and services for the local market.
Ever since Energypac started its venture in 1982, it has grown to become the largest Power
Engineering Company in Bangladesh and is in fact emerging as a first-choice global supplier of
electrical equipment. They are the country leader in providing end-to-end power solutions for
over three decades. It is a member of Energypac Group, a Bangladeshi multinational
conglomerate comprised of 10 companies. With years of expertise, state-of-the-art
manufacturing technology, and testing facilities, Energypac produces a wide range of power
products for power generation, transmission, distribution systems, infrastructure, industry unit
& commercial building. They have international trade operations, production sites, and design
operations in different countries.

Recently Energypac is mainly focusing on LED bulbs and switchgear which has numerous
demands in the market. Both LED bulbs and switchgear has high growth and market share.
Here, we can see, switchgear’s growth rate is at higher level in all industrial, residential and
commercial area.

Previously, Energypac was focusing on producing CFL bulb but as recently consumer is more
environment conscious so, current sales of LED bulbs are skyscraper.
QUESTION MARK:
In this segment we keep ceiling fan and wiring accessories as they consume plethora of cash
but bring little in return. But these units are growing rapidly, have potential to turn into stars in
a high growth market. We can put them in EPC (Engineering, procurement and construction)
segment and in this segment their revenue is around 1,072,548,617.
CASH COWS:
G-gas, JAC both are market leader of Energypac, these units have a high market share and
generate more cash than it consumes. It has low growth prospect. These two covers the
administrative costs of the company. JAC is in MVD (motor vehicle division) segment which
revenue is around 1,106,040,973. G-gas is in LPG segment which revenue is around
4,050,034,550.
DOGS:
LiftsAll-elevator, EPVL-powerplant, Steelpac, JCB all are in dog segment as they have low market
share and growth rate They frequently break, neither earning nor consuming a great deal of
cash. We can put Steelpac, JCB, LiftsAll-elevator all are in BMD (Building material division) which
revenue is around 352,941,835. We can put EPVL-powerplant in PED segment which has around
628,713,313 revenue.
