SYSTEM

1. DESCRIPTION OF THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

ROOM AIR IS SUCKED BY RETURN AIR FAN THROUGH AUTOMATIC


ROTARY AIR FILTER. ROTARY AIR FILTER CATCHES DUST AND DROP IT
AUTOMATICALLY BY EVACUATION FAN TO DUST COLLECTOR.
OUTSIDE AIR AND RETURN AIR IS SUCKED BY SUPPLY AIR FAN THROUGH AIR
WASHER AND BLOW IT INTO CONDITION ROOM. IN WASHER, AIR IS COOLED
BY USING CHILLED WATER. IT ALSO RAISES AIR HUMIDITY UP TO NEAR 100%,
BEFORE SUCKED BY SUPPLY AIR FAN.

2. DESCRIPTION OF AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEM

2.1 TEMPERATURE CONTROL


TEMPERATURE SENSOR IS AT WASHER OUTLET SIDE. IT MEASURES AIR
DEW-POINT TEMPERATURE & TRANSMITS IT TO TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER.
THE CONTROLLER COMPARES SENSOR AND SET POINT VALUE
AND OUTPUT SIGNAL TO ACTUATE CHILLED WATER VALVE.
THE VALVE ADJUSTS CHILLED WATER CAPACITY.
THIS WATER CAPACITY DETERMINES TEMPERATURE OF SPRAY WATER & AIR.

2.2 HUMIDITY CONTROL


ROOM HUMIDITY SENSOR IS IN CONDITION ROOM, MEASURES ROOM AIR
HUMIDITY AND TRANSMITS IT TO HUMIDITY CONTROLLER.
HUMIDITY CONTROLLER COMPARES SENSOR AND SET POINT VALUE AND
OUTPUT SIGNAL TO ACTUATE BY-PASS AIR DAMPER.
DAMPER OPENING DETERMINES CAPACITY OF BY-PASS AIR THAT MIXES WITH
WASHER AIR AND IT WILL EFFECT TO SUPPLY AIR & ROOM AIR HUMIDITY.

2.3 ENTHALPY CONTROL


RETURN AIR TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY SENSOR ARE LOCATED AT INLET
SIDE OF RETURN AIR DAMPER. OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY
SENSOR ARE LOCATED AT INLET SIDE OF OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER. THOSE
SENSORS MEASURE TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY AT EACH POINT & TRANSMIT
IT TO ENTHALPY CONTROLLER. ACCORDING TO THE TEMP. & HUMIDITY
VALUE, CONTROLLER WILL COMPARE ENTHALPY BETWEEN RETURN &
OUTSIDE AIR. IF RETURN AIR ENTHALPY IS LOWER THAN OUTSIDE AIR,
OUTSIDE AIR DAMPER & EXHAUST AIR DAMPER WILL BE CLOSED. THIS
CONDITION WILL MAKE RETURN AIR GOES TO WASHER THROUGH OPENED
RETURN AIR DAMPER. ON CONTRARY, IF RETURN AIR HAS HIGHER
ENTHALPY THAN OUTSIDE AIR, THEN RETURN AIR WILL EXHAUSTED
THROUGH EXHAUST AIR DAMPER. OUTSIDE AIR WILL GO INTO AIR WASHER.
THIS ARRANGEMENT WILL SAVE COOLING CAPACITY OF CHILLER

3. DESCRIPTION OF STARTING AND SHUTTING DOWN AIR CONDITION SYSTEM

3.1 STARTING AIR CONDITION SYSTEM


AFTER CHECK ALL EQUIPMENT AND SWITCH BOARD ( REFER TO EACH EQUIP
MENT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION ), TURN ON MAIN SWITCH.
THEN AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEM WILL START.
ACCORDING TO ORDER " AIR FILTER, SUPPLY AIR FAN, RETURN AIR FAN,
WASHER WATER PUMP ", START EACH EQUIPMENT SEQUENTIALLY.

3.2 SHUTTING DOWN AIR CONDITION SYSTEM


SHUT DOWN WHOLE SYSTEM REGULARLY OR URGENTLY BY MAIN
SWITCH TURN OFF ONLY.

ROTARY AIR FILTER

1. OPERATION INSTRUCTION OF AUTOMATIC ROTARY AIR FILTER

THE AIR INCL. DUST & FIBER PASSING THROUGH FILTER DRUM FROM OUTSIDE
OF DRUM. DRUM IS COVERED WITH "SAMTEN" FILTER SCREEN IN ORDER TO
CATCH FIBER & DUST. AT EACH DRUM SECTION THERE IS ONE SUCTION
NOZZLE. FILTER DRUM CONTINUOUSLY ROTARES AND SUCTION NOZZLE
RECIPROCALLY MOVING. EVACUATION FAN GIVES SUCTION AIR PRESSURE AT
NOZZLE TO SUCK FIBER & DUST FROM FILTER SCREEN TO DUST COLLECTOR.

