Foreword

The Amabie is a legendary Japanese mermaid or merman, with 3

fin legs, a beak, long hair and scales, who allegedly emerges from
the sea and prophesies either an abundant harvest or an
epidemic.

As the folklore goes, the Amabie instructed people to draw an

image of it and share it with as many others as possible in order to
stave off disease.

Assembly
Place hair about 4 rounds above eyes, ensuring the hair’s centre seam is in line
with the centre of the head, and pin hair down. Once you are satisfied with the
position, sew the centre seam hair onto head. Arrange hair in a hairstyle of your
preference and sew to set if necessary..
Sew beak on, top of beak in line with top of eyes. Add detail to eye if preferred.
Sew flippers on base, about 2 rounds away from last round. Sew fins on either side
of head, 8 stitches away from eyes and 3 stitches above neck frill.
Your Amabie is done! 
