facilities which makes it a Tropical Paradise serving tourists from the
year 1999.
Amapulapa
It is found in its soil of volcanic origin dominated by ashes and lava in which many
springs of water emerge from which the area is nourished. The flora is characterized by
the giant and beautiful Amates that provide thick foliage and which embellish the place.