2. CONSTRUCTION OF AUTOMATIC ROTARY AIR FILTER


( DRAWING RAF-ASS1, RAF-ASS2 AND RAF-ASS3 )

2.1 FILTER DRUM


FILTER DRUM IS ROTARED BY GEAR MOTOR THROUGH DRIVER, ADJUSTER
AND PULLEY BELT.

2.2 SUCTION NOZZLE DRIVE BOX


TRANSFER GEAR BOX CONNECTS FILTER DRUM SHAFT WITH CHAIN AND
DRIVEN BY DRUM SHAFT. TRANSFER GEAR BOX RE-DRIVES NOZZLE HANGER
CAR RECIPROCALLY THAT IS MOVED ALSO BY CHAIN. BOTH CHAIN CONNECT
WITH ADJUSTER CHAIN WHEEL.

2.3 SUCTION NOZZLE


SUCTION NOZZLE IS CARRIED BY HANGER CAR. IT CONNECTS WITH ROTARY
JOINT, FLEXIBLE RUBBER HOSE AND EVACUATION PIPE TO EVACUATION FAN.

2.4 REMOVE SWITCH


BESIDE SWITCHBOARD PANEL SWITCH, THERE IS ALSO REMOVE SWITCH
THAT IS LOCATED AT SUCTION NOZZLE SIDE. IT CAN HELP CONTROL
GEAR MOTOR EASILY DURING MAINTENANCE WORK.

2.5 AIR PRESSURE DROP GAUGE


INSTALL PRESSURE "U" GAUGE OUTSIDE FILTER ROOM. CONNECT AIR
TUBE TO FILTER INLET AND OUTLET SIDE. THIS IS FOR PRESSURE DROP
CHECKING PURPOSE.

3. ADJUSTMENT ITEM FOR AUTOMATIC ROTARY AIR FILTER

3.1 SUCTION NOZZLE


THE DISTANCE BETWEEN NOZZLE AND FILTER DRUM IS IMPORTANT FOR
FILTER EFFICIENCY. NOZZLE CAN NOT DIRECTLY TOUCH FILTER DRUM MESH
BUT FILTER SCREEN. BASED ON EVACUATION FAN INTERMITTER OPERATE
WHEN FAN POWER OFF, KEEP 1 cm BETWEEN NOZZLE AND SCREEN. THEN
DURING EVACUATION FAN RUNNING, NOZZLE CAN SUCK SCREEN UP TO
IT TOUCHES THE NOZZLE.

3.2 FILTER DRUM NON-WEAVEN PACKING


GAP BETWEEN FILTER DRUM AND WALL FRAME OPENING IS COVERED BY
NON WOVEN SEAL TO AVOID DIRTY AIR PASSING THROUGH THE GAP.
MAINTENANCE PEOPLE SHOULD KEEP WHOLE GAP BE FULLY COVERED.

3.3 FILTER DRUM DRIVE BELT


ADJUST PULLEY BELT TO KEEP FILTER RUNNING SMOOTHLY.

3.4 NOZZLE HANGER CAR DRIVE CHAIN


ADJUST CHAIN WHEEL TO KEEP NOZZLE SMOOTHLY RECIPROCALLY RUNNING

4. CLEAN ITEM FOR AUTOMATIC ROTARY AIR FILTER

4.1 NOZZLE CARRY BOX


SOME MICRO FIBER AND DUST WILL PILE UP INSIDE OF BOX. MAINTENANCE
WORKER SHOULD OPEN BOX COVER TO CLEAN IT.

4.2 FILTER DRUM BEARING


SOME MICRO FIBER AND DUST WILL PILE UP AT BEARING SURFACE.
MAINTENANCE WORKER SHOULD CLEAN IT AND FEED OIL FOR BEARING.

4.3 GEARMOTOR
FEED OIL FOR GEARMOTOR.

5. PARTS REPLACE ITEM FOR AUTOMATIC ROTARY AIR FILTER

5.1 FILTER SCREEN


FILTER SCREEN NEED TO BE CHANGED WHEN AIR PRESSURE DROP HIGHER
THAN 30 mmAq OR BREAK OR RUNNING AFTER 2 YEARS.

CLEAN COOLING END OF MOTOR TO AVOID FIBER TO PILE UP THERE,
THAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

4.2 FAN CASING


CLEAN FAN CASING INSIDE, ESPECIALLY WHEN PLASTIC BAG OR ANOTHER
BIG WASTE IS SUCKED INTO THE CASING. THIS CAN CAUSE JAM PROBLEM.

FIBER AND DUST PILE UP INSIDE CLOTH TUBE. CLEAN AIR MOVES THROUGH
CLOTH TUBE AND RECYCLES BACK TO FILTER ROOM. KEEP EVACUATION FAN
INTERMITTER RUNNING ( 15-20 MIN. ON / 3-5 MIN. OFF ) DURING EVACUATION
OFF, RETURN AIR FAN SUCTION PRESSURE CAUSE PIPE AIR REVERSE WITH
SLOW SPEED. BASE ON REVERSE PRESSURE, FIBER AND DUST IS TAKEN OFF
